-- LUCY HEATHER CAHILL !
-- NAME: Lucy Heather Cahill -- NICKNAMES: Lu, Lulu -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: 19, October 3rd -- BIRTH PLACE: Houston, Texas -- ORIENTATION: Straight -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: freshman in college -- PLAYED BY: Becky Lou Filip
-- PERSONALITY !
-- SHY: Lucy grew up in a family that always seemed to be fighting. Her brothers fought with each other, and her parents fought constantly. Because of usually being ignored, Lucy has be come a shy and meek girl who isn't very good at voicing her opinions. She keeps quiet about everything, especially when she knows it's something that might land someone else in trouble. Lucy usually doesn't warm up to people until she knows them well, which makes her even more shy since no one wants to talk to the shy girl. -- GRACEFUL: Lucy wanted to dance all her life. Since she was shy, of course she needed an outlet for everything. Despite her dad usually wasting money, her mother was able to send Lucy to dance classes from the age of three and on. Lucy's favorite is ballet, and she does it beautifully. When ever Lucy was stressed out by her family's situation, she would go to the dance studio and practice. She can glide and move like no other. This gives her a natural grace. She walks like she ice skating, and she always keeps her head up. Looking at her, you can tell that she is poised and graceful. -- PESSIMISTIC: Lucy has spent her life unsure about a great deal of things. She doesn't know whether or not to love her dad, since he's her family and all. She doesn't know if she could ever fall in love after seeing the awful relationship that her parents had. She doesn't think she can trust people really. She barely trusts her brothers. Lucy's outlook on life is fairly grim and she doesn't know what to do or who to turn to. -- LOVES: dancing, music, silence, smiling, practicing, sleeping, going to the park, reading, writing poems, rain -- HATES: alcohol, drugs, loud-mouthed people, anger, seeing others hurt, being so quiet, loud sounds, crying, scary movies, doing nothing
-- HISTORY !
Lucy was born the youngest of three children. Normally, the youngest is the one who get's the most attention, but things weren't that way in Lucy's family. Lucy had two older brothers, Brandon and Harry. Brandon was the classic over protective brother and Harry was stuck in the middle wanting to be the boss. And Lucy was just the quiet one. She didn't try to label herself or do anything that might draw too much attention to herself, so she stayed low. When her brothers fought, she would stay out of it and maybe watch from the side lines.
Lucy's parents barely got along. Her mother, Casey, was a super sweet person and was always trying to get Lucy to be a little more out going, which was why she let Lucy dance. Casey was timid, but not because she was shy. No, Casey was timid because of Lucy's father, Andrew. Lucy was just a baby when her father started beating her mother, and she quickly because used to it. Not to the point where it didn't hurt to know that it was going on, but to the point that it didn't shock her any more. Lucy tried as much as possible to stay away from her father, especially when he was drunk. Although he never tried to hit the boys, he didn't mind laying it on her mother. Lucy used to have nightmares where her dad would come home and kill everyone except her and she would wake up screaming.
Although Brandon made a point to protect her because she was small and shy, she never told him about the one time that their dad hit her. She was nine years old, and she was up late trying to figure out how to do the splits. Of course, she got tired and fell asleep on the floor. When Andrew got home, drunk as usual, he tripped over her and began to cuss her out. Lucy woke up, but didn't react at all. This angered Andrew too no end. He kept yelling at her, and grabbed her shoulder, but Lucy still didn't react. She was too numb to watching what her mother had been through. But when her father struck her across the face, Lucy began to sob, and she ran to her room crying. Lucy hasn't forgotten that night, but hasn't told either of her brothers about it, since they were both at friends' houses when it happened. Casey pretended she didn't notice the bruise on Lucy's cheek. One that looked like the ones Casey got.
Later that year, though, Brandon got into a fight with Andrew, and he left for good. Lucy was able to relax a bit and enjoy school. She spent almost all of her time dancing after school, and didn't really have time to make friends. When her brothers left home, she decided to fallow in their footsteps and go to college in Capeside. She got a dance scholarship to a university in Capeside and began attending it eagerly. Lucy is minoring in nursing though, and hopes to be a nurse if she can't make it as a professional dancer.
-- SAMPLE !
Laila sat alone in the library, occasionally looking around to see if anyone had entered, breaking the silence, but most of the time, she sat curled up in loveseat with an art book. She had her sketch pad balanced on her lap and her water bottle at her feet. Every now and again, she would sketch out sometime like an eye or a lock of hair, something she had read in the book that seemed helpful to her. She did take a drink when she felt a little faint, but that was all. She had learned long ago that she should drink a lot when she wasn't planning on eating. And even though they were forcing her to eat AND keep it down, she wasn't planning on making it so easy for anyone who tried to make her quit.
It was nice to be in a quiet area that she could count on being quiet. Although most people here were pretty shy themselves, she had found that there were some people who were loud and boisterous and liked to shout just for the fun of it. That was something she couldn't handle. Not when she was alone in this place. She hadn't made any friends, well not really anyways, but that hadn't been much of a shocker. She missed her parents slightly, since being alone was a painful thing, even though she was used to it. She missed her didn't miss her brother, though. On the contrary, she was glad to finally be away from him. You could only take so much perfection from one person before you felt like you might vomit on them.
Speaking of vomiting, Laila's stomach was beginning to growl. She thought about going down to the cafeteria, but she decided against it. According to the rules, she wasn't allowed to leave for two hours after eating to force her to digest the food. She imagined she could always throw up right there, on any one who was watching to her make sure she didn't try to race to the bathroom. She smirked at that thought. Even though she had never considered herself as much of a rebel, Laila did enjoy this kind of rebellion. She found herself sighing to herself. Wishing for once that she had someone else with her. Not that she wanted to talk to anyone, but mostly to have the presence of another person around so things wouldn't feel like she was alone in limbo.
"Stupid rules" Laila murmured as her stomach make a low rumbling again. She hated the thought of people knowing that her body was hungry, but it could just deal. She wasn't going to eat right now, and she was going to until she absolutely had to. And then her plan would go into action. Laila turned another page of her book and began to sketch out a small pair of lips that curled up into a smile.
