Seth loved working at the movie theater. Really, he did. He probably spent more time in that building than absolutely necessary, which… In all honesty, wasn’t very healthy for his social life. But he loved the people he worked with so he didn’t see a problem with it. Today, though, he was actually working, although… That was a relative term, even, for the moment. The thing about working at a movie theater is that there were rushes, but there were even longer lulls in activity. Most of the films started around the same time, so there was always about an hour in which everyone was buying tickets and refreshments before things started up. But after everyone was settled in, aside from the occasional person wanting to refill their popcorn… There was nothing to do.
So he took it upon himself to make up things to do.
Always restless, he was currently seated on the edge of the counter next to the popcorn machine, legs swinging off the edge. There was a cup on the counter opposite of him, next to the cash register, and another cup of ice in his hand. He was taking it upon himself to toss the ice cubes one by one to the other cup. He was managing to make most of them, but there was a good pile of water gathering around it. Oh well. He’d clean it up later.

Wesley had been standing in the doorway of the store-room for a good few minutes now. Just watching. Now, had he been another sort of shift manager or had it been during a busy time, Wesley would probably have been miffed at the goofing off the other guy was engaging in. He was in a good mood though. Honestly how could he not be in a good mood? Kennedy had been over last night, and didn’t have to work so the young man had been able to spend hid whole morning with the amazing woman before work. He also had a good set of staff today. Wesley hated working with some of the much younger employees who gave him attitude or didn’t pull their weight. He also hated people who came to work in a bad attitude and couldn’t have any fun. Thankfully, Seth was none of those things.
Clearing his throat, Wesley arraigned a look of annoyance to his features. If Seth was going to have some fun, then so was Wesley. If it was anyone else, he wouldn’t pull a trick like this because they were likely to take it the wrong way, but he and Seth were actually pretty amazing friends so he knew it would be taken as it was meant- as a teasing joke. Once he was sure that Seth had heard him clear his throat, Wesley nodded curtly towards the water on the floor. “That’s a safety hazard you know.” He spoke crisply, working hard to keep the smirk from his features. “Someone slips, sues the company and we both loose our jobs.”

Seth was relatively engrossed in what he was doing when Wesley’s voice captured his attention. He cocked an eyebrow, pausing his activities to listen to what the man had to say. He quite liked his boss. As long as he did his job when he needed to, he was allowed to goof off like this. Plus, Wes would even partake in some of the activities, which was pretty cool. He liked it when people joked with him. Which is why he didn’t take the man all too seriously when he came out and spouted off something about how someone could slip in the water. ”Huh,” he merely joked back, popping an ice chip into his mouth, ”Go figure. Good thing I don’t actually like this job.”
He tossed another ice cube, only this time at Wesley, and gestured around the lobby. ”No one’s gonna slip unless they walk behind the counter. Then again, that was kind of my plan. Make a mess, fall in it, then sue your ass. I’m not fretting.” Seth grinned, then, an ornery look on his face as he tossed another cube towards the opposite counter. He really had every intention of breaking out the mop to clean up his mess before the next rush, anyways. And if he didn’t, well, it would be his ass falling on the damn ground, but he certainly wouldn’t do anything about it. ”Hey, Bro. So. Give me your opinion on 3D movies. Like ‘em? Hate ‘em? Only want a one night stand with ‘em? Valid question.”
