[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300] OUTFIT | TAGGED FOR NIKKI AS CALEB | SORRY IT'S SO SHORT!.
Nico was a naturally curious person. She ignored everything her uncle told her about curiosity killing the cat, her logic was that she obviously was not a cat and it didn't apply. Besides, they were just a bunch of caves. Nothing to be afraid of. Haunted? Psht, as if. Not intimidating. Intruiging, certainly. But probably very harmless. Nico had always thought they were cool, even though her uncle was terrified of them. He was just paranoid. Nico, personally, was the farthest thing from paranoid. She loved that sort of sense of danger she got when she was around things (such as haunted caves) that other people were seemingly terrified of, reckless, was a word that came around often when her uncle Max was describing her, she had learned as of recent, but she only thought it was funny. It wasn't her fault she was born cautiously challenged.
She had taken a boat - uncle Max's, to be exact- to the Peak Caves, partly because it was the only boat she knew she could take out because he never used it and partly because he would get that awfully horrified face when she told him where she'd taken it. He never liked her hanging around the caves, but he'd never stopped her from it, he said he didn't want to smother her, and she appreciated it. Though, she took full advantage of it, as well, to be quite honest. She took advantage of his generosity in general, way too much, and she knew it, but she couldn't help it, it was too easy. He would spoil her rotten before long, she was sure. She was laying in front of the entrance of one of the caves, in cutoff shorts and a crop top that exposed the black swimsuit she had underneath, and she was staring up at the sky, her hands under her head, for the first time in a long time, being completely quiet and just enjoying the nice day.
Her newly short blonde hair was softly blowing in the wind, her legs were crossed, and her flip flops were laying beside her because to be honest she wouldn't have even brought them with her if Max wasn't so obsessed with her safety, even for her feet, though she was pretty sure he knew she would throw them off as soon as she went out anyway. There was a bigger chance of her being attacked by the "spirits" or whatever supposedly haunted this place than dying because her feet were uncovered. In her opinion, he was being ridiculous. But as long as he wasn't worried about her, she didn't really mind. |

When Caleb had called his friend and asked to hang- this wasn’t what he’d had in mind. He’d thought she’d drag him off to the mall (that’s what girls did right?) or they’d grab a bite to eat or something. You know, something normal. Her suggestion though, had surprised Caleb. In a very good way. He didn’t know many girls that were willing to actually go to the caves. Most found them either too dirty or too creepy or both. He knew there was a reason he really dug Nico. She wasn’t like most girls, and he really had fun hanging out with her. To be honest, if he wasn’t so hung up on Scarlett, Caleb would probably totally be crushing on the girl. God, again with the liking a blonde. He thought that blonde’s weren’t even his type? Eh, whatever- Girl was hot, and really, how much did her hair colour matter anyway? Besides, this was all just in his mind, it wasn’t like he actually liked her. He was a one woman man when it came to Scarlett.
There were two ways to get to the caves. By the water, or hike down the cliff. It wasn’t all that difficult, the hike. Or well, at least Caleb didn’t find it hard. Then, he was a rather athletic young lad wasn’t he? Seriously though, it wasn’t that dangerous, and he’d done the hike with not so active people. He’d also done it not so sober. That, however, was a different story and not at all relevant to the current situation at all. Parking his car in a spare spot at the look-out, which was near the entrance to the trail down, Caleb collected his back-back and locked the jeep. Giving the aptly named car, ‘wrangle’ (because it was a jeep wrangler.. Yes, he wasn’t the most creative guy okay?), a pat on the roof as a goodbye, the young man made his way to the path. It was a little over-grown, but he knew the way well enough not to get lost.
The young man padded his way down the trail, finding his way to the cave in no time at all. Slowing to a stop before he was at the cave, the young man glanced around. Seeing his friend chilling on her back caused him to grin. She looked to peaceful right there, and to be honest, Caleb just couldn’t let that continue. He grinned even more as he, as slowly as he could, set his back-back down. Making sure not to make any noise. He was going to make the most of the spooky surroundings while he had the chance. And really, who could blame him? I mean, honestly it should have been expected. Invite Caleb to a place that’s said to be haunted, you are going to get pranked. It was like the law of the universe or some shit. Though, at least when it came to Nico, he thought at least she would appreciate his sense of humour. Or well, at least he hoped so.
