-- AIMEE LOUISE EVANS !
-- NAME: Aimee Louise Evans -- NICKNAMES: Aims, Evans -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: twenty-seven, Fourth of July -- BIRTH PLACE: California -- ORIENTATION: Hetro-Sexual -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: Hairdresser -- PLAYED BY: Sophia Bush
-- PERSONALITY !
-- MATERNAL: As a teenager Aimee never really cared for younger children, they just seemed immature and where forever getting muddy or eating things they shouldn’t. It wasn’t until the 28th of August 2007 when Aimee gave birth to her daughter Lily that her opinion changed. Now Aimee adores children, whether they be her own or not. As a single mother she spends most of her time with her little girl and she wouldn’t change it for the world, being a mom is her number one priority. Being a single mom was not Aimee’s idea of a good time but her drive and determination meant that she managed to do well by herself and her little girl, they became the dream team. Although hairdressing is Aimee’s main job she thinks about opening a daycare, so she can make parenting her full-time job, sure it wouldn’t be quite the same but she just felt like it would be the best thing for her. Like all parents Aimee is very protective over Lily, she’d throw herself in front of a bullet for her little girl but she’d probably do the same for any young child out there. Aimee had only ever seen the bad side of children but now she sees the magic in their eyes, the way everything holds a sense of excitement, even things Aimee herself finds extremely dull. -- SOCIABLE: Aimee tends to immerse herself in a circle of friends, she depends on other people’s company and hates being by herself. The school guidance counsellor had suggested that Aimee became a hairdresser because to him it meant being paid to talk, which suited the brunette perfectly. Before Lily was born Aimee was a bit of a party animal but since the arrival of her daughter it’s been less drinking and more dinner parties. Of course sociable is a pretty vague word but Aimee seemed to encompass every aspect of it. She would happily approach a stranger and ask them how there day was going, or chat up a guy in the local coffee shop. Aimee had been that way since a young child, her parents worried because she never seemed to pick up the ‘stranger danger’ lesson, she found them intriguing instead of frightening. If you want to chat with someone about very little for quite a long period of time then you’ve found the perfect person. -- CREATIVE: It’s not that Aimee is a naturally gifted actress or is the next Picasso, she just loves to do creative things. She is constantly drawing though you’d be pushed to try and decipher what it was that she’d been sketching; she just finds it therapeutic. Singing is another creative outlet that Aimee loves to try but isn’t that great out, lucky for you she tends to save her wailing just for private performances in the shower, it’s her pets you should feel sorry for. Fashion is the one creative thing that Aimee seems to actually possess, she can’t make clothes or any of that fancy things but she loves to create outfits and maybe fix them with a few unique things. If she wasn’t a hairdresser, or the owner of a daycare, Aimee could maybe be a personal shopper, she adores shopping and especially finding small boutique shops that no-one knows about. There are very few things in Aimee’s wardrobe that come from highstreet stores, she likes to be unique.
-- LOVES: rain, ice cream, photos, friends, family, apple sauce, brussel sprouts, England, receiving letters and jogging. -- HATES: queues, email, nuts, rap music, lentils, planes, back packs, adverts, chess and socks and sandals.
-- HISTORY !
Aimee Louise Evans was born on the fourth of July much to her parents surprise, she was there Independence Day baby and if there was one thing that Aimee Evans never lacked then it was independence. She was the third in a family of nine children but it didn’t bother her, she loved having people around her all the time. Growing up Aimee tended to fade into the background, she was pretty loud when she wanted to be but her younger brother had gotten grade eight on the violin but the time he was twelve and her two older brothers were on their way to become superstar Football players, Aimee seemed to have missed out on finding her big talent. She worked hard in school and gained a place on the private school that her parents couldn’t afford, so she worked even harder in a big to gain herself a scholarship, but she missed out and it was then that she vowed that her children wouldn’t miss out because of money, she never wanted to have to decline her child an education that they wanted because it was too expensive. Through middle school Aimee tried everything hoping to find her niche, but it turned out not to be art, music, theatre or chess, but she did find one thing that she wasn’t terrible at, cheerleading. She first tried out thinking it would just be another thing to tick off her list but they accepted her and soon she was tumbling across the floor like she’d been doing it for years, she felt at home, she was surrounded by ‘friends’ but she was keeping active, it was perfect.
