-- GENERAL
001. Respect. It's probably the most important thing to remember. Roleplaying should be fun, so don't go ruining that for anyone by showing them disrespect. This goes for members and admin alike. You don't need to love everyone, but you need to show them basic human respect. We practice tolerance here and accept everyone no matter who they are. If you have problems, contact an admin. If you're causing the problems, you will be asked to leave.
002. Not really a rule, but just some info of how to contact the admins. Feel free to PM any admin account or post in the c box, or even post in the suggestions.
003. Stealing makes baby animals turn into giant monsters and take over the world, so don't do it. Ask the owner if you like it, they may let you use and credit, if they say no though, that's it.
-- APPLICATIONS & REGISTERING
004. Your user name may be anything you like, but please change your display name to 'FIRST MIDDLE LAST'. You must do this before your application can be accepted. Your account gender must also be set to that of your character.
005. Follow the application form, do not leave anything off. Yes, you may add more traits to personality, but please don't go over-board. Keep in mind that admins will need to read your application, and we don't want to read three thousand words of one trait.
006. You may post incomplete applications, however if they have not been completed within seven days of posting, without you talking to an admin, they will be denied and your account deleted.
-- POSTING
007. Here at CUPID PAINTED BLIND, we are an advanced-literate (whatever you want to call it) site, and expect quality posts. You must ensure your posts are giving your partner something to reply to, and are full of descriptions not just lists of actions.
008. Capital letters are your friend. Use them, love them. I don't care what you do in ooc, or chatplay, but your in character roleplay posts (and your application) should use capitals correctly please and thankyou.
009. We don't expect perfection, but posts riddled with typos, spelling errors and syntax errors are hard to read for everyone. So please, use spell check, and re-read your posts and fix any errors you do see.
-- GRAPHICS
010. You stretch my site, I will eat you, seriously. We worked hard to create an aesthetically pleasing environment and your stretchies make us weep. No graphics larger than 450px in width in signatures, or posts. Less if you use blockquotes. If your post stretches, I will delete whatever is causing it to stretch.
011. Please keep everything you post tasteful. We don't need to see your character naked and humping a pony. Seriously.
012. Avatar sizes must be no larger then 150x200 please and thank you.
-- RATING
013. While this is a mature site and we allow mature themes, we must adhere to the TOS of proboards. Please make yourself aware of those and follow them. Item 18, in particular. While you may make references to things, please refrain from depicting anything that may result in our site being deleted, because that just isn't fair to anyone who has put hard work into creating the site, and the members. If we find any content we find questionable, we will ask you to edit it, or remove it.
-- SONGS
014. You may be a part two songs per character at most, as long as the plots do not conflict with each other. You don't have to be part of a song plot, either.

ABOUT THE RATING. I've been noticing a lot lately, that there have been a lot of forums taken offline due to TOS violations. It's hard to know for sure exactly what they deem as inappropriate just be reading the TOS, so I've been reading some topics on it at the support forum and I figured I would share that with my members, as it is up to all of us. The proboards staff recommend you follow a 'PG 13' rating. So here is what I've read from a few sites about what that is exactly. I hope this helps.
'PG-13 - Parents Strongly Cautioned - Some Material May Be Inappropriate For Children Under 13. These films may contain sex references, up to four uses of explicit language, drug innuendo, strong crude/suggestive humor, mature/political themes, moderately long horror moments and/or moderate action violence. There are usually no restrictions on non-sexual nudity. However, extreme bloodshed is rarely present. This is the minimum rating at which drug content is present; with the exception of Austin Powers and Click. Marijuana smoking is the only illegal drug use that can be depicted in a PG-13 film, with the exception of Forrest Gump, in which a brief scene depicts an actress snorting cocaine. ' - wiki
I'm looking for a definite list of swear words that are and are not acceptable, but I can't seem to find one. Just try to steer clear of the really huge ones, use replacements when you can and just consider if it's actually necessarily to use the words.

INTRODUCING RAPID FIREOn a trial basis, we are now a rapid fire site. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Instead of being focused on reaching word counts and having long, lengthy posts that take forever, we would like to focus on shorter (but still well written) posts that allow for faster plot advancing, and less pressure. WHY ARE WE DOING THIS? Role-playing should be about fun, and when you owe five replies and are expected to reply to each of them with 700 words, it's not fun anymore. We basically wish to create a more easy going, relaxed environment where you can write as much or as little as you feel the scene needs. WHAT DOESN'T THIS MEAN? This does not mean you can now just reply with one or two sentences. Your posts must still be of the highest quality. We still expect descriptions, thoughts, as well as actions. Smaller post counts do not mean less quality. WHAT IF I LIKE LONG POSTS? That's perfectly fine. I like long posts for situations where there is a lot of emotions to portray, and I know I will be posting a healthy mix of different size posts depending on the day, my muse, and the situation. This new feature does not have to affect any existing threads, and you may carry those on in any way you please, but you will notice the existing fast play threads have been integrated into the rest of the site. Things to note:- I cannot stress enough; the quality of your posts still needs to be high. We will be particularly mindful of accepting people who we feel wont be able to handle smaller posts without the quality dropping.
- Posting a list of actions that all start with "he/she/name did this" will not be accepted. Just because you are allowed to post any length, does not mean the description or the scene or the emotions you are depicting should suffer.
- Please at least post a complete paragraph. We will not put a count on it, but round off your posts nicely with a start, middle and end if it is just one paragraph.
Please be mindful that this is A TRIAL RUN and we may add and change this as we go along until we find what works.
