this is louis dawes. twenty-four, bisexual and fabulously wealthy. he's the head of the dawes corporation and the stealer of many young hearts. ...okay, maybe not the latter. lous is a flirt, sure enough, but he's no dashing rogue, or mysterious loner. he's goofy kid of sorts who loves a well-mixed drink and a pretty face. most people worry about breaking his heart rather than the other way around. despite his wealth, the passing of his father six years ago and the huge burden of running a huge company, louis is a carefree, all-around happy guy. he views his job more as a nuisance than anything else, even though at one point he harbored a passion for the company.
he's going to need plenty of friends. keep in mind he's pretty dense, so not all of them have to have crystal clear intentions. he's a filthy rich kid at heart, even if he's above average intelligence, he's still only human. as for enemies, if you're up for a challenge, i welcome you to it. louis practically lives to be nice and happy. like, he just doesn't get mad. stressed, frustrated, tired, yes. mad? vengeful? hateful? not so much. and last but not least, romancers. this area is currently a little muddled because lou may have a thing for franklin jones. this is yet to be finalized, though, so in the mean while, he's open to bed-warmers and snuggle buddies.
meet meredith pilsbury. nineteen, heterosexual and more empowered than your average rich girl. she's currently studying at capeside college and likes to protest female and animal rights in her spare time. so, you might've guessed it, merie's a little bit of a hippy. she doesn't waltz around in flared jeans and she doesn't wear floral anything, but she's a vegetarian and an animal lover. she won't scream at you if you eat bacon, but don't expect her to try a any. but of course, this is all making her sound like a tightwad, and merie is truly not. being raised in a claustrophobic rich family made her actively find ways to rebel. being a vegetarian is one of those things she found. really, she's just a fun loving girl who loves to sneak out of the house, grab a beer and lay on the beach, watching the stars. she's smart, so even if it comes up, she does talk about more than morality and rights.
merie has a tendency to ignore any form of authority, so for friends, it's unlikely that she's close to anyone on the popular circuit unless they ever participated in debutante balls like her, and hated them like she did. she's definitely a fan of the underdog, though, so if you've got an outcast or a an awkward high school in need of a mentor or friend, she's a good choice to make. enemies is likely something merie will have a couple of. with her tenacity and rebellious streak, she tends to step on some people's toes unintentionally. though she's not the type to look for rivalry or hatred, it wouldn't be a surprise if someone disliked her, be it for her demanding protesting or just because she can come off as blunt on occasion. as for romance, this lady is all set with a mister xavier evans. sorry, fellas!
this is joel decker. he's seventeen, silent by nature and loves some good whitman. he's a capeside native and is hopeless in a conversation, but beneath it all, he's as sweet and caring as they come. to say joel is shy would be an understatement. a dog is honestly better conversation than he is. this is probably due to the poor, dilapidated state of his ego. after being abandoned by his parents on his grandparent's doorsteps, he seems to believe that he is worth about nothing. thus, he does basically everything he can to keep the spotlight away from him, and instead on people who deserve it. and though you may not guess it, this young, tongue-twisted man is magic with a keyboard or a pen. he can write sonnets, poems and stories that have even professionals swallowing back tears. he's got some acclaim on the internet and goes by the username kidthinker. he's never revealed his real identity on the internet.
joel has no friends. pretty simply put, he doesn't talk to people and people don't even notice him enough to speak to him. he can have friends online, but none of them would know it was joel-- they'd just know kidthinker. if your character is an adult (like, 30+), that may be different. joel feels more comfortable around adults, especially teachers, so that's a thought. as for enemies, he'd have none, because no one knows who he is ('cept micah might hate him after he takes blair away mwahaha). and last but not least, lovers. ...joel is taken. as for prior girlfriends or love affairs? he has none. so... ...really, you want any kind of relationship with this guy, your character will have to do most the leg work. joel simply doesn't believe he's worth the friendship of others. poor fella. he needs lov'un.
meet beau hogan. he does not want to meet you. he's nineteen, on the run and paranoid as all get, so you'll have to excuse him if he's not very chatty. beau isn't a bad guy, though it's the general consensus that he's a murder (nbd). he's in capeside, hiding from the police. they have reason and evidence pointing to him as the killer of his mother, and are holding him responsible for the disappearance of his mother back in jasper tennessee. thing is, beau is innocent. his current situation makes him elusive and flighty. for the past few months, he's been safe in capeside, but beau doesn't believe anything is truly safe. beneath the paranoid, outlawish attitude he's got going for him right now, beau is pretty far from what you'd expect. he's quiet, shy-- some might even say submissive in a social sphere. though average in the intelligence department, he loves working with his hands and dreams of leaving this mess behind to become an architect.
though not many, beau is bound to make a few acquaintances here in capeside. these people would have to be trutworthy, intelligent and most importantly, good. beau is extremely paranoid, so if he thinks any one can't be trusted, he's not taking that risk. he's going to need some help proving his innocence, however, so he needs a friend or two. enemies are going to be a little easier to find. any one who knows what he's 'done' is either with him or against him. no in between. police, detectives, any political person in capeside will be bearing down on beau to get out of town before something happens. however, if there's a detective who is willing to wait and hear him out, he may yet find a friend behind enemy lines. as for romance, beau is presently unaffiliated with anyone. he's not very social and right now, romance is the last thing on his mind. WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY YOU SHOULD HELP ME FIND HIM A LADY. when he finds someone he likes, he's loathe to let them go, even if the process is long and grueling. plus, after he's a free man, he can be surprisingly romantic with out meaning to. after all, not every guy would offer to build you a house on the sea, hm? i'm open to any and all ideas!
so, this here is brodie hirsch. twenty-five, out of a job and over all an extreme pessimist. he was born in california and tends to be a bit on the loner side. with justifiable reasons (though not any he's likely to share with you), brodie likes doing things alone. people are nothing more than annoyances and cheap talk in his world. there are those that exist that are worth his precious time, but those few are the only ones to receive it (he doesn't adhere to any form of social etiquette or courtesy-- if you piss him off, it doesn't matter if you're wearing rags or a crown). he's not all bad, though. sure, he's reclusive, an alcoholic and a grouch at the best of times, but since youth he's had a horrible weakness for animals. due to a little bit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time and just being stupid, brodie was kicked out of school and was never able to finish his dream of becoming a veterinarian. this made him understandably unhappy, so nowadays, he enjoys drinking, taking in stray animals and loafing around on his father's dime.
he's not a friendly guy, so i don't expect a lot of friends. his main audience would probably be men around his age who were mature (despite some of his dumb choices in life, he's still an intelligent guy). enemies, he's sure to have a few. he's blunt, rude and generally unlikable, so this can expand to all age groups, seeing as he really doesn't pull his (verbal) punches. like i said earlier, if he doesn't like you, he isn't going to sugar coat it, doesn't matter how cute or rich you are. this attitude can irritate a few people, understandably. as for romance, he is pretty set. though he dislikes her and is struggling with the concept currently, he will end up with elsie jane porter and eventually come out of his semi-depressed, hateful world. until then, he's open to flirtations and unrequited crushes. he's a pretty thing to look at, amiright?