Crouching down as low as he could go, Caleb crept silently closer to the girl. Working hard at not laughing as he did, or the whole thing would be blown. It was hard not to laugh though, because Caleb found himself absolutely hilarious. He was always the first one to laugh at his jokes. And you know, depending on the audience, he was sometimes the only one laughing. Which didn’t always bother him to be honest. Anyway, besides the point. Once he was close enough, Caleb reached out and took hold of her bare foot in a firm grasp. Not hard enough to hurt her though, that wasn’t the intention. He just wanted to scare the hell out of her. That was all.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,300] OUTFIT | TAGGED FOR NIKKI AS CALEB | (:
Caleb had seemed rather surprised when Nico'd suggested the caves, but he'd agreed rather quickly, which was rather amusing to Nico, personally. She assumed that he wasn't used to girls hanging out with him in the caves or something, she wasn't entirely sure what had surprised him so much, but she preferred traipsing around mysterious caves with a friend than to hang out at a mall and do pretty much nothing, she had found many people finding that odd, but hey, odd was a word used commonly to describe Nico anyway. She hadn't been waiting for long, but she'd gotten bored, which was the reason for her sudden interest in cloud-watching. She figured he'd find his way to her eventually, anyway, and until then, she'd have to have some way of amusing herself, and this was the easiest way to do that. Nico was pretty easily entertained, after all. She'd have preferred having her phone out and watching something on her mobile Netflix app, but it was already dead from that and unfortunately, she'd left it at the dorm anyway.
It was peaceful, which wasn't usually something you'd say around Nico, but it was, at least until she felt something grab her foot, and a shrill screech erupted from her mouth, and she picked up her shoes from beside her, chucking them as hard as she possibly could towards the thing that was clutching her foot. And then she saw Caleb's face, and she stopped screaming and put her hand on her quickly beating heart and closed her eyes, her fear turning into loud laughter quickly. "You jerk! I almost peed my pants!" She told him, jerking her foot away from him and then jumping on him, which probably would have made a much more effective tackle if she wasn't laughing so hard. Somehow, she wasn't surprised that he'd taken this opportunity to terrify her. Normally she wasn't easily scared, but the fact that she'd been watching crime shows nonstop for the past two weeks sort of had her on edge from people grabbing her feet. Well, that and the fact that these caves were supposedly haunted, he'd had the perfect chance, and she probably would be almost disappointed in him if he hadn't taken it.
Nico rolled away from him soon after her "attack", almost choking on her laughter, and shoved him gently. "I can't breathe." She announced loudly, sitting up again but still chuckling. Nico was that semi-annoying person who kept laughing for about an hour after the joke, even if it wasn't all that funny to everyone else. "I'm just letting you know, it's your fault, if I die. Though, you know, dying of laughter would be the best way to die, I think, maybe." She picked herself up and patted off her butt, in case she'd gotten dust or something on the back of her pants, and then placed her hands on her tiny hips as she looked (down, for once, being as short as she was) at her friend, shaking her head slightly, still grinning widely. He was almost (though not quite, no one was quite like Nico) as weird as her, which was what made her like him so much, she was pretty sure. That, and the fact that he was pretty hot, and a good distraction from Trinity's brother, to be completely honest, like she'd be admitting that anytime soon. "So, are you ready to do some explorin'?" She asked cheerily, spinning on her toes and turning to face the cave. |

Laughter erupted from the young man. Mixing with the scream the female had let out. He honestly found it hilarious that she was reacting like she was. It wasn’t any fun scaring people if they didn’t scream their lungs out. Some people kept fear all internalized. Far be it for him to tell people how to deal with fear, but was it too much to ask that people react in a way that amused him when he was praying a prank on them? I mean, what was the point of the prank if he wasn’t going to be amused by it? The bigger the reaction, the better it was for Caleb. That was probably why he enjoyed Nico so much. She didn’t seem afraid to be herself, even if other people frowned at her for it. So what if she was a goof-ball? As far as Caleb was concerned, it was a positive.
