-- REBECCA ANNE TOLLEY !
-- NAME:Rebecca Anne Tolley
-- NICKNAMES:Becca, klutzy, Tolley, Annie
-- AGE & BIRTHDAY:May 17th. 19 years old
-- BIRTH PLACE:Boston Mass
-- ORIENTATION:Straight
-- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE:She works in an Art studio. The pay kind of sucks. But she's trying to impress her boss enough because she wants to get her paintings out there.
-- PLAYED BY:Ashley Greene-- PERSONALITY !
-- Sweet: There's a reason why she's sweet and that is because of her mother. Actually her personality is the way it is because she doesn't want to be like her mother period. For quite some time she's worked hard to be the total opposite of her mother. There was a time when she tried to be bitchy in high-school to please her mom. She made the cheer leading squad and hung out with people her parents approved of. The rich and the snobs. It soon became old when she realized that none of her friends were real, true friends. So her senior year, she decided that it was better to be nice to everyone. And she soon realized that nothing was ever good enough for her parents anyway. So she looked more towards her nanny Maria for an example. Maria was always nice to people, and so Becca determined to be the same way, and she truly started to make friends who actually cared about her for her and not for her money or status. But she's taken it to the extreme. She acts sweet and happy-go-lucky all the time because her mother always acted bitchy and ornery. There are days when Becca feels ornery herself but she feels like she can't show it because to do so would mean that she's a bit like her mom. That's just a thought process she needs to get rid of.
-- Determined:She was born into a rich household, so she never had to go without. But she always hated the way her parents treated people and she vowed never to be like that. So she's not. She's in college and she works really hard at the art studio. And she's doing it all without a dime from her parents. She's always been determined though. When she's got her mind made up that she's going to do something, there's very little changing her mind.
-- Playful:She loves to have a good time. She loves to laugh and make people laugh. She even knows how to laugh at herself. She's kind of a klutzy person, so she learned very early on to laugh at herself when she has her klutzy moments. It's probably a good thing she never worked as a waitress. She loves people that she can laugh with and just be herself around.
--Stubborn:If there is one major personality trait with her it's her stubbornness. That combined with her determination can make for a bad combination at times. She has goals and she knows where she wants to go to achieve them and she doesn't let anything get in her way. She's extremely stubborn about many aspects in her life. And it can be a bad thing since sometimes she doesn't listen enough to people when she's got an idea in her head, and she shouldn't act on all of the ideas she gets in her head. She won't listen to anybody who tries to talk her out of her ideas. And it can lead to mistakes on her part.
--Insecure:She's been insecure her entire life partly because of her parents. For a few years now she's just been trying to be her own person, the opposite of her mother. But she's tried so hard not to be like her, that she really doesn't know who she is, or if she is the way she is simply because she doesn't want to be like her mom. She's basically still trying to find herself. It has been a lot better since moving out on her own. But she's still get insecurity issues and sometimes she tends to act in certain ways how she thinks that people will want her to act. She has a hard time being herself simply because she's still not sure who that is.
--Naive:She believes in giving people second chances even though sometimes they really don't deserve those second chances. She tries to believe the best in people, even though she knows from experience that not everyone is good. Basically she just wants people to love her since she didn't get a lot of love at home, so she tends to try to surround herself with people who she thinks will love her and sometimes she doesn't exactly pick the best people.
--Oblivious:Becca is good at reading people, most of the time, at least when it doesn't concern her. She can see people and paint their stories. But when it comes to guys liking her or girlfriends being upset with her, she's always oblivious to it. And she can be a tad bit self-centered about it. Whenever a girlfriend is angry with her, the only thing she can think about is, why don't they like me? Not, what did I do to make this person upset with me, and how can I fix it? She means well. But sometimes she just fails to see the bigger picture.

Becca was born to Andrew and Mary Tolley in Boston where she grew up. Andrew and Mary were always rich. Andrew inherited a lot of money when his parents died which was shortly before Becca was born. His parents had owned a wine company and had come into some big money. Andrew was the only child so when his parents died, he inherited the business, the money, and everything else. He didn't want the business. He was going to law school. So he sold the business and became a lawyer. So Becca never really went without. But her parents were never all that interested in her. They were more interested in their parties and their friends. Andrew was also more interested in work.
