-- SAMUEL AIKEN POSTEUR !
-- NAME: Samuel Aiken Posteur -- NICKNAMES: Sam, Sammy, Sap, Poster-Boy, Poser, and Home, plus virtually anything you come up with he’ll use. -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: Eighteen, September 21st. -- BIRTH PLACE: Boston, Massachusetts. -- ORIENTATION: Openly bisexual. He tends to be more homosexual, but he definitely finds women attractive as well. -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: Senior in High School. -- PLAYED BY: Marcus Hedbrandh
-- PERSONALITY !
-- CHARISMATIC: Sam has a high level of intelligence, tact, and respect, combined with loyalty, making him a very charming young man. He has a smile he’ll flash you that almost glows in its whiteness, which stuns some people, but in general, it isn’t his looks that make him irresistible. It’s his demeanor. It’s confident, daring, honest, and just, magnetic. He likes people, especially making them happy, and people tend to like his people-pleasing personality. -- DARING: Sam isn’t stupid by any means, but his actions may suggest that he is. His supreme level of confidence sometimes gets in the way of his common sense, and he does idiotic things, like burning his soccer number onto his foot or releasing embarrassing photos of his classmates. He’s a nice guy, usually, but he almost lacks common sense. He’s the kid who complains about swimming in near-freezing waters being boring. -- CONFIDENT: The name “Posteur”, pronounced at Poster by Americans, gave Sam his first real, probably permanent nickname: Poster Boy. The words “Poster Boy” are commonly connoted as somewhat of a Golden Child, the perfect kid. See, Sam was always that kid. He was intelligent enough to receive good marks in school, handsome enough to make girls swoon, athletic enough to play multiple sports decently, popular enough to make his parents proud, creative enough to win awards, disciplined enough to be on the Headmaster’s list, and charming enough to make most of his faults less fault-like. Never too amazing at something to threaten, but good enough to be noticed. He’d always been like that, and still is. He has a smile that braves dangerous times, showing up whenever it shouldn’t. He knows that he is charming, that he can impact someone with just one perfect white smile, that he can change your mind about a topic, and will use it. He’s always been that guy, the one you couldn’t help but know the name of. He isn’t as arrogant as some people think he might be, but his confidence is in the skies. He’ll say what he thinks, even if there’s likihood of being wrong, because he has the balls to say what some people won’t bother saying. As soon as Sam realized he was bisexual, he came out to his friends, who were shocked to say the least, and then to his homophobic parents. He knows himself very well, and won’t deny something bad about his personality if it’s true. --THE UNKNOWN SIDE: Within the confines of his room, Samuel is not who he is at school. He is softer, kinder, and more open to life. He’s always had to be an older brother for his little sister, a shoulder to cry on for girl friends, and it has influenced his private personality. He would never bother talking about feelings or ideas with his friends, but he’s pretty deep. He doesn’t think about philosophy, but he loves considering government policies and what affect they will have. He is pretty nerdy when alone, but if he’s around his friends he’ll seem shallow and without substance.
-- LOVES: Swimming, Soccer, Economics, Politics, Friends, Guys, Girls, Music, Strawberries, Clothes, Trying New Things, Winning, Pleasing People, and Being Honest. He values Honesty, Courage, Loyalty, and Happiness. -- HATES: Homophobes, His Claustrophobia, Lying, Betraying People’s Trust, Autumn, Wannabes, Smartasses, Humility when it’s not called for, Peaches, Pears, and Celebrities.
-- HISTORY !
Samuel Aiken Posteur was born September 21st to Harvard Posteur and Victoria Aiken, a couple in their mid-thirties at the time. He was named for his mother’s father, Samuel Aiken, creating his first and middle names. The surname belongs to his father’s side of the family, a French name. His father Harvard was a well-known architect and businessman on the East-Coast, mostly because he actually had a talent with people and making things structurally possible and beautiful simultaneously. Victoria, Samuel’s mother, was an attorney, though not a wildly popular one due to the fact that she didn’t work often, taking care of her son for the first few years of his life. The boy, called Sammy by his mom, grew up loved and adored, even if he did not see his dad often, and attended church every Sunday and sometimes more throughout his childhood.
It was obvious by the time Sam was three or four that he had some charm about him; enough that he could always get his way out of trouble. The sparkling little boy would smile at you even if he loathed and despised you, and convince you that you were the center of the universe. Adults would usually favorite the blue-eyed child over another because of Sam’s knack for making people feel special. As he grew older he became wiser, learning more tricks to making people happy, mollifying them. He was strikingly intelligent for a kid, though not enough to earn him the title of a genius or gifted, just beyond what was expected. He was always that way, successful to make his parents proud, but he didn’t threaten the truly gifted students in his class. He started playing sports, swimming, soccer, baseball, football, and lacrosse, and it came as no surprise to the Posteurs that he had a knack for those too.