Dodging the shoe, Caleb laughed even harder. His face screwed up in pure joy. Oh man she was hilarious. If he was some bad guy or ghost or something what was a shoe even going to do? The Winchester boys would roll their eyes right now, if Caleb was a real ghosty and someone was trying to fight him with a shoe. She’d have better luck throwing salt or something. Though, if she actually had salt to throw, that would have been really kinda strange. He was used to strange though, considering he had such an odd thought pattern. Still chuckling as he moved away, Caleb laid back on the ground as he clutched his chest, renewed laughter as she spoke. “Peed yourself? Dude! That would have been hilarious.” Well, maybe not for Nico, but Caleb would have cracked up to see that. He wasn’t sure what she’d actually do if she had of, since it didn’t look like she had a change of clothes, but anyway.
Letting out a slight ‘oomph’ as she pounced on him, Caleb continued to laugh. He was a strong guy, and he could have easily over-powered the tiny blonde if he wanted to. However he knew he deserved the attack. She had almost peed herself after all. So instead of pushing her off, the young man simply poked her sides a few times until she moved away on her own accord. His laughter dying a little, Caleb sat up, watching the girl with interest. Considering what she had said, he tilted his head to the side. “You know, that seems like the perfect way to die actually. Go out having a good laugh.” It would probably be ideal for a guy like Caleb. He loved to laugh, and was constantly doing things to make himself and those around him laugh and enjoy life. If you weren’t going to enjoy it, what was the point in living?
Nodding, Caleb pulled himself up from the ground. Not really bothering to brush any dirt or what have you from his clothes. Honestly he really just didn’t care. “Just let me grab my pack-back.” He said, before ducking off to collect the bag from where he had left it. Putting the straps over his shoulders, he made his way back into the cave. “Alright, good to go babe.” He offered her a playful wink as he spoke.

In retrospect, a shoe probably was not the very best weapon she could have used to defend herself against anything, seeing as he dodged it easily, but she was a pretty bad aim anyway, nonetheless, and it was the only thing she could pick up at a moment's notice, she didn't have anything else with her. To be honest, she wouldn't have minded if they'd smacked him in the face, she'd probably have just laughed even harder, this time at him getting hit in the face for his attacking her foot instead of her own reaction, though. Nico tried to hold her laughter in as he laughed at her, probably picturing her actually having peed herself, but it was too funny of a sight for even her to not laugh at. She wasn't really sure what she would have done had she peed herself, though, she didn't bring any change of clothes or anything, but she never thought she'd have a reason to.
Nico only giggled harder as he poked her, being as ticklish as she was, she got tickled just by people wiggling their fingers at her. "I know, right? Seriously!" She commented, waving her arms in the air as if that helped in any way proving her point. Nico'd always wished since she had to die at some point, since everyone died, obviously, that she'd have at least an interesting way to die. Laughing to death would be interesting enough, if you asked her. But death wasn't really something she liked to dwell on, either. And before she could begin dwelling on it any more than she'd begun to, Caleb picked himself up and turned back to get his bag. Nico turned her head to the side and watched him go, and crossed her arms against her chest while she waited for his return. She didn't have to wait long, and she grinned again as he came back.
Personally, she hadn't brought along anything that might prove to be useful while exploring a cave, nothing at all. So she felt a little unprepared next to Caleb, but at least she didn't have to lug around a bag like him, this way, she figured. She'd get too tired out too quickly bringing a backpack of her own because she'd most likely over pack and then it wouldn't be any fun at all. It was best to leave everything up to Caleb, it seemed, though trusting Caleb with her life (though she doubted anything would get that drastic) was not exactly how she had pictured her day to begin with. She leaned over and picked up her shoes, considering for a moment whether or not she should put them on just in case, she didn't know what was going to be in there. and with a short, sad sigh, she dropped them back to the ground and slid her feet into them, deciding for once she'd do what Max would like her to do. Just this one time. She then skipped further into the cave, smiling mischeviously as she turned back around towards her friend. "Well, then let's go, slowpoke!" She sang, raising her eyebrows. |

To be honest, there wasn’t anything helpful to them in his back-pack. Not if they got into any trouble. No ropes, flashlight, or first aid kit. No equipment of any kind. However, if they got lost, they would not starve. Which was more important to Caleb by any rate. The boy was constantly thinking of his stomach before much else. Which was why he had filled his bag with all sorts of snack-foods before leaving home. Of course, his mother had offered to make them some sandwiches, but the woman was constantly doing things like ‘looking after his health’ with things like ‘salad sandwiches on grain bread’, which, gross. So he had politely (or not so politely, depending on how you looked at it) declined his mother’s offer and settled for bags of Doritos and some candy-bars instead. He had even slipped two cans of energy drinks into the bag as well. Not that Caleb ever needed help with energy.