The Highschool rolled around and she worked her way up to Cheer Captain, she continued to work hard at school but no longer just to do well, she did it to keep her place on the team, that was all that mattered. It was when graduation drew near that Aimee began to realise that she needed to put her priorities in order, and cheerleading would never be a full time job. Hairdressing was a bit of a last minute decision, she started off at Massachusetts College studying Psychology but the Math became a bit difficult and by the time she finished College she’d tried nine different majors and was pregnant. She started to train as a hairdresser in her first year as college so she could make money but then once she’d had Lily it became a career and she was pretty good at it. So, I skipped a bit, it was after graduation that Aimee confronted the ‘baby daddy’ but as she expected he turned to leave and she never spotted him again, apart from when his name appeared in her bank statement, he wanted to support her and Lily, but from a great distance. So, she left college without a proper idea of what she wanted to do and baby in her stomach but somehow she ended up doing pretty well.
Aimee didn’t really want a baby but there was no chance she was going to give her up, the baby was a part of her and she always would be. After leaving college Aimee reluctantly moved back in with her parents but as soon as Lily was old enough to go to daycare and Aimee was able to work again she bought them a flat and they were independent, exactly what Aimee wanted. It was two years ago that Aimee decided to up sticks and move back to Massachusetts where she had been for College, she had friends there that would help but not interfere, a nice change from her family who would do the exact opposite. Aimee hates putting Lily in daycare every day but she doesn’t have a choice, she needs to make money but soon it’ll all change, now age four Lily can start going to school for half a day which will take great strain off her mother. Her life is now starting to get on track but the question is, how close is the next speed-bump to cause her a problem.
-- SAMPLE !
Maddi didn’t like the feeling of being back at school; she had had a pretty successful education but the thoughts of going back all those years were not a pleasant idea for her. Maddi had been a pretty popular girl at school but mainly with the males, she had always dressed quite ‘slutty’ and it had made the girls start to dislike her but nevermind that, Maddi was no longer attending highschool but instead she was teaching at it. She was dressed very smartly in a pair of trousers, a modest t-shirt and flat shoes. Maddi wasn’t used to wearing flats and she felt incredibly small but she wasn’t going to let that bring her confidence down. She walked towards the theatre, the way she had been shown by the dean earlier in the day. She smiled at students as she passed them, feeling very responsible although she had a feeling she didn’t look it. Madison Collins wasn’t exactly your usual teacher type but she had heard that most teachers at Newport High were the stereotypical type. Maddi was actually quite looking forward to the staff room although she also suspected that wasn’t as exciting as every child imagined it to be. At a mere 5”2 most of the pupils towered over Maddi but she stood tall clutching her folder full of lesson plans. She had a class today where she was going to start with projection, it was actually one of the hardest things in theatre but once you had the knack it was as simple as that. She knew a lot of people depended on microphones but she wanted to teach these kids that they weren’t necessary; she once did a whole west end show without a mic because hers broke and her changes were too quick to fit her with another one.
She entered the auditorium and took a deep breath; she loved seeing a theatre so empty and unused, it was a haven for her. Maddi did love doing tv and films and such but the theatre was where she loved to be, she loved having a whole stage and being able to see and meet the audience that had come out just to see the show she was in. She knew it was harder and more expensive to get to the theatre and come see the show then flip on the tv and watch her. She knew she would miss coming out of the stage door and being able to sign all the programs and CD’s of the people who had come to see her but she knew there would be elements of teaching that she loved as well. Her smile widened as she noticed the piano which stood on the stage and she got excited and bee-lined towards it. Maddi loved music, she hadn’t been an actress she probably would have been a musician but she knew she was better with musical theatre songs. She smiled at sat down at the gorgeous piano whilst she softly ran her fingers across the keys. She played a few notes and then started to play the title song from legally blonde the musical. Of course it sounded incredibly different without the orchestra and such but she loved it acoustically, to help her learn the songs Maddi had learnt them all on the piano too so she could practice them at home, it helped her with the notes and the tuning.
She started at the beginning with the soft lyrics ‘take back the books and pack up the clothes’ it was an emotional song and she couldn’t help but get caught up in Elle’s story whilst she sang it. Her face automatically told Elle’s story and she just managed to stop herself crying slightly, the meaning behind that song was hardwired into her. It was one of Maddi’s favourite songs because it started off so slow and peaceful and ended up pretty energetic and powerful; it built up so steadily and showed such a change in the character. Maddi knew she probably shouldn’t be playing the piano during school hours but she had ten minutes before school started and nothing else to do with her time so this seemed like a good use of time. She didn’t need to set anything up as she had the scripts in her folder and she was working on projection so all they needed were their words and their voices. Although she was about to teach projection Maddi didn’t project her voice too far when she sang because she didn’t want people down the hallway to hear her, she was probably at 20% compared to the strength of her voice in the theatre. Maddi knew some people felt she was a little obsessed with Legally Blonde but when you get that attached to a role it just becomes part of you. She was the first Elle ever on Broadway and that was something that she would never forget, it was something she would hold closest to her and so this musical and these songs would always be some of Maddi’s favourites.