FELICITY & LOUIS -- just because i love him so much i wanted to plot. so flick and frankie are friends, and i can imagine lou and flick meeting each other because of this eventually. flick kind of has one of those school girl crushes on frankie, which she is quite open about anway, and i can see her having one on louis too. of course, if she knew that the two were both gay/bi she would spent her time trying to set them up (because she is a plotter) and that'd be fun. she likes money, so she'd like louis very much. i think at the end she would just see louis as an older brother, as she does franklin. so yes. that is my plotting.
FELICITY & JOEL -- she no likey. he's weird. in her opinion at least. we all know that flick is a meany poo and so she will be mean to him, because she is mean to everyone. she won't like him. oh, and if she ever finds out that he and blair have an online thing, she will try to crush him, until she realises that he makes her bff happy. then she will chillax. until then, be prepared for her to be cruel and evil to him.
BRANDON & BEAU -- sexy name. anyways. brandon is a detective. he actually deals in domestic violence. so basically, if these two ever met i can imagine beau would be very cautious of brandon. he's a sweet guy most of the time and so he'd wonder what the kid is hiding, but he would not pry because he wouldn't even think that he was acting shifty because of murder and the law and stuff. so it'd be kind of awkward silence and brandon trying to get the kid to talk. maybe if anything happens with the law brandon kind of sticks up for him? like, he can kind of tell that beau is trustworthy and he is one of the few people that doesn't believe beau is a murderer. he has very strong older brother instincts in him.
XAVIER & BEAU -- can they be friends? you know how trustworthy and kind and adorable xave is. i'm sure he could weasel his way into beau's heart. maybe he turns out to be one of the few guys that beau actually trusts? i dunno, it's up to you really. i just want xavier to find some more friends besides merie.