Ginning, he shook his head. Bemused at her excitement for this little adventure. Normally he was the one chomping at the bit while other’s took their sweet time. This was a nice change for Caleb and he was going to enjoy it. Waving his hand lazily, the young man rolled his eyes teasingly. “Good god woman, keep your pants on.” He paused, a devilish grin taking over his features. “Or you know, don’t.. if that’s the way you prefer it.” He sent her a teasing wink. Of course it was a joke, he wouldn’t really suggest she get undressed. Though, if she chose to take it seriously and comply with his suggestion.. Well then, Caleb wasn’t going to complain was he? He didn’t know any guy that would complain that a girl like Nico was getting undressed in front of them. She was, after all, rather gorgeous and anyone with eyes could see that. Seriously though, it was a mere joke.
Laughing the joke off, Caleb moved further into the cave to catch up with his friend. To be perfectly honest, and not that he would ever admit it to anyone living or dead, he was a little nervous. Truth was, he’d seen way too many horror films not to be at least a little apprehensive about a place that had such a reputation. I mean, it was rumoured that some girl pushed s guy off the cliff up at the look-out. What if Nico was possessed by that chick’s spirit and had lured him here to push her or something? Caleb shivered at the thought, and shook his head a little. Trying to make it seem like he was perfectly put together by throwing his friend a large grin. “You okay babe? Not too scared?” He teased, taking a few long steps to get in front of her. Like the nice chivalrous guy he was (ha), going first to keep her safe from danger and all that stuff. Only not really. He wasn’t a bad guy, but he wasn’t exactly a gentleman.

Nico laughed sarcastically as Caleb told her to keep her pants on, narrowing her eyes and trying to keep the smile off her face and a more serious expression on it (probably ending up looking a tad bit constipated, knowing Nico) as he continued to speak about the removal of her pants. In response to this, she put her hand on his arm and squeezed it gently, scrunching her face up cutely and shaking her head. "As incredibly.. well, appealing, as that sounds, I think I'll manage to survive with them on, thank you," She said, patting his arm gently before taking her hand off of it slowly and grinning back at him before she continued on into the cave without him.
To not be afraid would probably be very stupid. But Nico never proclaimed to be the smartest person you'd ever meet or anything. Sure, Nico watched horror movies all the time, but yet she still found herself not easily afraid, unless of course, someone grabbed her feet when she wasn't expecting it, but who wasn't afraid of that, seriously? Surprised, she turned around again, her eyebrows raised, as he began to speak again, and then she grinned. "Scared? Puh-lease, as if. Why should I be, with such a big, strong man like you to protect me?" She flipped her short hair over her shoulder, fluttering her eyelashes playfully at him as he used his stupid mile long legs to get ahead of her, which so wasn't fair because obviously, her legs were not long enough to keep up with him.
Nico most definitely would have jumped on his back and demanded herself a piggyback ride whether he liked it or not, were it not for the backpack taking up where she would have leaped, which was probably a good thing for him. That he brought it, that is, because she would have eventually just climbed up on his back anyway. Not that she would weigh much more than the backpack in question, most likely. But she'd wiggle a lot more, and definitely talk in his ear a lot more. But instead of being an obnoxious monkey, unfortunately, she had to simply pick up the pace just to keep up with him, even though now that she thought about it, if there was some kind of monster or creature or something in there, he'd probably get eaten first if he was in front of her. Unless he saw it and trampled her down in his hurry to get away, which she would sadly not be surprised by. But Caleb would be a much bigger meal than her, though, so maybe the monster would chase him down anyway and leave her.
Unless of course it was a tricky monster, and then it could sneak up from behind and grab her if she stayed behind Caleb, and he'd probably not even notice until Nico had already been eaten or probed or something that sounded equally creepy and disgusting, though either way, walking beside Caleb instead of behind sounded like the better choice, if she could keep up the whole time. So it was probably a good thing she had more than energy for the both of them, this time.

