-- PETER JOSHUA EVANS !
-- NAME: Peter Joshua Evans. -- NICKNAMES: PJ, Peej, Pete, Petey. -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: Twenty nine, December sixteenth. -- BIRTH PLACE: California. -- ORIENTATION: Heterosexual. -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: Co-owner of a resturant. -- PLAYED BY: Chris Pine.
-- PERSONALITY !
-- AVOIDANT: PJ is not exactly what you might call .. "responsible." I mean, he has his moments, he's even getting ready to open up a restuarant with his best friend, but for the majority of the time, he just really hates having to commit to things. He just doesn't want to disappoint anyone, mostly. Ever since he blew out his knee and disappointed his coach and everyone on the team, he has avoided a lot of things because he just can't take it, emotionally. He's not really what you'd call completely "mature", either, which seems to go hand in hand with his irresponsibility, he runs away from things with his hands over his ears screaming "nananana i can't hear you!" not only figuratively, but literally. Maturity, according to Pete, is not only optional, but it's also waay overrated.
-- LIKABLE: Regardless of how immature he can be at times, Pete is a sweet-talker. He's smooth and agreeable, seemingly confident and good natured, he knows how to get people to like him and how to stay on their good side and he does it. He gets people, no one really knows how quite to explain it, but he just gets a feel for people straightaway, he knows how to get under their skin and the majority of the time, he does the opposite. It is incredibly hard to get him angry, because personally, he is a very tolerant person. Careless, might even be a good word to describe him, because he really just could not care less about most things. He's a go with the flow kinda guy, and he doesn't see the problem in that, to be terribly honest.
-- WISECRACKING: Something you will learn quickly about Pete is that no matter what, he always has some kind of snappy remark on hand. He's witty, sarcastic, but rarely in a rude way, most of the time it's just teasing, lighthearted fun. Unless you have somehow managed to make him dislike you, and then he is a tiny bit ruthless, but, still. Sarcasm and wit is kind of like a defense mechanism for him, he uses it constantly to avoid any kind of questions or conversations that he doesn't want to answer or talk about, and there is no way you can make him change his mind about talking about it or not, he's very stubborn in this sense.
-- LOVES: His family, football, chocolate, cheesecake, nachos, tacos, mexican food in general, business, rain, cartoons, meat, women, tv. -- HATES: Responsibility, his busted knee, anger, being a disappointment, being sick, anyone who bothers his family, know it alls, cleaning, being told what to do, being asked about his knee.
-- HISTORY !
Pete Evans was born the second oldest in nine kids, twenty nine years ago. He and his older brother always had to kind of stick it out together, take care of the lot of them, but you couldn't say that Pete ever really minded. Sure, he hated being the example, having everyone looking up to him when he was definitely far from perfect, he sort of slipped out of the spotlight as much as possible, but that wasn't long, because he found freshman year that he and his brother had a little bit of a knack for football. And Pete, personally, loved it. If he could have married it, he would. It was all he ever talked about, all he ever thought about, he was obsessed with the game and the best part about it was that he was great at it. He felt invincible on that field. Nothing else mattered. Until, of course, his knee shattered. It had nothing to do with football, of course, he was hit by a drunk driver while he was on his motorcycle one night and it was lucky enough he didn't die, but after being told he couldn't play football, he didn't really get how that was any better.
This was about his junior year. Giving him one year to decide what he wanted to do with his life now that he couldn't play football. He was on crutches. He was told he was always going to have a limp now. But he had to keep a brave face for his family, he didn't want to seem weak or anything, he was seventeen, he didn't know what he wanted anymore. He'd lost his scholarship offers from football, and he felt completely lost. Eventually, he decided to major in business, and he moved from California to New York to go to college - also because he just couldn't take the pity anymore. He wished he could be there for his sister when she got pregnant, but he didn't have the money to go see her, he barely had enough money to get himself into this college. But he soon met a friend by the name of Daniella Cade, and one way or another, they became best friends, and with his business degree, and her cooking skills, they decided mutually on opening a restaurant together, moving to Capeside to do so, it being her hometown and where his sister lived now, to him, it sounded like a pretty darn good idea.