His family never grew large, but when he was six he had a little sister named Sydney, whom he never took too much interest in, always busy with his activities and schoolwork. He went through the grades, always smiling at the uncertainty of a new year, happily chugging along. He dated here and there, and was always respectful towards the girls he dated. He never hooked up with anyone, never gave up his innocence, and never cheated. Of course, his V-Card is still there, because of this handy thing called a Purity Ring. His sophomore year of high school, there was a transfer from New York City, and Samuel Posteur, one of the most well-liked and well-known guys of his year, instantly knew he was attracted to guys as well as to girls. He had been dating a girl at the time, and in a traditionally Sam-esque way, told her he was attracted to someone else. Sam instantly began pursuing the friendship of the new boy, Tristan, still in the closet of his sexuality.
He became one of Tristan’s good friends at the school, and used his influence to make Tristan wildly popular. He learned in confidence that Tristan as well had homosexual feelings, though the boy was sure it was just a phase. Sam, however, knew his own current sexuality was set in stone, and convinced Tristan that a kiss would decide whether the boy was truly gay. They kissed, and Sam enjoyed it more than any kiss he had ever had, and Tristan did as well. They began dating, disguised as a close friendship, and after a month, the pair came out to their friends. Their friends were shocked to say the least, and Sam’s teammates on the Soccer, Lacrosse, and Football teams were stunned into silence on the topic. After a few weeks, Sam finally went to his very devout, homophobic parents, and told them that he was now openly bisexual and had a boyfriend. They were less understanding than his friends, and were furious. The made arrangements to have him attend a counselor for his “problematic phase”, which he bothered attending, just so they didn’t get more upset over the matter.
By the end of the year there seemed to be “no improvement”, and his mother shipped him off to Capeside, where his grandparents lived, who were much more sympathetic towards his position. He ended his relationship with Tristan due to the problem of distance, but the couple are still best friends. His grandfather, Sean Posteur, who already had a good relationship with his grandson, quickly took on the father figure role again, although he was more lenient with the seventeen year old than his parents. His grandma loved him dearly, and spoiled him greatly, though she was more strict with rules than his Grandpa. Sam liked it better in Capeside, especially living with them, and instantly took to the high school. He joined the soccer team as soon as was possible. He started hanging out with a group of guys, and was confident he could make being bisexual work with a bunch of straight guys.
One of the boys, a guy named Wyatt Tanner, turned out to be a closet gay, and they started hooking up. Sam was just looking for company, someone to partially replace Tristan, who he never spoke of. He knew that Wyatt was using him, or at least guessed pretty accurately, but for what purpose, he had no idea. He’s still very happy in Capeside, but he’s growing suspicious of Tanner. Why won’t the guy come out already? It doesn’t matter for Posteur, he doesn’t plan on dating Wyatt, but he figures it’s just easier being honest.
-- SAMPLE !
The glass door to the coffee shop opened, a group of young men strode in. Most wearing USC football shirts, or the red flat-bills of their university. Most were giants, over six foot three, but one wasn’t. A man with dark brown hair, wearing a pair of red, gold, and white plaid shorts, with a lanyard hanging out the side pocket, and a white V-neck that clung to the defined muscles underneath, stood in line, towards the back, talking to a friend. The guy wasn’t very tall, probably only five foot ten at most, but he had broad shoulders, and good posture that told of his family background.
He smiled, showing off a set of glimmering teeth, and put his hands in the pockets of his Trojan-colored shorts, relaxing his demeanor. The boy’s tan skin looked natural, unlike many of the Californians in the room who appeared to spray-tan, and his gray eyes gazed at his companion and the menu in complete ease. The line moved slowly forward, and the stepped up to the counter. The girl behind the counter glared as she examined the group in USC Trojan clothing and colors, but she looked shocked when she saw the handsome boy, with the unkempt dark chocolate locks, that swirled like a tornado into short curls. The Trojan smiled at her, and spoke in a suave, sleek, and silky, deep voice, with a slight New York accent to it, “I’ll have a Thai Iced Tea, please.” He ordered, gray eyes looking content as he glanced at his friends.
The girl nodded, and told the other girls behind the counter the order, and looked back to him as he eyed the blueberry muffin, “I’m Melissa, what’s your name?” the pretty girl asked, completely oblivious to the fact that while he wasn’t wearing a Trojan shirt, he was sporting USC colors.
“Henry Octavian Connaire,” One of the Trojan boys said before the dark-haired student could reply. The girls face told them that she knew the name. Then again, all avid SCU and USC football fans knew the name ‘Henry Connaire’, and most University students at the two schools were. This girl was obviously one of the majority. Actually, most Pac-11 fans knew who Henry Connaire was, even more so than Logan Jase, as the New Yorker had had 4 State Championship years behind him as quarterback going into College. NFL scouts were panting after the young star, who didn’t even plan on joining a Professional team. In fact, Henry was planning on inheriting and running his mother’s media empire on the East coast…
