-- ANNABELLE GRACE DEROSA !
-- NAME: Annabelle Grace DeRosa -- NICKNAMES: Belle, DeRosa. -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: Seventeen. -- BIRTH PLACE: Capeside. -- ORIENTATION: Straight, but has some bi-curious tendencies when intoxicated. -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: Grade eleven. -- SECRET: 001. You’re lying about your age to someone -- PLAYED BY: Jessie James
-- PERSONALITY !
-- ATHLETIC: She grew up in a family that sports ruled everything. With a father that was a team manager, and an older brother that played every sport known to man, it wasn't difficult to imagine Annabelle doing the same. Although, instead of making goals and shooting baskets, Annabelle is involved in gymnastics, dance, and cheerleading. Of course, she isn't afraid to get down and dirty with the guys, playing flag-football and playing sand volleyball with the best of them. Athletic ability must be in her genes.
-- OUTSPOKEN: Annabelle doesn't know how to shut her mouth. If her opinion is wanted or not, she lets everyone know what she thinks. It's not necessarily an admirable quality, but at least people know what's happening in her head. Before she knows it, a thought will travel from her mind to her mouth and she can't control it. Belle is blatant and unreserved, which has caused her to have many enemies from sarcastic or snarky comments that she has made. She really needs to filter what she says, but it's a learned process.
-- LAIDBACK: Belle has learned to take it as she sees it. She isn't one to stress about situations or upcoming events. Most people would hate to be in a group project with her, because she just doesn't worry about things. You would never see her with a calender, trying to plan out her week. Her theory is that things seem much more exciting the day you think of them, so might as well just do it then instead of setting up a time a week later. By then, she's just bored.
-- PROMISCUOUS: In a world where sex and alcohol is so prevalent, Annabelle is definitely one to indulge. She doesn't understand why she should stay away from it. Sex feels incredible and alcohol makes everything go away. Growing up in a home where there was always sex and drugs, it just seemed to follow her. Now, she isn't the type of girl who broadcasts it, but she has built quite a reputation in her high school, thanks to the idiot football players. And basketball players. And baseball players... Well, someone has got to support them, in any season.
-- DISTRUSTING: Annabelle has grown up in a life that people have not been very trustworthy. She can't trust her father, her mother, or even any of her close friends. Every one is always looking for what is best for them. They use and abuse one another to get what they want. Anna has experienced this first-hand, so it's hard for her to actually put her trust in a person. Especially since she had been used so many times.
-- LOVES: smoking, margaritas, club music, rain, bubble baths, chai tea, older men, people with a sense of humor, attention, and batman. -- HATES: cigars, scotch, stress, authority, talking on the phone, politics, spiders, soda pop, gossip (a bit hypocritical because she's often spreading it), and snow.
-- HISTORY !
Growing up in Capeside, Massachusetts isn't easy. Well, perhaps for some quaint families it is, but not for Annabelle. It's a small town where everyone knows everyone's business. The gossip and rumors that start are inhibiting and can break a family. The DeRosa's are one of those families that have been broken by scandal. Of course, the entire town knows about their family and Annabelle has had to bear the weight of it on her shoulder for years.
It began when she was four years old. Her father, Carlos DeRosa, began acting very strange. He would go out drinking all night and then come in screaming and throwing things. Her mother would tell Annabelle to run to her room, and she would always obey. She would crouch in a corner and listen to the screaming for hours. After hearing the arguments, her father would come into her room. He would always tell her to never tell. He told her it was a secret shared by only them, and if she told anyone that he would hurt her, just like he hurt mommy. Annabelle believed him and never told a soul. Her mother had known and would come in her bedroom after her father was passed out on the couch. She would rock her to sleep and tell her that things would get better. They only got worse...
Her father was an alcoholic and her mother would cry every night. Things seemed perfect on the outside. He was a high-status team manager and her mother was a very respectable member of Capeside. Her older brother played all of the varsity sports, while Annabelle excelled in her activities. The family looked perfect, until the word got out that Carlos DeRosa was having an affair with two other women - both that he worked with. Everyone in Capeside had heard about in within a few hours, and the DeRosa's reputation quickly turned ugly.
The looks from people in town disgusted Annabelle. From then on, her and her brother became a unit. No one could say something against the other without a fight happening. Annabelle was lucky to have such a protective brother. There is no saying what would have become of Annabelle without him. Not saying that things with her are perfect now. Most girls who have been molested do one of two things: stay as far away from men and sexual things, or are so caught up and extremely sexual. Annabelle is the latter. It's all about sex for her. It's something that she has control over, something that she knows all about.
