plot:
alex and injured partner have been partners for a few years, now. they've been through a lot together and have formed a tight bond. he's one of the few people that she trusts. they're best friends. but one day, while working a pretty risky case, a suspect whipped out a gun and shot injured partner. he's currently in the hospital, in a coma. although worried about him, alex has to get back to work, and she can't work it alone. she's paired up with new partner, who she would probably get along with if she wasn't so dead set against working with anyone but her old partner.

this is pretty much... all open. obviously whoever takes the injured partner can wake him up and get him out at any point, although i'd like it if he were forbidden from going back on the job for a few months as to let this grow. the new partner can be anyone, although it'd be fun if he were someone that fit well with alex as far as banter goes. perhaps he just likes to get under her skin? it'd also be fun if a pretty big case comes up, one that they have to get invested in. maybe go undercover for. something that throws them together.

so, yes. as for twists, we can throw in things like sexual tension, underlying feelings, whatever, if you so please. this is totally open. i'd like to discuss everything, of course, but nothing is totally set in stone. c:

soo i've had my eye on the new partner for a while, but i have two different ideas on how i would make him.

A: He could be an older, more experienced cop who thinks he's the best and is completely cocky and obnoxious who actually loves to get under people's skin with a pb of DAVID BOREANAZ or MICHAEL WEATHERLY,

OR B: He could be a young'n, brand new to the cop bidness, trying to get the hang of everything and awkwardly trying to stay on alex's good side but most likely failing terribly anyway because he's so clumsy and unprofessional with a pb of PATRICK J. ADAMS or GARRETT HEDLUND.

but do either of these sound okay to you? =D
