-- ABIGAIL LOUISE KENT !
-- NAME: Abigail Louise Kent -- NICKNAMES: Abby, Abby Lou -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: Twenty-two, January 15th -- BIRTH PLACE: Capeside -- ORIENTATION: Heterosexual -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: student teacher -- PLAYED BY: Jennifer Lawrence
-- PERSONALITY !
-- QUIET: Abigail is the polar opposite of her sister, in more ways that one. First of all, she is extremely quiet. It takes a lot of courage for her to make friends or to join conversations. She's very shy and doesn't always speak her mind. You could definitely say that Abby is a pushover, she will do almost anything when asked. She's especially a pushover when it comes to her family and close friends- she would do anything for them. Perhaps sometimes other take advantage of her shyness and inability to say no, but even if Abby knew that she would still help anyone out. Her shyness can be a curse when it comes to telling others the truth, or simply telling others how she truly feels about them. -- GOOD NATURED: Abby is the biggest sweetheart this side of the USA, and as sweet as badly made lemonade. She won't ever turn anyone down for help, even if they're a shady person. Abby tries to see the best in people, especially those that others stray away from. With her thousand watt smile and precious blue eyes, it's almost hard not to smile when you're around her. It's not exactly charisma, but merely the ability to brighten someone's day with a flash of those pearly whites. Abby especially has a soft spot for kids, and that's why she aspired to become a teacher. Kids gravitate to her sweet nature and willingness to overlook flaws. She especially shows her tolerance for people when it comes to her sister. Others may call Aly rude or selfish, but Abby loves her sister dearly and even defends her at times. -- AMBITIOUS: Even before Abby was born, her family was successful. Her father worked his way up as an architect and she admired his work ethic. Instead of constantly asking her parents for money she would find ways to make it herself. She didn't want to ride her parent's coattails to make it in the world. Abby excelled in school and constantly proved to others around her how bright she was. It meant so much to her to hear that she was so smart and ambitious, when she didn't get much praise compared to her sister. She might not admit it, but most of the reason for her independence is her want to be recognized. Compared to her sister, Abby had always been in the background and she always felt that she was held back by it. Poor Abby just wants to show the world that she too is a star.
-- LOVES: the ocean, volunteering, lifetime specials, coldplay, belgian chocolates, kids, love songs, photography, finger painting, dogs, making people smile, her family, praise, root beer -- HATES: being overlooked, people who are rude for no reason, guinea pigs, the gym, being alone, pink lipstick, gossip magazines, horror movies, the discovery channel, funfetti cakes, birthday parties, funerals
-- HISTORY !
When Abigail was born, her family had established themselves as a well-off family. She and her sister Aly were raised on a beachfront property that is still Abby's favorite spot to this day. She could spend copious amounts of time just looking out the window and watching the waves crash on the shore. Growing up, she was constantly jealous of her sister's relationship with their father. Abby wished that she could be as close to him as Aly was, but such was not the case. You could say that Abby was on the outskirts, she had a neutral relationship with everyone in her family. Even into her teenage years, Abby was constantly overshadowed by her sparking sister.
As people got to know Abby they were surprised at how different the sisters were from each other. Abby worked hard in school, didn't have many friends, and was recognized as "the other Kent". She couldn't stand being the second best to her sister. Abby was jealous of Aly in every way possible- to how well her clothes fit to her relationship with Finn Heaton. Ah, Finn. The first time Abby saw him, she knew she was in love. From his feet to his hairline, Abby loved everything about him. She would hear her sister gush about him and feel the jealousy pumping through her veins. But, it didn't matter how much Abby loved him, she also loved her sister and didn't want to ruin them.
Meanwhile, tragedy struck for the girls and Abby and Aly became closer than they had ever anticipated. They were both saddened by their father's actions, Aly especially. It hurt Abby at how their family was falling apart. Sophomore year was hard enough without having her family almost torn apart and pining over her perfect sister's perfect boyfriend. When Aly and Finn graduated, Abby was somewhat able to come into the limelight. Without her sister, people noticed how genuine and bright she was. Abby almost stayed in Capeside for college, but decided to go away. However, she couldn't stay away for long and decided to be a student teacher back in Capeside. Now she has to deal with her sister's wedding to her dream guy and history shows that anything can happen with the Kents.
