-- CHARLOTTE ANN MACPHERSON !
-- NAME: Charlotte Ann Macpherson -- NICKNAMES: Char -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: Twenty-six, May sixteenth, nineteen eighty-five -- BIRTH PLACE: Capeside -- ORIENTATION: Heterosexual -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: Model -- PLAYED BY: Gitte Lill
-- PERSONALITY !
-- AMIABLE: Char is as sweet as they come, despite most people's initial idea of her. She's generous, open to all and very non-discriminatory. Simply put, she's nice. Not the fake nice you get from some actresses or models, but real, sincere kindness. Even when she's down, or stressed, she still puts on a warm smile and welcoming words are always on her lips. Very little could get this girl in a truly foul mood. -- HARD-WORKING: Charlotte's lifestyle as a model leads some people to believe she's got it easy. Really, she doesn't. She works tirelessly to keep herself in shape, to keep her image clean and to make everyone around her happy. Most of the time, she's dead tired, but she'll smile for the cameras anyway. She's never been a whiner, so even at the worst of times, she'll chug through the darkness like a little steam engine. Char is always ready to go the extra mile for the people around her, even if it stretches her a little thin at times. -- GROUNDED: Despite the acclaim that comes with being a successful model, Char isn't snooty or bratty like some would expect. Her humble beginning led to a humble lifestyle; she still puts almost everyone before herself. If the paparazzi want pictures of her and she spots an old lady needing help crossing the street, she'll lend a hand, even if it means messing up her hair or bending over or-- god forbid-- breaking a sweat. She understands that life for her is more than just modeling. Though she appreciates her job and the opportunities it has given her, she knows it won't last forever. She spends her money smartly and takes care of herself at the end of the day. Can't win the race with a beaten horse, you know? -- WORRYWART: Part of being a good person is doing good things. Unfortunately, Char's a bit addicted to doing good things. And when good things turn bad, Char gets a little... well, panicky. She's one of those women who throws a nice party and then freaks out through the entire thing that no one is having a good time, when, in reality, everything is fine. She worries about her friends and her father, and tries to stay in contact as frequently as possible. She even has Capeside's weather saved on her phone so she always know when a storm is blowing in. -- SELF CONSCIOUS: Due to her childhood obesity, Char has never quite shaken her self-conscious ways. In spite of all of her efforts to be healthy and fit, she still sometimes feels like the fat kid who everyone secretly made fun of. This makes her very modest, but not in the fake way. Some people use modesty to fish for compliments-- Char honestly just doesn't find herself attractive. (Silly girl.) In her mind, it's the photoshop that makes photos of her pretty, not her being her. But, hey, if the people with the money want to take her picture, she won't complain. She just always ready for her luck to turn around; she pretty much expects it. -- GULLIBLE: Maybe she shouldn't be, but boyo is this girl trusting. You could tell her aliens lived on Mars, and that there were pictures of them on the internet, REAL pictures, and she'd buy it. Despite the torment she suffered as a kid and the ridicule she still occasionally receives as an adult, she manages to believe in the goodness of mankind. She's not stupid by any means, but she just doesn't see the purpose in telling grand lies. Or, really any type of lie. Surely, if you say it, you mean it. Ulterior motives and ultimatums don't quite register on her mental radar.
-- LOVES: chocolate cake, photography, making people laugh, swimming, sleeping in, cute animals, camping, traveling, hot chocolate, collecting bottles -- HATES: alcohol, late nights, jogging, clothing shopping, stress, mint, heights, rap music, saturated fat, paparazzi
-- HISTORY !
Raised in Capeside by just her father, Charlotte always felt a bit lost. As a young woman, her father rarely could connect with her, and though he put in effort to, it never really played out. With out her mother, who had died just a year after her birth in a car accident, there was a lot of advice and guidance Charlotte missed out on. From this came a few unhealthy habits; spending afternoons lazing around on the sofa watching sports and eating poorly. Her father wasn't much of a cook, so most of her meals growing up were microwave friendly or ordered. As Daniel Macpherson was a plumber for a living, he didn't exactly make a million a year. Buying healthy food was hard enough; buying cheap and less nutritious was all he could afford. Thus, by the time, Charlotte was in middle school, she was clinically obese. She hated her weight and the ridicule she got for it, and found solace in little other than her own enemy; food. It was in middle school that she met James Barber. He was one of the popular kids. Cute, smart, funny. She was instantly in love with him. Of course, being from different sides of the social spectrum, they never spoke in those middle school years. Only a few years later in their sophomore year of high school did their first meeting occur. A scandal had hit; Melinda Barber, Jimmy's mother, had been having an affair. After a messy divorce, he was left with his scorned father and plenty of settlement money. The affair had done more than shame the Barber name; it had shamed Jimmy. The boy, once popular, became a dreg of the school, just like Charlotte. She was kind to him. After all, she was in love with him; the affair of his mother only made her appreciate his strength more. Over the remaining years of high school, they became close friends. To her dismay, that was all they ever were. She figured it was her weight that made her unattractive, and settled for just being the best friend.
After high school, Charlotte and James parted ways. They stayed in contact for a while, but since she had moved to New York to go to NYU and he'd stayed in Capeside, the distance became to hard to traverse. They stopped speaking by the time Char turned twenty. It was at this time when she was at NYU, studying economics, that she began to work out. Jogging, weight-lifting, diets. For the next year, she threw herself at healthy choices and abstained completely from junk food and laziness. She had just turned twenty-one when a talent agent found her and said they wanted to see her model.
As explained earlier, her father worked as a plumber. Money was never plentiful in the MacPherson home, and NYU wasn't a cheap school to attend. The agency offered to sign her a decent contract and good pay to pose for them. As she would've had to drop out soon due to insufficient funds, she found modeling to be the better deal. She dropped out of college and has been modeling ever since.
Charlotte has made a few good friends, but not many. In the five years since she started working in the business, she's lost touch with the people that mattered to her. Her father. James. Despite phone calls home and letters, she wants physical contact. Constant work has prevented her from really going back to her roots, but the girl decided it was time to put her foot down. So, just a few weeks ago, she decided to go on vacation and visit Capeside. For the first time in eight years, she's going home.

Alright, So I have a bit of an issue with this application. It’s basically this: I find it really unbelievable that someone who is grounded, hard-working and self conscious would drop out of college to be a model. While you have explained these points in relation to modelling, you haven’t really told me much about who she is as a person, regardless of her modelling career. I strongly urge you to consider this character a little closer, and think about who she is outside of being a model, and why she would drop everything to be a model. Also, Please remember personality points need to be complete paragraphs.