gahhh late
flick & louis PRESHNESS. yes. he's as dense as a rock, so all he'd really see when he saw flick was a tiny, adorable little bundle. since he's head over heels for frankie, he'd probably never really notice that she had a crush on anyone, but would automatically place himself as the proprietorial brother figure.
flick & joel FEAR. this would be joel's immediate reaction. he's such a follower. basically, he'd go out of his way to stay out of her's. when she accepts him, however and if ever she does, i could see him becoming a sort of like a brother/friend thing... mix... fusion... mabob...
brandon & beau that'd be baller. beau already has a sort of plot going with jacob griffiths, but having more law enforcement behind him would be awesome. he needs some allies.
xave and beau it'll be interesting to try and fit the two together, but i don't see why not. beau is jaded while xave is naive. they are sort of exact opposites, but that might just help them out in the end. maybe beau helps bolster xave's confidence and xavier helps beau learn to trust a little more?

joel and wesley,So, I think they definitely need to be buds. In the sense that Wesley would hand him a beer, pat him on the back and be all "Loosen up, kid, take life by the horns." And try to pull him out of his little awkward shell. Which is funny considering how awkward Wesley is with women. But that's beside the point... he can pretend he's awesome and try and help the kid out.
That's so not a plot. xD But it's all I've got.
brodie and wesley,Wesley knows just about every detail of this man's life. Not willingly, mind you. But he does. Elsie and him are friends in the sense that he was harassed in a grocery store and now he's kind of big brotherish. So I think he'd actually like Brodie. But he'd also--when he gets to know Elsie more--be all, "Hey. She likes you. Don't break her heart."
Because, honestly, with someone as cute as Elsie... who wouldn't want to protect her? ; D So. They'll probably somewhat know each other eventually... xD Wesley may know him more than he knows Wesley, though... he's got sources.

HO GOSH YOU CAN HATE ME FOR BEING SO LATE plotting is like... not my strong suit. i forget about this thing. argh. i'm horrible. /excusesexcusesexcuses
joel & wesley this would be delightful, if a little confusing. i'm not sure how they'd meet, but wesley seems like a pretty lax guy. joel naturally looks up to anybody older than him, so he'd probably follow wes's advice blindly. which would cause hilarity. "hey joel, why don't you go slam your head in to a wall?" "okay!"
brodie & wesley HOMG YES. he needs bros. since he's a bit short on friends, as either he spends all his time with his dog or is being pestered by elsie. he'd be all like, "dude, i can't like her, she's like... young" but eventually would confess to his jumbled emotions over els. MAYBE FUTURE BFFS?

joel and wesley,Oh man. xD I'm just imagining him getting Joel into so much trouble without necessarily meaning too... just by being himself. It's so great. But yeah, I'm not sure how they'd meet either... I will get back to you on that one.
brodie and wesley,I think it'd be funny if they ran into each other somewhere and introduced themselves and Wesley's all "Wait. No... no way, you're Brodie? Like.. The Brodie?" And that may confuse the poor man. xD
He'd also help to be all "Yeah, so?" down the line once he knew Elsie more and Brodie more and all those 'she's too young' things popped up, since he doesn't see that as a valid excuse. xD But yes. BFFSFOSURE.
also, fyi, just reading through the Brodie and Elsie thread and seeing that he basically lives on whiskey and coffee. And in the Wesley and Elsie thread, she meets him while he's buying whiskey and coffee. Coincidence? I think not.
