-- Scarlett Carson O'Dare !
-- NAME: Scarlett Carson O'Dare -- NICKNAMES: Scar -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: 21, December 7th -- BIRTH PLACE: Capeside -- ORIENTATION: Straight -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: Photographer -- PLAYED BY: Rosie Tupper
-- PERSONALITY !
-- HONEST: Scarlett is very honest. She never lies, even if the truth she's telling them might be offensive. It comes across as blunt, even, but she doesn't care. She's not afraid to say what she thinks of things. She'll tell her friend that her prom dress is ugly or doesn't fit her well, and she'll tell her mom that her hair looks awful and she has on too much makeup. She doesn't mean to sound rude or blunt, but it's only the truth. She considers honesty refreshing, and she believes people need more of it. She hopes that her bravery and honesty will rub off on others. Even though she is honest, though, she can keep secrets. She sees honesty as not lying, of course, but that doesn't mean she just says everything she's thinking at every moment. She also respects privacy and she knows when a question or answer is appropriate or not to ask or say. She may as interesting questions, but that's only because she's curious. She definitely doesn't expect everyone to be as honest as she is, and hardly ever makes people actually answer the odd questions she asks, unless of course, they want to. -- CALM/LAID BACK: Scarlett never ever freaks out. Not even when her friends do. She's also grounded and under control and focused. She's been in car wrecks, found out she's been betrayed, and much more and she never once panicked. She doesn't worry about what's going to happen on the future. She's very focused on the here and now, and will do anything to help her friends stay calm like her. She is very rarely surprised, and it takes a whole lot to actually scare or even startle her. She tends to stay sort of the same emotion all the time: happy. It's very rare if she's bored or sad or anything else besides calmly content. Even though she rarely shows other emotions, she is very sensitive toward other people's feelings. She can easily tell when they're worried or scared, and - still remaining calm - helps them. Staying calm yourself keeps the person you're trying to help calm as well. Scar is definitely a go with the flow kind of girl. She waits for things to happen and then takes advantage of it, she doesn't try to make things happen for herself. -- LOYAL: Even if a friend betrays her, she will always be loyal to them. She might not trust them anymore, but she won't leave them in the dust if they need her. And if they apologize, she will trust them again. She cares more about her friends safety than she does herself, and will do anything to help them when they need it. Even if they don't know they need help, she can tell and she'll help them even if they don't want it. She stubborn that way. Her loyalty to her friends and family makes her perfect girlfriend material. Even if the other person bullies her or is mean to her friends or something, she never sees the bad in them and always forgives them, even if she probably shouldn't. It's very hard for her to see bad in people, and tends to trust everyone. That makes her rather gullible, but it also makes sure she never looses a friend.

-- HISTORY !
Scarlett was born and raised in Capeside with two loving parents. Her father and mother were both lovers of art. Her mother was a ballet dancer and her father was a choreographer. No surprise how they met, then. Her parents made sure not to let their jobs go to their head, though, and they raised her to be who she was, and not who others thought she should be. Her parents had a very light sense of humor that they also passed on to her Scarlett. They showed her all different types of art, everything from sketching to dancing to writing, but the only thing that really ever kept her interest enough for her to do it on her own was photography. Ever since she was little she loved taking pictures, although the camera she had when she was little wasn’t very good. When she turned ten, though, her father bought her the nicest, most reliable camera there was, and she’s used it loyally ever since. She even named it Charlie.
She was always a big animal lover. The only animals she doesn’t like are wasps because one stung her when she hadn’t done anything to threaten it when she was younger. Also, she’s not a fan of snakes because of their venomous spit and defensiveness. When she was about fifteen, her mother got her a pet owl for her birthday, which she carries around with her wherever she goes (except to school, of course) It’s a very small, Say-whet owl from New Jersey and is small enough to fit on her shoulder. She named him Crackers because that’s all he would eat when she first got him.
The closest thing she ever had to love was her boyfriend about two years ago in her senior year. He dated her for almost a year and then randomly dumped her for another girl who he’d known only a week. She wasn’t really heartbroken, though it was the most hurt she’d ever felt in her life. She hadn’t been in love with him, though she was sorry to admit that wanted him back after he left her. But when she saw the way he looked at the new girl, she couldn’t help but not fight for him. She told him she wanted him back, but that she wasn’t going to fight for him, and she hasn’t seen him since she graduated. Since then she’s gotten her own apartment for her and Crackers and Charlie, but it’s still close enough to go back home if she needed to. She earns her own money through her photography to keep up the place, but it’s not too far from her childhood home, where her parents still live happily married. Her parents are loaded from family money and their dancing related jobs, so she wouldn’t have to worry about money anyway. She just likes feeling independent.
-- SAMPLE !
Tap tap tap. Cadence's foot was wiggling back and forth unbearably. She was for some reason full of energy today and needed something to do. She'd been writing in her little journal, although that wasn't enough to keep her foot from staying still. That was always a signal to let her know that it was time to get up and go do something worthwhile to keep her body from going crazy from excess energy and tension. So, why not take a walk? Maybe she could find someone interesting to talk to or something to do for at least a few minutes. So, she got up, slipping her journal quickly under the bed and then went out toward the main hall to see what everyone was up to out there. Nothing, apparently, because the place was almost deserted.
Then a thought struck her. There was quidditch practice today right around this time. She decided to go watch that. That was exciting, wasn't it? The real question was, was it entertaining and exciting enough to keep her still for a few minutes? She wasn't usually this full of energy, but she'd had chocolate for lunch out of laziness to find something decent to eat. That must've been the cause for her energetic self today. She took a sort of short cut through the lawns to get to the quidditch practice, but then stopped short when she spotted something. Or someone, more like, she corrected once she got close enough to see.
She might be shy and silent and almost invisible to everyone else, but she knew a lot about the students here, and recognized this one. Sirius Black. He was one of the more attractive guys at Hogwarts, and that was really the only reason she knew about him. That, and he was kind of full of himself. It was clear that he knew how attractive he really was, and wasn't afraid to show off his body to the girls. Cadence, no matter how unbearably attractive he was, was more mature than even some of the staff here, and knew how to hide her attraction. Right now she wasn't focused on the fact that he was shirtless, though. She was wondering why he was just lying there. So, what better way to find out then to ask the guy.
Although this is when her shy side kicks in. She was horrible at starting conversations, and definitely not with insanely hot guys who knew how hot they were and probably had sex every other day (if not more often than that). She swallowed silently, building up all her courage, and then approached him. Maybe talking to a hot guy would help her get rid of her chocolate energy. Once she reached him, she stood over him a moment, a sort of curious look on her face. She raised one eyebrow at him, her head tilted to the side as she spoke in her regularly soft tone, "What are you doing?"

Hey so before I read this, just wanted to let you know that you need a little more in your personality section under HONEST and CALM. Try to flesh it out as much as possible considering this is the most important part of your character application.

-- ACCEPTED !
There are just a few things you might want to look out for with your writing while playing on our site: - Attempt to change up sentence structure now and then, it's less redundant to read. - Do your best to stay away from informal phrasing that ruins the time flow of your writing. For example: "And this is when her shy side kicks in..." doesn't fit in a third-person-past writing style. - Add description! Not just action. We want to know whats going on, every juicy bit.
