-- VICTORIANA MARIE STERLING !
-- NAME: Victoriana Marie Sterling -- NICKNAMES: Torie, plain and simple. -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: 16, December 11. -- BIRTH PLACE: Phoenix, Arizona. -- ORIENTATION: Heterosexual. -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: Barista, 11th. -- PLAYED BY: Lily Collins.
-- PERSONALITY !
-- MATERIALISTIC: One would say that jewelry and high priced electronics are what can give a person that “high-class” appearance. Victoriana would agree with that statement, and actually give it more meaning. With a snap of her finger, she had everything a girl could wish for. Cars, money, clothes, priceless and useless antiques. She prefers to have the luxurious items of the world rather than the more deep connections such as love, friendship, etc. If required to kill a person she had no ties to, for the sake of her possessions, chances are she wouldn’t think twice. Though, she does attempt to keep this side of her a secret for the fear of judgment from others.
-- EXTROVERT: Having parent’s in an upper society required Victoriana to develop charisma, even though she rarely bothers to use it. If required, she has no problem mingling and conversing with people. She has an idea that knowing just the right amount of people benefit’s a person in the long run. In school, if there was ever an event that called for a speaker, the young girl was one of the first choices, in most occasions. She tries to maintain a bright outlook to keep herself going, to find joy in striking up conversations with the most tedious of people. A night out and about is more of her scene than reading a book at home or being forced to attend a ball of rich snobs.
-- LONELY: Keeping up the charade of having the perfect life was always unappealing to Victoriana. Failing to meet the standards of her parents created a whole in her heart that never fails to grow bigger and deeper. Even her older sister, Olivia, managed to knock Torie down an inch or two every other day. She’s never felt as if she mattered to anyone. Expectations and material things were always nice, but they only numbed the loneliness for a short while. As a kid, she always wondered what it would have been like to grow up in a middle class family with brothers and sisters who, well, acted as a family. She even pondered what the life of a popular girl with lots of friends was like, not just a girl with high priced acquaintances. Though she does deny that she wants friends and that she is a hypocrite, it doesn’t lower her jealousy every time she sees that perfect family, couple, or friendship.
-- LOVES: Warm Summers, Dancing, Clothes, Jewelry, Friends, Money, Boys, Adrenaline, Drinking, Flowers, Persistence, Unoriginality. -- HATES: Her Family, Couples, High Society, Emotions, Bugs, Quietness, Cats, Excessive Noise, School, Reading.
-- HISTORY !
Phoenix, Arizona, where the temperatures shot past 120 in the summers.
Victoriana was born there to a High Society family. Her parents, Nathaniel and Bianca Sterling, and her older sister, Olivia Sterling, were already a well established family and recognized around the area. They wanted only the best for their daughters. Throughout their childhood, everything was given to them at request. They were enrolled in private schools with only the best academics. Nannies were at their hand and foot at every second. Yes, they had the perfect life.
But once the childhood days were over, and adolescence sank in, Victoriana started forming her own opinions on her parents ways. Class was often boring, social gatherings didn’t appeal to her, and politics sure as hell wasn’t in her best interests. Soon, Victoriana became looked at as the problem child. Most times she was lectured on proper appearance, language, tone, everything that “made a woman a woman”, according to her mother. Nothing appealed to her. She didn’t want to follow in her parents footsteps. If the life she was expected to have was high class and polite, she didn’t want anything to do with it. Thus, she caused just as her parents called her, problems.
Once her sister graduated, Victoriana’s family moved to California where her sister was to be attending school. She ceased the opportunity and confronted her sister about her not tagging along with the family. It was no surprised when she was told that her decisions didn’t mean anything and people would be a lot happier if she left. After hearing this, Victoriana swore that she was never going to be like her sister. Like her parents. If she was going to have a family, she was going to do it right. To escape, she asked her parents if moving with them was something she had to do. After a small argument, and an agreement, Victoriana was on her way to Massachusetts, with the approval of her Aunt and Uncle. The only condition was that Victoriana had to study politics and was expected to send reports her parents. Small price to pay for freedom.
After moving to Capeside, right before the start of high school, Victoriana took her part of the deal and began looking into politics. Never did any book interest her, but she knew it was her only guarantee.
Now, she’s currently residing in the area and living a normal life. Though, she’s lost all ambition to be anything great and just wants to settle down somewhere small. Unfortunately, her parents don’t agree. To keep them happy, Victoriana’s been engaging in “self-esteem boosters” to keep her on track. Actually, these boosters happen to be prescription medication from her therapist, who was hired by her aunt and uncle. Slowly but surely, she’s becoming a little too dependent on them.
-- SAMPLE !
Danica had been happy. She was actually enjoying Esperer for once and was hyped about her senior year. After this, she was off to Florida. Going to college in the crazy party city was her dream. Away from family, friends, anyone who could stop her from doing what she wanted to do. That was the only problem she ever had with people: they were always telling her how to run her life. Well, they tried to anyway. Danica never paid any attention. She was her own person and didn’t need anyone trying to tell her what she should and should not do. Even her own father couldn’t do that. Not even her brother. The only two men in the world she could always rely on and who had never let her down could never hold her down. Danica was a free spirit, going and coming as easily and sneakily as the wind. Anyone who thought they capture her in a bottle without complication was horribly mistaken. Danica was a complication all her own. At least, that’s what she thought. Once most people got the hint, they stopped nagging her.
Except for Zayden Sinclair. Just the thought of his name gave Danica a horrible taste in her mouth. Of all the places, he ended up here. Sure, they were childhood friends. So what. Sure, they once were actually really close and practically best friends. It didn’t really matter. They were so different. The only thing they shared was their ability to consistently bark at each other with sarcastic and annoying comments. It was pointless really. Why did Danica hate him so much? It wasn’t hate. It wasn’t even dislike. It was annoyance. Their personalities could never mix together the way they did when they were children. She was too much of a pessimist and he was too much of…something. She didn’t have a word. But whatever he was, it annoyed the hell out of her. And no matter how much she pushed him away, told him to fuck off, or basically gave him the impression that she hated him numerous times…he still tried. Was still trying. It made Danica absolutely furious.
The fact she was letting someone get to her like this made Danica even more angry. She hated the feeling she got when she heard his voice, saw his face. It made her sick to her stomach. She didn’t like him in New York. Not one bit.
