-- NAME: audrey anne franco
-- NICKNAMES: auds, frankie
-- AGE & BIRTHDAY: twenty-four, may ninth
-- BIRTH PLACE: capeside
-- ORIENTATION: heterosexual
-- OCCUPATION: flower shop employee by day, bartender by night
-- PLAYED BY: emilie de ravin
-- PERSONALITY !
-- AMICABLE: Audrey may be a little feisty, but she's certainly friendly. She's happiest when she's around people and she has no issues being nice to someone, even if they aren't the nicest back. That's not to say she's sunny all of the time, because everyone has their bad days, and even their bitchy days- but for the most part, she's good at keeping nice. Some people might view her as 'fake', because this will even apply to people she hates, but she doesn't see it that way. She prefers to view it as being mature enough to not start pointless drama. She tries to be at least civil as much as possible. When she's meeting someone new, she's always friendly and tries to include them. A lot of this trait stems from the fact that she always wants to be liked. If she's disliked by someone, and she hasn't done anything wrong, it bugs the hell out of her.
-- FLIRTATIOUS: Hand-in-hand with being amicable, it's no secret that she's overly-friendly with the guys. She's mostly just a tease, though- she rarely has intentions on following through. She's had intercourse with a couple of ex-boyfriends, but she doesn't like to "give it up" easily, to put it frankly. The most she'll do hook-up wise is make out a little before calling it quits. Still, she's pretty damn good at pretending she'll go even further.
-- HUMOROUS: While this doesn't mean that everyone finds her funny, she's definitely the first person to make a joke of the situation. She finds herself funny and that's what's important to her. Her humor can range anywhere from tasteless, vulgar jokes, to "that's what she said", to ridiculously corny puns. That being said, she doesn't necessarily have a mental filter. Yes, she's always sure to be friendly, but for the most part, whatever runs through her head is sure to come out of her mouth, particularly if she finds it funny.
-- RESTLESS: Audrey is not happy in Capeside. She's been here all of her life and she wants to leave. She wants to travel, to see the world, and to do something with her life. However, this also applies on more of a small-scale as well. She's easily bored and she always needs something to entertain her. This is a large reason why she is a:
-- TROUBLEMAKER: She doesn't necessarily get into tangos with the law (as far as drugs and alcohol goes- she doesn't want to go down the same road as her brother), but she for sure likes to stir things up. Audrey's always the first to suggest a rowdy game, or some flashlight tag in a cemetery at night, or anything else like that. Anything to spice up a situation.
-- LIVELY: Audrey likes to be the center of attention. There's no doubt about that. It's because of this reason that she's loud and always the first to try and liven up a situation. She's often called the "life of the party" because she's not even close to being shy. She's pretty much an attention whore.
-- DETERMINED: When she wants something, she goes after it. There's not much to say here- she knows what she wants and she'll stop at nothing to get it. She believes that not even the sky is the limit and she isn't afraid of anything. But sometimes, this gets her into trouble because she doesn't know when to stop.
-- INDEPENDENT: Ever since her parent's divorce, Audrey's learned how to get along on her own. Because she's so determined, she knows exactly how to get what she needs in order to comfortably survive. She was never good in school (hence why she didn't attend college) but she's street smart and she knows how to get around. She seeks the approval of others but she doesn't necessarily need it. She can handle herself and she can get along on her own.
-- SOPHISTICATED: The definition of this trait is knowledgeable, cultured, and self-confident. As stated above, Audrey is street-smart, but not all that book-smart. However, along with this kind of education, she's cultured in the ways of the world. She has class. She may be lively and she may enjoy the party scene but she does it with style. She makes it her goal not to be trashy. She is very self-confident, almost to the point of it being a fault. She's always known who she is and she's very assured. She likes who she is. A lot. And while she knows she isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread, she's not afraid to flaunt what she has.
-- LOVES: flowers, snow, pet names, causing trouble, american idol, shakespeare, the idea of seeing the world, sun, crowds, people, dancing, being the center of attention, food, playgrounds, flirting, faking accents.
-- HATES: bad attitudes, handsy guys, rude customers, bar fights, liars, being alone, being bored, sitting at home, being stuck in capeside, people with no class, breakfast cereals.
-- HISTORY !
Audrey was born and raised in Capeside, with quite a large family- her parents, an older brother, an older sister, and a set of younger twins (one boy and one girl). Together, her parents owned a small little flower store that hardly provided sufficient funds for the amount of kids they had. In an attempt to remedy that, her father, Alan, took up a second job as a landscaper to bring in excess funds. While they never had an excess of anything, the Franco family found themselves comfortable. They were a happy family throughout the duration of everyone's childhood. But things weren't perfect. Audrey's eldest brother didn't respond well to the college environment and succumbed to peer pressure, because he no longer had the constant family support he once had. One night, while out with friends, the group had a few drinks and although he was supposed to be the "designated driver", he participated in the festivities as well. They crashed into another car, instantly killing the other driver and one of his own friends. He was given a long prison sentence, and still remains there today. That seemed to be the starting domino. The family's once close ties were unraveling. Their mother was devastated, their father angry. Merely a year after the incident, when Audrey was sixteen, her parents got a divorce. Her parents were both awarded shared custody of their children, but at that point, nothing was the same. No one was all that close, with the exception of the twins and Audrey and her sister. Her nineteen year old sister took over the family flower shop, and still runs that today. Audrey, who never liked to dwell on anything, moved on with her life and went about her business as usual. She was never the best in school, so she trudged through and skipped over college immediately.
Audrey still helps her sister run the flower shop, and up until recently, the two siblings lived together as well. But the elder recently got engaged and Audrey decided it was time to move out. She took up a second job as a bartender and lives in a small apartment, bored with her life and dreaming of getting the opportunity to travel the world. Capeside holds very little for her now.
