-- AVIA EMILY ALDERIDGE !
-- NAME: Avia Emily Alderidge -- NICKNAMES: A, Alderidge -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: nineteen, sixth september -- BIRTH PLACE: Capeside -- ORIENTATION: Hetero-Sexual -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: music teacher, aspiring musician -- PLAYED BY: Pixie Lott
-- PERSONALITY !
-- MANIPULATIVE: This blonde knows exactly how to get what she wants, whether it be from her parents, her friends or guys, she can play them just like she can play the guitar. She can work out people’s weak points in a moment and that makes her task pretty simple. Her whole life she used to her skills to get what she wanted from her parents and siblings, they always wanted to please her and when one thing wouldn’t work they’d offer up another. Her sister’s would change the channel to stop her from screaming and her parents never disciplined her, they put it all done to middle child syndrome. Those three words, middle child syndrome, were a godsend to the blonde, it meant that they were too scared too say anything to her; they felt it was there fault for having three children, or for neglecting Avia when her youngest sister was born. In fact though they never neglected her because she didn’t let them, if their mom was cradling Blair Avia would wail until the baby had been put down and her mom started to play barbies with her, it was that simple. With her dad it was even easier, she was a daddy’s girl and all she had to say was ‘daddy’ and he’d be at her beck and call. As she got older how she manipulated changed, she learnt to be more subtle, it wasn’t what she said but how she said it. Avia learnt how to get her friends to do her bidding and she had worked out guys by the time she was fifteen and she knew exactly what to do to make them lust after her, well most of them anyway. Her techniques weren’t so successful on people with higher IQs but that didn’t bother the blonde, it was appearance that mattered and she managed to find the gorgeous ones who had very little up there. -- UNDERSTANDING: Although she doesn’t like to admit to a soft side Avia can actually be very understanding, she has been through a lot, most of which her parents aren’t aware of. The girl has a knack of being able to emphasize with many situations, even if she’s not been in anything anywhere near similar, she just seems to understand what it would feel like to be there. Some say she’s just really good at putting herself in another persons shoes but she chooses when to do, she can be a complete bitch and ignore how that will affect the other person but catch her in a different mood and she’ll offer you support as you cry on her shoulder. She likes to write music and her understanding nature helps this as she writes about things she has yet to encounter, as she tells people, if she only told her story it’d be pretty short. When Avia is writing a song about someone elses experience she immerses herself in their life, she sits in her room and imagines going everything they do, carrying the story on their shoulders, it’s a trait that any actor would kill for but Avia only uses it 10% of the time. -- MUSICAL: Music is Avia’s life, quite literally, she teaches music to kids and she plans on becoming a professional musician some day, it’s not a dream, for her it’s just a reality that hasn’t happened yet. At the age of five Avia began to learn the piano and soon after she took up the guitar and with each year after that another instrument was stored in the girl’s room, she was allowed to take up whatever she wanted. So now, age twenty, Avia can play the piano, guitar, harp, violin, cello, flute, piccolo and the trombone. It almost broke the girl’s heart when she was told she couldn’t play a reed instrument, it was her fifteenth birthday and the saxophone was the next instrument on her list but her parents told her that if she took up a reed instrument she wouldn’t be able to play the flute, the mouth positions were just too different. Guitar is Avia’s favourite instrument because it’s sociable, she liked being able to take it and sing where-ever she wanted, it was a chance to show people what she could do. She teaches private lessons to children under twelve in a variety of instruments but it’s not really her calling, she does it to make money, she wants to sell albums and get into the top 40, just watch this space Avia Alderidge is on the way up.
-- LOVES: music, singing, family, friends, getting her own way, television, England, dogs, sunshine and fashion. -- HATES: adverts, out of tune singing, reed instruments, tv talent shows, others taking center stage, board games, spiders, rapping, losing things and chalkboards.
-- HISTORY !
Avia Emily Alderidge was born on the twenty-sixth of April twenty years ago to a couple of pretty wealthy parents. She was the second Alderidge but she wasn’t to be the last, oh no, four years later brought the birth of her baby sister Blair but that’s a different story for a different time. Their mother was a little bit pushy and she forced the young children into many activities in a hope to give them opportunities that she had never had a chance too have, if you asked Avia she’d tell you she could have done without 70% of the ‘opportunities’. The worst one for the little blonde was beauty pageants, she wanted out as soon as she turned seven and realised that she was just being dressed up like a little doll but her mom was having none of it. With Avia’s bright blonde curly hair and relatively good child singing voice she was a top runner in every pageant she was entered into, which made her mom very proud. Avia hated it and she soon realised that the only way out was to screw it up, so by age eleven she was messing up her hair before going on stage and wailing her way through ‘Beauty and the Beast’ her mom became embarrassed and Avia never had to enter another pageant, and that’s just a small example of her manipulation.
As she grew up the blonde began to realise she could get what she wanted, and she set about doing that. At school she seemed like the perfect little girl, she befriended the other students and held doors open for the teachers, but at home it was a whole different story. The jealousy began when Blair was born, Avia had been her parents little baby for four years and she did not appreciate the new girl stealing all her attention so she started to cry and storm and soon her parents would come rushing over, ready to comfort their little girl, it was the perfect situation. Avia loved attention, whenever a camera was positioned in her direction she’d automatically dance or do something silly, she wanted people to laugh, she wanted them to notice her, it didn’t bother if they were laughing at her because it still meant they were paying attention and that was all that she wanted. Some psychologists would say that Avia’s problems were due to a deep rooted need to be loved that had never been properly fulfilled but others would just say that Avia was a selfish little girl who was mollycoddled until it was too late.
She aged but she didn’t really change, she kept playing music and stealing attention away from her siblings she just did it with more subtlety and her attention was drawn to the opposite sex. She worked out guys and that was when the girl finally hit her stride, she realised she just had to alter what she did and she could control far more people than she thought she could. Boys were easy, just one flutter of her eyelids and they fell at her feet but that wasn’t what she wanted. She wanted a guy to fall for her, not to fall for her looks but to see past her façade and actually realise who she was, but she’d never tell anyone that. Avia’s music tells her life story but she pretends otherwise, she says that some songs are written about tv characters or people that she’s met when really they are stories she doesn’t want anyone to know. Avia never kept a diary, her songbook was that, a diary with a tune that she hoped one day people would sing along to on the radio.
