-- FREYA GRACE ACTON !
-- NAME: Freya Grace Acton -- NICKNAMES: Frey -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: Twenty,` 13 October -- BIRTH PLACE: Stratford-Upon- Avon -- ORIENTATION: Straight -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: College student, studying Medical Science -- PLAYED BY: Taylor Swift
-- PERSONALITY !
—PEOPLE PLEASER: Some call it ‘being a pushover’ others a ‘doormat’, Freya prefers to think of it as being a people pleaser. If there is one thing she can’t stand, it’s letting people down, and so she tries her best not to, ranging from waking up a 4am to take her brother to the airport, to studying Medical Science. Yes, the course she studies at University which dictates her entire life might be a little high on the whole ‘trying to please people’ scale, but there’s never really been any other option available. And if she ever did tell her parents that she didn’t want to be a doctor (which she never would) she knows she would have to have a set outline and goals and a plan of exactly what she’d do instead, and she just... doesn’t, plus her Dad would never forgive her. But, hey it’s not that big a deal, it’ll be fine.
—PRIVATE: Everyone has their dramas and Freya is no different, but she doesn’t like to hang out her issues for everyone to see. She has that very British stiff-upper-lip/ fear-of-scandal thing. She really doesn’t like having to do the whole confessing or talking about stuff that’s going on, her problems are her own problems and she’ll sort it. This doesn’t mean that she’s any good at keeping her issues private (is anyone really, it always comes out eventually) and most of the time her friends know if there is something going on with her as she goes quiet and... well, yeah a little sulky. However, one thing Freya likes to make sure is that her friends know that if they need a shoulder, she’s there.
— INDEPENDENT: Linking to the previous point Frey is majorly independent in pretty much every aspect. As long as she has a circle of friends and family that are there should she need them. Other than that, relationships are nice, but she’s so terrified of being one of those clingy, needy girls that she finds it difficult to let go and fall, this extreme independence has often been mistaken for coldness, especially by ex-lovers- but she’s not cold, honest, just... scared. So, with every intimate relationship failing after around four months, she’s started feeling a little doomed. She doesn’t need to be in a relationship- hell, she’s the first to admit that, but deep down, she wants one.
— CREATIVE: Freya has always had a creative edge from when she was very young, writing little stories all the time, as she grew older these stories morphed to poetry which turned to music. She learnt both guitar and piano, and has a fair singing voice, she’s been told by number of people it’s good, but she’s a little nervous about it. Part of her would love to perform music for a career, but she knows logically that that probably won’t happen. It doesn’t stop her playing though, in talent shows, karaoke and on YouTube, or writing her own music. And he notebook that she uses for her music is filled a little more every day. — PERFECTIONIST: Yes, she’s perfectionist, always has been, probably always will be, and she's pretty sure it comes from her parents (what would Freud say?), being the youngest, and the quietist of her siblings, and with the hectic careers both her parents had, the easiest way to get any attention would have been to do the best she can at everything; get all As, win first place, anything for her parents attention, and a ‘well done’. Okay, that's probably a lie, the easiest way would have been to rebel, but she's pretty such that no one (not even she) would be able to take any form of rebellion seriously, not from, Freya, she's too goody-goody. As a result, she can be really annoying with this strive for perfection. Every song she writes, every essay, every exam, every baking session. Hell, even her dorm room has to be pristine to a scary OCD degree. She could spend all day cleaning with ease. Everything has its place, and it just has to be just so because... we... it just does.
-- LOVES: Cats, literature, her guitar, playing the piano, singing (both badly, and not), crime shows, thriller/horror films, romcoms, Doctor Who, Firefly, dancing around her room like an idiot, lingerie, sex, cocktails (Margaritas and Cosmos especially), broccoli, parsnips, sex, wine, baking, Disney films, constructive criticism, language, the theatre.
-- HATES: People being mean, mess, germs, insomnia, dogs, spiders, being ill, breaking up, people behind her coughing in her hair, ignorance, chocolate (but she does like chocolate ice cream, gory stupid films, period pain, children.
-- HISTORY !
Born and raised in Stratford-Upon-Avon, on the 13 October along with her twin brother, Simon into a family of medical professionals, her mother is a GP, dad a plastic surgeon, their parents both worked in medicine, and their siblings, as well as her older sister, Sarah who’s a midwife, so there was no doubt what she was destined for.... The theatre! No, joking. Their entire lives both Simon and Freya were told that when they were older they would go to uni, and medical school, and become doctors. Other than this strict plan her childhood was pretty ordinary, average. In fact her entire life has been pretty average, boring, the most exciting thing being the fact that she has a twin brother, who is older by seven minutes (but never lets her forget it).
