-- LANDON IAN CARTER !
-- NAME: Landon Ian Carter -- NICKNAMES: None -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: Twenty-four, March Nineteenth -- BIRTH PLACE: Capeside, Massachusetts -- ORIENTATION: Heterosexual -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: Paramedic -- PLAYED BY: Matt Lanter
-- PERSONALITY !
-- HELPFUL: Landon has a big desire to help others. He is the type to always put others first whether it be their feelings or personal safety. He is a person pleaser. All he really cares about is making someone happy, even if that means making tough decisions. Landon would pretty much do anything anyone asked of him, aside from hurting others. That would be the complete opposite of his intentions. He is all ears when someone needs to vent or a shoulder to cry on. When you need help, Landon is your guy and it's a great trait for his job as a paramedic. -- CONFIDENT: Landon has always had a high level of confidence, even as a child. He was taught by his parents that confidence is the key to happiness. As long as he had a reassuring heart, in a way that he believed anything was possible, then he would accomplish anything and everything he wanted. This isn't to say that Landon is perfect. No one is but having the confidence in every aspect of his life, whether that be playing baseball or getting threw medical school, has helped him succeed. It has also helped him get threw some rough times. This is also another trait that is needed with his job because he needs confidence with every decision he makes. He can't just hesitate and second guess his actions. As a paramedic he needs to be thorough and confident. -- RISK-TAKER:Landon is a 'go with it' type of guy. Living by a plan or rules isn't really his cup of tea. Though, there are certain boundaries he knows not to cross but to accomplish everything in life, he believes that risks are needed. The worst that could happen is an unwanted outcome. That's life though and taking risks sort of spices up the ride. Being risky, with just about every aspect of his life, also brings out a driven side. When he wants something he goes for it, even if it could possibly ruin him. When he has a gut feeling about something, Landon jumps and hopes he lands in a soft spot. It's a 'risky' trait because there could be a lot of bad consequences to the choices he makes but he would own up to them.
-- LOVES: science, adventure, dogs, adrenaline rush, woman, kids, romance, poker, fast cars, baseball, pleasing others, helping others, traveling, bonfires, family. -- HATES: anything grape flavored, losing, hurting others, lying, asian food, cheese, screamo music, baby-talk, needy girls, being told what to do.
-- HISTORY !
Landon was born and raised here in Capeside, Massachusetts by his parents Elizabeth and Jack Carter. He was the first child and two years after his birth, his younger sister Lilah was born. He loved being the older brother who had to look over the baby girl of the family. The two were extremely close growing up, Landon always being over protective of Lilah. Of course, there would be some animosity from his sister but she loved him anyways. Even if he did drive away half of the potential boyfriends in high school. When Landon was twelve, his family had a big fall out when his parents decided to get a divorce. It was really hard on the Carter children, especially his sister but he had to be strong. As he got older, Landon couldn’t hold a grudge against his parents for their decision. It wasn’t a messy divorce. They actually worked really well together raising children, even if they lived in two different households. His father remarried when he was sixteen and to a woman that had a son the same age as Landon. His name is Darren and despite not being blood related, they grew up pretty close. Both boys shared similar life stories and hobbies.
At this point, Landon chose to live his father as primary guardian and Lilah followed. Hurt in a way, his mother soon remarried to a man who had no children and didn’t really care for them. Which made the relationship with his mother even worse but with time they would put their differences aside. Fast forward to present time. Landon has graduated high school and completed college with a BA in biological science. He is now a paramedic and loves his job. He shares an apartment with his stepbrother, though Darren is currently over seas with his troops. He keeps up with the bills with the money he makes and some sent by mail from his brother but his most important job is taking care of the ladies in his family. This means Lilah, who is still attached to his hip, and Brooke, Darren’s girl friend. Landon has found himself falling for Brooke and is not sure what to do about it, especially since his family gets a notice in the mail from the Marines stating that Darren wont be coming home for another year. What will happen when Brooke looks for a shoulder to cry on?
-- SAMPLE !
Claire pursed her lips as shut her locker and glanced down the hallway that was filled with fellow students whom were either rushing to class before the second bell rang or wasting time because high school was pointless. If she had a choice, the brunette would have been mingling with friends and waiting until the last possible minute before moving on to her next subject. Hell, the seventeen year old probably wouldn't have shown up to school. Claire would have much rather spent her time practicing the routine for her next recital. Ballet was her life but because her parents had succeed in the business world, they made sure their daughter had some education to fall back on. There wasn't much she could do. At least not until she turned eighteen and graduated. At which point she hoped to get out of town and in roll in New York's Ballet Academy, despite her parents efforts of trying to enroll her into college. Claire would make sure they didn't get what they wanted. High school was enough, college would just be a waste of time and money.
She brushed a hand threw her long, auburn locks and then headed to Chemistry. The sad part about the high expectations of getting good grades for Claire was that it wasn't that hard at all. Maybe it was genetics or maybe it was just natural but there was no doubt that school came easy for her. Not as easy as dancing but being the only Adams child left, she needed to please her parents in some way. Claire hugged her textbook tight in her arm while resting it on her hip like a baby. She took a seat in front but tried not to get too comfortable because Mr. Jinkins was assigning new lab partners. She didn't mind as long as her new chem buddy didn't get in the way of her work. Normally she was stuck with some ditsy girl who spent more time gossiping or some stoner guy who couldn't focus long enough to understand what was going on. Claire was use to taking charge. In fact, she liked it that way. That meant she was on her own and no one could distract her. Even if she did pair up with someone a little more serious, she always took charge and most hated it. She was very bossy and liked things done her way.
She tapped her toe against the table and waited for her name to be called. She heard Remy Parker's name called and then hers. Of course she was paired up someone who was as equally smart or even more than her, though Claire would never admit that to him. This partnering could cause for some trouble. Once she finally positioned herself at the table Remy had chosen, he was already gone and back with supplies. As much as most would like sit back and let him take the reigns, Claire wasn't like that. She glanced over the instructions and begun picking up the supplies, wanting to get the assignment over with. "Can you hand me an empty test tube?" She glanced over at the boy but helped herself before he could really do anything.
