-- PROTECTIVE: If there's anything to describe Alaric by, it's that he is extremely protective over anyone that he loves. Especially his little sister. He would do anything to keep her safe, and though he describes himself more of as a lover than a fighter, he would bring the same pain to someone who ever tried to hurt his sister. He's usually a pretty laid back guy, however, he doesn't fight often and he rarely even argues with anyone, he doesn't see the point in it. People have their differences, why argue? It's ridiculous for him to think of, why people would waste time fighting over differences when they could just shut up and accept it. However, for the people that he loves, he would fight to protect them at any point at time. He doesn't look like a really tough guy, especially with how shy and quiet and sweet he is, but he has a lot of fire in him and can do some damage before you drag him off of his opponent. He looks out for people, he seems to notice the little things more than most, and it pays off in the end for the both of you.

-- INDEPENDENT: Alaric is a very strong-willed young man. No one tells him what to do, he doesn't like people trying to control his life and he never has. He just can't stand it. He has lost many relationships to this, not listening to what everyone else has to say as long as he thinks what he's doing is right. His parents had some trouble with him even at a young age because he would always throw a fit when they told him to do something, but he had that sort of parents who really in the end didn't care if he did or not. His sister always got more attention but for Ric, that was a good thing. More attention on her meant less on him and he had that much more freedom to do whatever he wanted. Of course, whatever he wanted wasn't much, going out and taking pictures of whatever he felt like, or just staying home and messing around on the computer. He loved his freedom, even if it was just for the simplest of things.

-- RESERVED: Though not altogether shy, Ric was never the more outgoing, vain person that his sister was, and he was always much quieter and easier to forget that he was even there because he would just sit there and stare thoughtfully at you until you remembered him the majority of the time. But this isn't to say that he doesn't know how to loosen up, because Ric is an absolutely terrible trickster when you get to know him, people don't usually expect it from him because he's normally so serene and tranquil but that's what makes their reactions so much more fun when they find out he's the one who short sheeted their beds or plastic wrapped their doors or some other classic prank - he can't help it, he just loves pulling pranks. But it just shows to prove- the quiet ones are the ones you have to look out for.

Alaric Graham Davis was the firstborn of the Davis household. He was always a quiet child, never said much and never really cared if people ignored him or not, even on accident. For instance, he was always that kid that his own parent left him at the grocery store a few times. But it wasn't like it traumatized the kid, he would just sit there and play his gameboy. To be honest, when his sister was born he was just glad that he could have more freedom to do whatever he wanted. And having a little sister was pretty cool, as well. Other than her almost obsessive love of pink, which he rather hated. But still. He was sort of a loner in high school, he had a few friends and everyone basically knew who he was, but mostly because of his sister, who was one of the prettiest girls in school, everyone knew who she was, and therefore everyone knew who he was too. The main reason he ever got invited to anything was to get closer to his sister, which was annoying but sort of amusing at the same time. He rarely, if ever, went to said parties, and usually stayed home and studied instead, unless he went to keep an eye on Callie.

However antisocial he was in high school, he still managed to find someone to love- a beautiful young girlfriend, by the name of Sophia Elaine Driscoll. Ric and Sophia dated from when they were sixteen to twenty four. And that was when he finally got up the nerve to propose. They were engaged for a good three months before they were married, in a little ceremony on the beach, just family and close friends invited, a very simple thing, but quite happy nonetheless. Simplicity was all Ric ever really asked for, and that was exactly the same thing that Sophia agreed on. And honestly, I would love to say that they lived happily ever after, but that just simply was not the case. They did live very happily for the rest of her life, until she died in childbirth with their first baby. Unfortunately, the baby came far too early and he didn't survive it, either, and Ric was left in his far-too-large house, utterly depressed, alcoholic, and completely alone. And when his sister Callie left because of her ex leaving her at the altar, he decided it would be best if he just left with her. Not only did he decide that she needed someone to take care of her, because if he didn't, who would? And he needed a bit of a change as well, it seemed. Still entirely heartbroken over his wife, all he really needed at the moment was to run.
