-- MUSICAL: There is one thing that Xavier has always been good at, whether or not he realises it, and that is music. When he was a little boy his older brothers tried to get him to kick a footy around, that didn’t work. In the end, they enrolled him in music lessons and ever since reading music and playing has just been ‘his thing’. He would much rather sit around in a dusty old room writing song after song than going out on the field and kicking a ball around. He played piano from a very young age and he is a whizz at the guitar, with a great voice to go with it. When he is older, he wants to be a musician, a professional guitarist if he can. He can read four different clefs and he is pretty good at the musicianship side. Thankfully for him, he also has perfect pitch, which is always a help when composing and doing aural exams.
-- GOOFY: Xavier has a habit of goofing off at times. He is the kind of kid that loves to pull pranks and make jokes out of every situation. With his family, he is usually the comic relief of the bunch. Although this goofy behaviour can often land him into trouble, it had also helped him out during very serious moments. Xave simply loves to make jokes, but sometimes he can go too far. Of course, he always has the best intentions in mind and usually just wants to make people feel better if they are upset. Anyone who knows him well enough knows this, but sometimes when making friends he gives out the wrong impression.
-- SHY: For some reason, despite his willingness to perform in front of large crowds, Xave is very shy. He usually recedes into his little shell whenever he is pushed into a new situation, especially one that involves meeting new people. It takes him quite a while to warm up to someone and until then, he is very quiet and mostly gives monosyllabic answers to any questions asked by the other part. He is always worried he is going to say something wrong and so he keeps quiet instead. He often just stands there awkwardly, waiting for any silences to be broken by someone else. Once you’ve got him out of his shell though, he’ll remain out of it and will resume his goofiness. It is only when he is place in uncomfortable situations that he becomes the quiet and reserved side of himself.
-- OVERSHADOWED: Music had always been his thing. Of course, after his younger brother came along, all of a sudden the younger Evans boy was a musical prodigy. Ever since then, Xavier has felt somewhat insignificant in the family. Everyone in the family has their ‘thing’. It is that one thing that they are good at above everything else. Now that there is someone else who is good at music, Xave is just confused about whether or not music is really his talent. He is often falling inside his younger brother’s shadow and he hates it. He feels left out of the family, like he is not worth anything at all. This is one side of him, that insecurity he feels, that he has never let anyone see. He does not want anyone to view him as weak for feeling this way; for fear that he will become even more insignificant. He is simply sick of being stuck in the musical shadow of his violinist brother. However, Xavier is not quite ready to burst out.

Xavier Michael Evans was born into the Evans family as the seventh, but not the last. It would be a year later when his younger sister and then brother were born. Before the next children however, Xavier was born. He liked his family, he decided this very early on in his life. With a large family everyone wanted to know about everything about everyone else’s lives. The children were always snooping into each other’s business, but they were more than used to it. There were ten years separating Xavier and the brother closest in age to him. In between them were all sisters. His two older brothers had pretty much left by the time Xavier was born though, only coming back occasionally. They were both footballers, having found their talent at a young age.

The thing with the Evans family is that everyone seemed to have their own little talent. There were footballers and cheerleaders and dancers. Xavier found his at a young age too. At first the Evans parents tried to get him playing football, assuming all their sons would go in that direction, and this failed miserably. Next, the Evans parents enrolled their son in piano lessons. Thus, their musical son came into being. He started off at piano and soon he was moving on to guitar and singing and even musicianship lessons. His teachers were all very amazed at his progress, and so was Xavier.

Of course, this happiness could never last. Xavier’s younger brother had started violin lessons. Very early on in those lessons he was practically pronounced a musical prodigy, at least in violin. Xavier was angry. Music was supposed to be his ‘thing’ and he was young and did not feel like sharing with his younger brother. He wanted to be the only one with that talent in his family, but it seemed as though that was not going to happen. Still, he took pride in being able to play two instruments and sing, and write. His brother could only play violin. At least Xave had that over his younger brother. Often though, it was his brother getting all the praise in the family. Everyone thought that their brilliant violinist was amazing and worthy of praise. This drove Xavier into his shy and quiet shell, becoming reserved around strangers and new people.

By the age of sixteen or so, Xavier was sick of all the attention everyone else in the family seemed to be getting. Sure, he was not an attention seeker, but he would certainly have liked just a little more of his parents’ love. So at the age of eighteen, once school was done, he up and left. By then, his eldest sister Aimee was living in Capeside. So Xave requested to live with her and although he had to argue with his parents a little first, they let him leave eventually. The first person he met at Capeside was not his sister, but another girl who was his age and had lived in Capeside her whole life. She was kind to him and gave him directions to where he was going. They exchanged numbers and once Xave warmed up, they became close friends. Xavier is now studying music at college in Capeside, whilst continuing his ongoing friendship with this girl and living with his older sister.
