-- ROSALIE AURORA TURNER !
-- NAME: Rosalie Aurora Turner. -- NICKNAMES: Rose, Rosa, Rosie, Lie. -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: Twenty, January 1st. -- BIRTH PLACE: London. -- ORIENTATION: Heterosexual. -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: College student & intern at local newspaper. -- PLAYED BY: Rachel Hurd-Wood.
-- PERSONALITY !
-- NO-NONSENSE: Rosalie Turner takes crap from no one. She is a very businesslike and practical young woman, she doesn't believe in beating around the bush and she doesn't like to spend her time on things that she deems useless. Mostly, she is well behaved and quiet, but she is not afraid to tell people what's what, no matter who they are or what it is. She hates people who try to sugarcoat things, when they could just say what they mean and get it over with. But at the same time she's a bit of a hypocrite because she doesn't do very well with any sort of criticism, and hates it when people try to tell her what's wrong with her. She likes things plain and simple, as she thinks it ought to be. She is extremely pragmatic and sensible and rational, she doesn't do anything without thinking it through completely first.
-- POSSESSIVE: Rose does not enjoy having her things taken away from her. Even now, when she's twenty years old, she throws a fit when someone tries to take something away that she thinks is rightfully hers. She gets jealous extremely easily, and though she's not proud of it, it's very easy to tell because she gets all steamy and her face gets all red and she gets even snappier and talks even faster than usual. And she usually does talk very quickly. And what makes it worse is that she always denies it and it makes for a lot of her embarrassments in life. She hates being known as the jealous snob that she is, but she can not handle any sort of competition, even the idea of it just makes her go slightly mental.
-- DREAMER: She would never admit to this, but Rose often goes back to her childhood ways of daydreaming and making her own little childish stories in her head, sometimes on paper when she's not doing anything else. But you can't just completely quit on imagination like she claims to have done, and she's always found it to be a very good way to unwind after a long day, getting lost in magical frivolous stories. She still indulges in a good book or movie every once in a while and writes her own little stories when she's feeling particularly creative. But if you were ever to ask her, Rose would always deny it, because she is convinced that such stories make her reputation as a mature young adult go down the toilet, and she is not convinced it would be a very good reason to throw said reputation away.
-- LOVES: writing, journalism, her brother, england, her father, her internship, getting her way, chinese food, a good book, rain, fire. -- HATES: love, needles, elevators, divorce, her mother, holidays, overthinking things, criticism, immaturity, getting jealous.
-- HISTORY !
Once upon a time there was a little girl by the name of Rosalie Turner. Rose Turner was a silly little girl, who believed in silly little things like magic and unicorns and above all, love. She had always thought that her parents set the best example in the whole entire world for true love, though did not most children? She was never around when they fought, and when she was it seemed not to matter very much because it was usually ended quickly enough. Never in a thousand years did she imagine that her parents would ever get a divorce. However, they did, claiming that it was for unreconsilable differences. Rose ended up going to America with her father and younger brother, and her mother stayed in England. Rosalie and her brother have only since seen her on the holidays, but rarely visit any other time.
Boston was where Rosalie and her father and her brother moved to, Boston, Massachussets. Rosalie was not a very happy young woman after the move, she never quite got over the fact that her parents were not getting back together and there was nothing she could do about it whatsoever. And eventually, Rosalie grew up, whether she liked it or not, but grow up she did indeed. She grew out of her silly games and plays and no longer believed in magic, unicorns, or even love, for that matter. One thing she never did grow out of, however, was her love of writing. Not childish little stories as she once did, but the hard, cold, bitter facts of life. She would now much rather be a journalist than anything in the entire world. And being the stubborn and ambitious young woman she is, she is very likely to get her wish.
Rosalie is now a sophomore in college and she is double majoring in linguistics and journalism, and when she isn't studying or at college she is an intern at a local newspaper. She is insanely busy, but she likes it that way, she always has. Being busy just keeps her from over thinking everything, because she certainly will if she gets the chance, and she honestly can not stand that about herself.