Never really popular, in her pre-teen and teen years Freya found herself being bullied, she was shy, easily embarrassed, intelligent and a bookworm, so it was bound to happen. Yes, she has a small group of friends, but even in that group there was only maybe one or two people she would ever even think about confiding in, the rest always seemed to take advantage of her friendly persona for lifts, or cash or favors. In order to escape the bullies and the nagging friends, Freya had two outlets, reading. She read a lot in her early teens- still does whenever she gets chance. And music, she has always loved playing music, learning new songs, writing new songs, anything to just get away for a while.
Simon has always been her best friend in the world, yeah they have their moment, they’re brother and sister, and yeah, they’ve beaten the crap about of each other, but they are the only person the other can come to about anything, and when she left the UK for Uni, he was the hardest person to leave, and she calls him or skypes him all the time. So, why did she leave? Easy really, adventure. As much as she loves her family, they can be a little... intense, not in the overly clingy, butting in way, but in a pushy, controlling way. Both twins wanted to get away as far as possible, and Freya applied for so many universities all over the country, and Scotland. When she found Capeside College, honestly, she applied just for a joke, never in a million years did she think she would actually have an offer. But she was, and accepted the offer without really thinking- spur of the moment.
Of course she’s doing a medical science course, with her parent’s hopes that she’ll become a doctor, or a surgeon but honestly... She just not sure, when she pictures herself in the future does she see herself as Dr. Freya Acton? She’s not so sure. But what else will she do? At least this way she has a plan, and will do some good. Sometimes, yeah, she gets excited, and at the minute is tempted by pathology. That way she’s still a doctor, but with her own spin on it. Originally this idea was just to tease her parents, something they wouldn’t really approve of (especially her father) but the more she thinks about it... Maybe... We’ll have to see.
-- SAMPLE !
Lily was a cat person, always had been and always will be. Yet, here she was, walking through the park with the most pathetic looking dog she’d ever seen. A small brown Pomeranian with the most ridiculous name she’d ever heard; Sir Alonzo Fluffykins Pedro III. And boy, did they hate each other. The only reason they were in this situation in the first place was due to Lily’s inability to say ‘no’ to anyone. Ever. It was going to get her killed one day, she was sure of it. Well either her or Sir Alonzo Fluffykins Pedro III. What the hell kind of name was that anyway? And the dog wasn’t even a dog in the first place! It was a ball of fur. Fur she was stuck brushing for an hour every day. Dumb mutt!
It all started last week, when her neighbours, the annoying delightful Petersons, knocked on her door explaining that they were going on a cruise around the Caribbean Islands- lucky for some- and needed someone to look after Sir Alonzo. ”We’ve called everyone else,” Mr. Peterson had explained ”but they are all too busy, and we’d hate to have to put him in a kennel!” And being the pushover she was, along with her massive guilt complex, Lily had agreed to take care of the fluffball for the duration of their two week long cruise. And she had no idea what she was letting herself in for.
The walks weren’t that bad actually; she liked going for walks anyway, and the warmer weather coming through was making them quite pleasant, if you ignored all the dog crap she had to pick up. But she supposed it could have been worse- at least he wasn’t a Great Dane or something. Besides, she had been able to prepare herself for that. What she hadn’t been able to prepare for, what she had no idea was coming. Was that the dog peed EVERYWHERE but outside. Thank god he did... other business outside, but he always left little puddles all over her apartment, which was disgusting. Once more, the Petersons hadn’t mentioned anything about such problems when they told her how to take care of him (it’s a freakin’ dog, how hard could it be, she had thought). Nor was there anything in the handbook (yes, handbook) they gave her.
Not only did the mutt use Lily’s apartment as his own personal urinal, but he chewed EVERYTHING! Literally, nothing was safe! Every morning she dreaded getting out of bed, discovering what else had suffered the tragic fate of Sir Alonzo fluffykins Pedro III. “Okay, Sir Alonzo,” Lily said crouching down to unhook his lead, “stay where I can see you, now go on be free!” She told him standing back up and the tiny dog yapped at her a few times before running off to chase and play with the other dogs, leaving Lily by herself, walking over to an empty bench to wait for the dog to tire. Lily yawned, covering her mouth with the back of her hand, the other slipping into her bag to pull out her sunglasses. As she placed the glasses on her nose, her gaze scanned the park searching for the dog, smiling slightly as she found him, chasing a, much bigger, dog.
Yeah, Lily was definitely a cat person.

-- PENDING ! Hi Cassy! You have a great start on the app here but there are just a few teeny things that need to be looked at. - Firstly, the title of the app should be her full name in all lowercase
- For the personality points, you need to put the trait IN ALL CAPS
- Try to maybe explain why she's a perfectionist a bit more simply to get more depth in that point.
Once those things have been fixed just PM one of the admins or reply here and we will look over it again. Thanks Cassy and welcome back!