So she was mostly raised by her nanny Maria, whom she still considers to be more like a mother to her than her own is. From an early age, Becca hated how her parents treated people. They thought they were better than everyone else because of the money they had. That kind of attitude was instilled in her by Maria. She also hated the corrupt dealings her father dealt with at work. Her father was a corrupt lawyer and he never seemed to get caught for the underhanded things he did. She found out just how underhanded he was when she was sixteen and he had her work in his office during the summer. She accidentally found out about some money he siphoned from some clients. She never breathed a word about it to anybody, but she refused to work in his office and she mostly just turned a blind eye.
Many thought that Becca was lucky. But she never got the one thing she always craved for. Her parents love. Sure, her parents gave her credit cards to go out and spend and do anything she wanted, but love was always missing in the household and it affected Becca in a number of ways. Still to this day who she is is largely because of what she grew up with. But she always wanted to please them anyway. So she worked really hard, got really good grades. She was always determined in whatever she did.
She even decided in 9th grade to try to be her mother by basically becoming her clone. She attended all of her mother's parties, and acted like her, dressed like her. And at school she tried out to be a cheerleader, just like her mother had been in her school days. She made the squad and set out to be Ms. Queen Bee. And she became a bitch for a few years to try to please her parents. But it still never seemed to be enough. Her parents were more interested in their own dealings, and trying to stay away from each other since they hated each other. So senior year, she decided that it wasn't worth it. She dropped the bitch act and looked more towards Maria for an example of what she should be like. She discovered that more people became her actual real friends when she was sweet and good, then the friends she had made while being a bitch. And she vowed then and there to be the complete opposite of her mother.
She discovered at an early age that she really loved art. She would go outside for hours and just sit and watch people and paint things the way she saw them. She started out painting people or objects. And then she moved on to landscapes. She still paints all of those things. Just whatever she's in the mood to paint. And in high-school, her pictures even got put in the school newspaper.
After high-school when she told her parents that she wanted to be an artist, they laughed in her face. She moved to Capeside, where she and her parents had spent some summers. She came out here for school. She was determined to show her parents that she could make it on her own. So, she's been in Capeside for about a year and a half now. She's been working at the art studio for a year, and she loves it. It gets frustrating sometimes because her boss expects so much of her and doesn't seem to care that she's an artist and has yet to display her work. Of course, Becca hasn't been brave enough to show her boss her stuff. She only mentioned that she was an artist. That could be because Becca is a tad bit insecure and has a hard time sharing her work. But she'd like to start. So, she works hard at her job, just trying to continue to impress her boss. She paints on the side and goes to school as well. And she also makes time for her boyfriend Jessie, and her friends. She has yet to find herself though. It has helped being away from her parents but her parents still affect the choices that she makes and the person she is. They are in her thoughts almost constantly. She has yet to truly break free of them, and that's her goal. She wants to become someone that she could truly be proud of.-- SAMPLE !
I'll be fine, You'll be fine. This Moment seems so long
Don't waste now, precious time, We'll dance inside the song
Kadie smiled as Toire beamed at her. And she suddenly felt so guilty at pushing this incredible person away for almost a year. None of these people had deserved any of it. She felt sort of like she was underneath a microscope. This past year she'd snapped and even hexed a lot of these guys that were in this room for daring to even try to flirt with her. And she'd spent a lot of time avoiding the other people in here. So they were all looking at her like she was crazy. Like they couldn't believe that the old Kadie was really back. They all looked like she might explode at any second. She felt extremely self-conscious. An actual laugh escaped Kadie's lips at Victoire's words.
"Oh come now, Toire. You know that I could never outshine you,"she said warmly and sincerely.
And then after that, that was when Avery noticed that she was there. And at the moment when she heard the excitement in Avery's voice, coming to this party was worth it. If the rest of the party sucked, this moment would have saved the night. Though it was one of Avery's parties, so she was sure that it would far from suck. They hadn't spoken in ages. Kadie mostly avoided the places she knew that Avery would be. It had been difficult, considering they were in the same house. But Kadie hadn't slept much these days. And in class, she'd been a walking zombie. Seeing Avery and her other friends who were so glad that she was there even though she'd been treating them all like crap and avoiding them for almost a year, was worth coming. And Kadie couldn't help but start to smile. Actually, it was amazing how almost easy it was to get into old habits and start acting a little like the old Kadie.