Now she is a junior in high school. The scandal of her past is slowly deteriorating and she's making her own mistakes. Currently, she's been interested in older men. All the high school boys are boring to her. Been there, done that. She's now seeing a man who believes that she is twenty-one, when really she is only seventeen. The problem is that she's actually starting to fall for him, but she can't tell him the truth. He would never speak to her again if he knew she wasn't legal. Her parents have divorced, and the only person she can really rely on his her brother. Hopefully things will change for her, but right now she's going to make the most of what she has.
-- SAMPLE !
The sun was streaming through a bathroom window, there was a faint sounds of birds chirping outside, and a slight breeze was coming through an open window. Inside the bathroom was a strong smell of beer mixed with marijuana. There were empty bottles and cans along the counter and a few half-smoked blunts put out in the sink. The room also was tinged with the scent of vomit. A girl was curled up on the floor, an empty bottle of vokda in hand, clearly passed out. The damaging effects of an east side party at it's best.
Who was that dark haired girl that was lying on the floor, grasping an empty bottle of alcohol? The infamous Coralee Brooklyn Rockford. She was known for her wild partying, drug abuse, and numerous sexual encounters. When she partied, which was often, she went all out. Her motto seemed to be "live it up, drink it down". But, in reality, whose wasn't? The girl has a million and one problems and she chooses alcohol, weed, and other various drugs as an escape. The fact that she ends up knocked out on a random bathroom floor doesn't seem to bother her as much as it should.
Coralee slowly came out of her sleep, opened her eyes and shut them automatically. She stretched along the linoleum floor, letting out a groan. Fuck. Her back cracked all along her spine from being curled up for too long. Her tongue felt heavy, along with her eyelids. She heard someone getting up in the next room, but not without sending a pile of aluminum cans crashing to the floor. The sound echoed in her head, causing her to wince and cover her ears. Oh, hangovers. The only downside to her lifestyle. She made a move to get up, but everything went dizzy. "Ok, I'll just stay down here for awhile," she told herself, laying back and staring at the ceiling.
After she felt more stable in her hangover, she decided to try getting up once again. Her head pounded in response, but Coralee eventually made it to her feet. What the fuck happened last night? she asked herself, knowing she wouldn't be able to remember. A boy turned into the bathroom looking nautious. She let him pass and began walking to the door as he vomited, barely making it to the toilet. Coralee held back a gag as she scurried quickly from the room. Her senses seemed like they worked 20 times better when she was hungover. Sounds were always louder, smells always more potent, and light always brighter. She squinted as she made her way through the passed out bodies, strewn across the living room.
Shit, my purse. Waking up the next day was always an adventure. It was like a scavenger hunt. She turned back around, scanning the living room. Too many fucking people. She staggered to the back of the house, looking in the bedrooms. She eventually found it, kicked under a dresser. She opened it and checked it. "Fuck!" she screamed, resulting in a boy's response of shhh and groaning. She didn't fucking care, someone took her stash of weed. No money was stolen, but her marijuana and three pieces of her Trident gum. She stood up and got out her cell phone. She needed to text David to see if he could hook her up with some more.
She made it to out of the house and to her silver '04 Mustang Cobra. Once she got in, she rested her head on the steering wheel, trying to calm her pounding head. After a few minutes, she checked her purse one more time for her beloved bottle of Advil. It was there! You could almost see the relief on her face as she pulled it out. She shook it - nothing. She opened it - yep, nothing. What the hell. She was beyond frustrated. She would have to stop off at the drug store before heading back home. She pulled out her shades to cover her eyes from the glare of the sun and backed out of the driveway.

Longs Drug Store's parking lot was almost full, probably because it was a Sunday afternoon and people were either buying hangover medication (like Coralee), or they were buying something for family church dinner. Coralee stumbled out of her car, earning a look from a family of four, dressed nicely, and a license plate that says "GDLVSU". "What?" she asked them, moving slowly towards the door, her body aching. She stared up at the numerous signs placed above each aisle, telling her what was located in each one. She walked around until she saw "Pain killers/fever reducers", aisle 13. She scanned over the different medicines. This is why I should stop partying, she told herself, knowing fully that she won't anytime soon.
