-- JOSIAH IAN EVANS !
-- NAME: josiah ian evans -- NICKNAMES: siah -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: 31 & june 7 -- BIRTH PLACE: california -- ORIENTATION: heterosexual -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: personal trainer -- PLAYED BY: ian somerhalder
-- PERSONALITY !
-- MOODY: The obvious thing to say about Josiah’s personality is that he is heartbroken. He is not interested in dating other girls, nor is he interested in even looking at any. His friends tried to get him out to bars but he didn’t want to deal with the girls who wanted to flirt with him. He couldn’t handle pretending to be nice to them when he was dying inside. In addition to that, he can’t stand girls like that in the first place. He likes women that can respect themselves and not just throw themselves at someone to get attention. He is often the strong but silent type and isn’t a fan of people that love to the be the centre of attention. Then they just drag him in and he doesn’t want to share the spotlight. That’s not to say he doesn’t like to have fun; well, he used to like to have fun. The only reason that word is still in his vocabulary is because of Isaac, and even so it’s hard for him to be completely there for his child. Lately his personality has been dry and unpleasant. His temper is short and the smallest little things tick him off. When he gets mad, he gets pissed, and you don’t want to be in the way. -- PATERNAL: But on the other hand, around his son he’s like a completely different person. Though he isn’t smiling on the inside, he pretends to be bright and happy. He doesn’t feel guilty about lying to his son about how he feels because he doesn’t want his son to feel the same way. He doesn’t want Isaac to remember Sophia’s death; he wants him to remember her in life, as the happy, vibrant mother she always was. And in that case, he always plays with his son, gets up early to cook him breakfast, pick him up from school and what have you. Not only that, but he is fiercely protective of him. There is not a soul in the world that should dare mess with that father. Just because he did not possess supernatural strength does not mean he won’t try to punch you out. He honestly does not think he’ll be able to fall in love with another woman, but he’ll always be there for his son. In a way, he’s now sort of dedicated himself to Isaac. Otherwise, he wouldn’t really have a reason for being there after Sophia’s death. -- ATHLETIC: After running away from his football career to look after his son, Siah became a person trainer-- there was nothing else he could think of. Sure, he had studied exercise science, but in the end personal training just fit for him. He has an obsession with pushing his body to the limit, and pushing past the mental barriers that his mind might decide to put up. He uses exercise as a way to distract himself, not to mention it gives him something other than the thoughts of his wife to focus on.
-- LOVES: football, sports, his five year old son, his late wife, running, camping, hiking, nachos, cooking, easter, playing catch with isaac -- HATES: dating, attention whores, idiots, people who waste his time, anyone who tries to hurt his son, “girly” sports, wine, waking up early on sunday, snow, pickles
-- HISTORY !
As far as unfortunate childhood memories go, the worst thing that Josiah ever really had to go through was the deaths of his grandparents. He was never hurt badly other than a broken arm from falling off his bike, he was not molested or kidnapped, he was not treated badly by his family, nor was he bullied much at school. His life was just mediocre, not bad but not amazing. Siah was pretty much content with that. He played soccer in high school and was fairly good, but he knew he wasn’t good enough to be in the big leagues or anything. Instead, he moved on to his love for football, just like his younger brother. Another sport he excelled in was volleyball, as well as basketball. Pretty much any sport that didn’t involve ice. He could never coordinate himself well enough to learn to play hockey. He could skate, but no where near professional. Most of the time he fell flat on his ass anyways.
During college everything seemed to just go wrong for him. Not at first, however. No, at first things seemed like they were going well. He was studying exercise science and he was doing fairly well in his courses. He was even considering switching into physiotherapy so that he could fix injuries of injured athletes. There was just one thing he hadn’t accounted for: the fact that he was going to fall in love with a young lady named Sophia Natasha Davis. When Josiah was in his third year, she entered the school for her first year. She was going to be a journalism major so their courses never really matched; they were never in the same place at the same time. But he wanted to see her, so he made it that way. Not stalking, dear Lord, but some of his friends’ girlfriends knew Sophia’s friends and there was really one huge chain of friends to get her to go out with him. She was stunningly gorgeous and it was a good thing he still had the ability to focus on his classes. Eventually the brunette goddess fell in love with him too. Everything still going good, right? Well, not for much longer.
Unfortunately, Sophia found herself pregnant two years later when she was just turning 22. Josiah had just graduated a few months before learning this and had began what would be his short lived professional football career. They were scared but they weren’t upset. They had talked about marriage and children, but they were really just waiting until they were both a little bit older. Sophia’s father, Logan Davis, soon found out from Sophia’s sister, Angelina, and demanded that they marry. They had no problem with that, despite that it was sooner than they wanted. Josiah went out and got her an engagement ring and she planned the wedding of her dreams. For years the two young adults bounced raising their son and dealing with Josiah’s football career. They were stressed out, but happy nonetheless. Until one might when his world came crashing down on him and found out Sophia had died. She had gone to the bank one morning, only to end up a bystander in a bank robbery. The robbers weren’t aiming for her, but a stray bullet hit her. She died instantly, but knowing that she didn’t die in pain didn’t sooth the hurt that her husband and her son, Isaac, went through.
For awhile, Josiah’s sister-in-law, Angelina had to move in with Josiah and Isaac because Josiah was almost incapable of taking care of his four year old son. He was heartbroken. He didn’t go to work, he barely ate, he slept most of the time, all the while his son watched his daddy fade away to nothing. There was no defining moment that made Josiah get back to normal and if anything he can’t even be put in the same room as the normal people. He is too far from it to be anywhere near the same again. The months slowly ticked by and he just realized that he had to be there for his son, their son. Unfortunately, he still breaks down in private. Normally he is a person that retains his emotions, but sometimes even the most stone faced of a person needs to break down. Though it has been less than a year, he still can’t move on with his life. A year isn’t that long anyways, in his opinion.
