-- PRAGMATIC: To say that Cameron is fairly logical would be a lie. He lives most moments of his life with a rigid adherence to logic and reason. He doesn’t really believe in things that can’t be explained, such as Heaven or Hell, ghosts and unicorns, and anything of the supernatural manner. He believes in math and science, and other things that can be proven with concrete facts. When faced with a decision, he never reacts on instinct. He takes his time to think about the benefits and the consequences in order to avoid any possible repercussions. Thinking of plans is something he does for most occasions and being unprepared for a situation is extremely unnerving for Cameron.
-- RESERVED: Reserved but not shy. When he wants to be, he can be fairly social and in to a conversation, whether on a group or individual level. He isn’t anti-social, nor does he have any fear of being in social situations; Cameron simply prefers to be on his own or in a very small group of people. Most of the time spent with other people is actually spent with his boyfriend, rather than friends. Due to the fact that they move around so often and have to hide a big part of their life, the conning, he stopped bothering to make friends. Malcolm is the more social of the two anyways and does most of the charming.
-- CURIOUS: Ever the intellectual, Cameron has always had an interest in discovering facts. They could be random or important, but research is something he’s quite fond of. Before a move, he carefully researches the location he plans on going to. He’s always had an interest in watching documentaries over television, reading books over comics, and was always the leader in group projects at school. To narrow it down, you could basically say he is very much a nerd. He’s okay with that, however, and prides himself on his ability to quickly recall stored information in his head.

If anyone had a normal beginning in the world, it would be Cameron. His parents met, fell in love, and got married. They spurted out his two sisters before he finally came rolling along. His father always wanted a son who could carry on the family line. For the first few years of his life, Cameron and the rest of his family bounced around in a small home located in Johannesburg, South Africa. His father was originally from a small town in Texas but once he joined the military when he was eighteen, he moved around the world ever since. He met Cameron’s mother when he was stationed in Paris and they married two years later in Italy. Two years after that, when the first daughter was born, Taylor Delport was then stationed in Johannesburg. When the eldest daughter was two, the second daughter was born, followed by Cameron three years later.

Taylor was stationed in Johannesburg for much longer than he or his wife, Annabeth, ever expected. They ended up staying in South Africa until Cameron was twelve years old. By then he had already discovered his affinity for boys and his lack of care for girls. He didn’t tell his parents, of course, as he knew his preachy, religious father would just about strangle him, if not destroy his life. When he was twelve, they moved to New York where Cameron didn’t exactly fit in. He had no care for the girls who flocked him as he grew into his teen years, but he also never really found his niche in school. It was hard for him to adjust to the way Americans did their schooling, despite the fact that he was an incredibly intelligent man. By the time he was fifteen, he was tired of lying to his parents about his interest in men and came out to them. His mother still remains in denial to this day but still talks with him every couple of days. His father, on the other hand, beat him to a bloody pulp before throwing him out on the streets. At fifteen, he would have been in a rather desperate situation, had it not been for a pitying well-doer mother of a girl who had had a crush on him for years. They took him in and he found a part-time job. He work and went to school, saving every penny that he had, and when he was eighteen he moved away to university.

But before that, he met a very important person. At just sixteen he found himself involved with a con artist. Cameron liked the guy, but with their age difference all he could really do was appreciate his looks. That was enough for him, but when Cameron was faced with the decision of where he was to go to university, he found himself lost over the thought of leaving Malcolm behind. When he expressed his wishes to go to Harvard, however, Malcolm jumped at the chance to scam rich, oblivious students who would no doubt be flocking the college campus. After four years of undergrad work, a year for his Masters, and a year for his doctorate, he came out as a doctor of mathematics. In those six years, his relationship with Malcolm extended beyond business partners. During a rather sexually tense time in his first few years of university, he finally gave in and did something about his desire for the man. Over the next several years their business partnership continued with the added bonus on the side, but within the past few years their relationship has turned quite serious. They’ve travelled all over the world and landed themselves in Capeside for a brief period of time to erase any possible chance of trails behind them.