"Avery, you look amazing, as usual,"she said warmly, so glad that she had come just for this.
James was then responding to Avery's words, and the second bubbling laugh of hers of the night escaped her lips. Then he was looking up at the ceiling like he was embarrassed with the attention. But she couldn't help but smile at his boyish beam. What had gotten into her? She hadn't even had any alcohol in her system.
"Oh yeah James, completely subtle,"she said with a grin as she slugged him playfully on the shoulder. Yup, getting to be just like old times. People were starting to stare. The Snow Queen was actually laughing? What in the world had gotten into her? Kadie herself wasn't sure. Maybe it was simply being back in this environment. But there was no good continuing to harp on herself for her brother's death. No good at all. It was a party. She couldn't be a downer at a party. Especially Avery's party. She would be on her best behavior cause she wouldn't do anything to ruin her best friend's party.
As Victoire pointed out the Ravenclaw who was leaning up against the wall and checking her out, she almost laughed again. The old Kadie would have coyly played with the guy, and would have encouraged him to come over and ask her to dance. But that was the old Kadie. The new Kadie wasn't so sure what she wanted to do. He was attractive enough, certainly. But she wasn't ready for this. She didn't really want this party to be about flirting with the guys. It was a huge step for her just to be out with her friends.
"Please. He should pick somebody he could actually handle. The way he looks, he's probably cocky enough to think that he could melt 'the snow queen's' icy heart. He'll move on in a second,"she said with a shrug as she dismissed the guy, and didn't even think for a moment about encouraging him to come over.
She smiled as Toire shoved the bottle of firewhiskey at Kadie. Kadie took it and took a sip with a grin and agreed with James' words that she'd probably already had enough. She sent a warning look to Toire as she mentioned Lily. And then mentally breathed a sigh of relief as James didn't seem to see her. She didn't even dare look in the girl's direction. She wasn't worried about Lily. She knew that Lily was smart. And she knew what it was like to have an overprotective brother. Of course, she'd needed the protecting cause she always fell for the bad guys. So far, Lily hadn't seemed to fall for any of the bozos that didn't deserve her time. Nah. Lily would be just fine.
"Shit,"she said underneath her breath as the Ravenclaw boy who had been checking her out started to come over. She figured he'd move on after receiving no encouragement on her part. But then, guys did like a challenge. So even after she'd become the Snow Queen she'd gotten almost as many ask-outs as when she'd been pleasant. Guys always dug the challenge. She knew about the bets. The bets guys had considering her. A lot of guys wanted to be that guy to melt her icy heart. Hell. Most said that she had no heart, so the guys wanted to be the one to show that it was still there, that it would warm up for them. All guys that had participated in the bet had ended up being pushed in the black lake, or hexed or some such thing. It was amazing she hadn't been expelled this year.
She could tell that this guy was no different. He had this cocky look on his face and she saw him glance back towards his friends, as if he was saying, tonight is the night I'm going to bag the Snow Queen. She's totally going to melt that heart of hers for me. Guys were so dumb.
"Kadie Snow Queen Barbary,"he said with a grin, trying to act all cool. Like she hadn't heard that one before. Kadie fought not to roll her eyes and tell this guy where to stuff it. She wasn't going to be the one to cause drama at this party and that was that. Otherwise, she might have.
"I'm sorry, have we met?"she asked innocently. Of course they'd met. They were in the same year, they'd had some classes over the years. He looked surprised at the question like everyone should know exactly who he was. But he recovered.
"Listen, would you like to dance? I mean, I could show you a good time,"he said with a cocky grin. Kadie quirked her eyebrows.
"No thanks. Not interested,"she said with no hesitation.
"Oh, it was just, you know. I always wanted to ask you out but I knew your brother would have beat my ass,"he said with a shifty grin before going back to his friends. And just like that, the grin on Kadie's face fled. She knew she needed to stay at this party because Toire was hammered already and she was going to stay here for sure to make sure nothing happened to her. Toire could handle five minutes alone right? Besides, she wasn't really alone.
"I'll be back. Ladies room,"she explained, taking the firewhiskey bottle with her, even though she wasn't big on the stuff. She stepped outside the classroom. Just five minutes. Then she could go back in there and put a smile on her face again. Baby steps. The mention of her brother had just shocked her was all. That punk ass bringing it up like that. She sat there and fumed and drank even more from the bottle.
