[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,305,true] Alyson was in a very impatient mood. It was April! April! And her wedding was in early July! The young was fast running out of time to do everything she needed to do for her big day, and that was stressing her to no end. If Alyson didn’t get everything she organized done in-time... Well. To be honest she was probably likely to consider cancelling or postponing it. She was nothing if not a perfectionist, and the blonde was just not going to walk down the isle if she was not satisfied with the plans. It wouldn’t come to that though, she told herself soothingly. She still had some time left, and her dress was almost done, and the bridesmaids dresses were underway. Her venues were locked in and the invitations had been mailed last week. It wasn’t a completely hopeless case.
Today’s plan as to try and make some choices on table settings. The Golf club’s usual wedding vender was showing her some mock-up table settings at the club, and Alyson, along with her close friend and flower supplier, Audrey, were going to look them over, and discuss what they thought would be best. She was hoping the vender would come with some actually valid options. Some people (usually from the Grady Hollow end of Capeside, or the tacky rich people) struggled with the concept of elegant. Well, you couldn’t buy taste, she supposed. Parting her car, Alyson grabbed out her purse before making her way into the main building of the golf club. The function room she had chosen was further off away from the golf course, closer to the resort. However she’d planned to meet Audrey at reception.

The idea of being in a bridal party excited Audrey. She was in two- her sister’s, in which she was the maid of honor, and Alyson’s, in which she was a simple bridesmaid. She adored these kinds of things. Planning, making sure everything was perfect. These were things she found to be fun. So whenever one of the brides-to-be asked her for help, if she wasn’t working, she was definitely willing to lend her services out for the day. Which was the precise reason why she was currently on her way to the Capeside Golf Club and Resort, which was a place where she didn’t often venture. She wasn’t quite as classy as most of the people who went there on a regular basis- she was the kind of person who only really needed a simple place to hang out. Plus, golf had never been her thing. But this was a popular place for weddings, as well as receptions, because really, Capeside didn’t have a whole lot to offer. This place was one of the best.
Upon arrival, she climbed out of the car and made her way into the club. It took her a moment, but she finally set sights on a familiar head of blonde hair. ”Alyson!” she greeted, looping an arm around her friend’s waist. Her own spirits were rather high, as per usual. Audrey had always been a pretty cheerful person, and always wanted to make sure everyone else around her was in a good mood as well. Things were just… More fun that way. ”Are you ready to view some of the best set tables in Capeside? Hopefully, anyways. Fingers crossed. And toes. But not legs- you’ve caught yourself a man, now. Sex is a vital component,” she teased, a smile playing along her lips.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,305,true] Alyson let a grin tug on her lips as she greeted her friend. “Hey darling.” She leant in, to kiss the other blonde on the cheek before allowing the other woman to pull her into a one armed embrace. Honestly, she was completely thankful for Audrey at this point. The woman was a true godsend. Given her occupation, and that flowers were a big part of a wedding, Alyson felt herself lucky that she had such a contact. Audrey had some experience with doing the flowers for a wedding, and Aly knew that her sister was also getting married, so the woman was an amazing source of information. Being the sort of woman that she was, of Course Alyson was using that to her full advantage. At the other woman’s joke, Alyson threw her head back in laughter. “Now now, I am wearing white to my wedding. Are you questioning my virtue?” She gave the other woman a small wink, before reaching her arm around Audrey’s middle to give her a squeeze.
“Alright, come on, let’ get this started.” Leaning in, she pressed another kiss to her friend’s cheek before breaking away to move towards the reception desk. Smiling at the woman, she introduced herself and the reason she was there. The receptionist informed her that the venue’s function planner wanted to meet Alyson in the location her reception would take place. Smiling her thanks, Alyson moved back to Audrey. “Come on.” She nudged the other blonde and headed outside. “The reception room is towards the last hole closer to the resort. Shall we walk or drive it?”

Audrey liked the sort of feminine banter she always had going on with Alyson. Their personalities meshed well together, which she supposed was the reason why they were such close friends. At Aly’s response to her joke, she merely smirked. ”Of course I’m questioning your virtue, Darling. It’s my job as your bridesmaid to know everything about you. It would injure my reputation if I’m shocked by something you spout off drunk at your reception. It may be your day but I’m sure your future hubby is going to have some luscious groomsmen. I have to appear cool, calm, and collected if I want a wider selection.” She was mostly joking. Of course, weddings were wonderful places to find good looking men, there was no doubt about that. And she was guessing that there was a perfectly plausible chance that Alyson may slip something up after a lot of alcohol at her reception, if only because she expected that of all brides to some degree. But it was mostly just all in good fun.
Linking arms with her friend, Audrey kept silent through the exchange with the receptionist then lightly bumped hips with Aly on the way out. ”Walk. It’s not that far, and we look far too fabulous to be cooped up in a car. Just because you’re getting married, it doesn’t mean that you can’t try to see how much attention you can attract from other men. Marriage shouldn’t take all the fun out of life. You have sex appeal. Use it.” That’s how she lived her life. Flaunt sex appeal. Tease. Disappoint. Repeat. It was working pretty well for her.