Caleb chuckled to himself at the girl’s response to him talking about taking her pants off. That was more or less the reaction he had been expecting from her, so he wasn’t too disappointed. He merely shrugged good naturedly and let the conversation carry on. As far as life went, Caleb tried to be pretty easy going. Or at least appear that way. Despite his tendency to sort out his frustrations by punching things, Caleb had always tried to seem like nothing much phased him. While that wasn’t exactly true for some things, for the most part it was. He had a pretty high threshold for annoying things before he snapped. You just probably didn’t want to be the wall or whatever when he did. Seriously though, her comment hadn’t phased him in the slightest. He hadn’t even taken it to mean that she didn’t find him attractive because well.. Come on, just look at him!
Laughter busted out from him as she spoke again. He knew it. All the bitches loves his biceps! Slowing to a stop, The young man took his chance to flex his right arm. Wiggling his eyebrows up and down suggestively as he did. Caleb had never claimed to be a modest person, and if anyone assumed he was, then they obviously didn’t spend a lot of time around the young man, because he was constantly telling people to feel his abs, and all sorts of cocky comments about how built he was. And to be fair, he had reason to be proud of his body. The young man put a lot of effort into keeping fit and toned. If he couldn’t show off all his hard work, than really, what was the point of slogging it off at the gym for hours? There was just no point as far as he could tell.
“You better believe I’m a strong, sexy guy.” Okay, so they were not the words she had used exactly, but who cared. He was allowed to embellish a little. Besides, those were the words she should have said. Because he was a strong, sexy dude. As if to prove his point- well at least the strong part, Caleb turned on Nico. Wrapping his arms around the tiny blonde, he scooped her up in his arms, only to fling her (gently) over his shoulder. Laughing as he did so. He felt like Tarzan right now, picking up the girl like this. Running around in a small circle, Caleb went with the whole Tarzan thing. Grunting, he tried to keep his laughter at bay. “Me Tarzan, you pretty girl.” He grunted in his best impression of a cave-man. Some would argue that it was probably an easy impression for Caleb, as it was so close to his normal self. However to those people he would flip the bird.

Nico burst into giggles at her friend as he flexed his bicep and wiggled his eyebrows ridiculously at her, which in turn, made her she end up giggling so hard she literally almost fell over her own feet. Of course, this would be his immediate reaction. She was not surprised at all at this . She put her other hand over her heart as she calmed herself down, but of course, by then, he went on by calling himself sexy. "Well, can't argue with that." She teased, grinning, and then before she could even begin to comprehend what exactly was going on, he turned around at her and picked her up, throwing her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, laughing like an absolute maniac. She shrieked loudly as he picked her up, not expecting that part at all, and then began to laugh loudly again as he went on to impersonate Tarzan, pounding on his back playfully and squealing loudly, attempting to get him to set her down as he ran around in a circle with her over his shoulder.
"Caleb Danes! I swear, if you fart in my face, I'm going to beat you up!" She screeched in a much higher voice than usual. Of course, this was probably the least of his worries, a tiny young woman threatening to take him out, but Nico tended to make threats against people's lives almost daily, though none of them were anywhere near serious. Not as though she was long enough to even be close to his being able to fart in her face anyway, he was much taller and much longer than she was, but, still. She wiggled her butt around on top of his shoulder, wondering if she grabbed around his waist and lunged off of him if she'd end up back on her feet or flat on her butt. She'd done gymnastics before, but that was almost ten years ago and it was very highly unlikely that she'd remember anything from it. Plus, he'd eventually set her down again anyway, she was pretty sure. Well, she hoped so, anyway. If he didn't, she'd be quite worried. She probably shouldn't be laughing, she was probably just making it worse by encouraging him, but she couldn't help it, it was so ridiculous. And abnormal. Though no one ever said Nico or Caleb were normal in any sense, that she'd ever heard anyway.
She could feel her shoes slipping off her feet as she hung over his shoulder, and she wiggled her feet, trying to keep them on because if she didn't, she'd completely forget that she'd even brought them and then she would never see them again. "Put me down, Danes, I'm losing my shoes!" She said in the most commanding tone she could muster, which honestly was probably really weak, but at least she was trying, sort of. |

A fart joke! Oh god. Nico was making a fart joke! Caleb loved fart jokes. They were often his go-to material. Girls though- they normally didn’t like fart jokes. At least not most of the one’s that he had come in contact with. They didn’t find them funny, or thought toilet humour was beneath them or some stupid thing. Caleb wasn’t sure, because every time a girl had mentioned her distaste for fart jokes to him, he had zoned her out an made up some more in his head. Sure, that was probably rude or mean or whatever, but it was how he rolled. Nico though. She was making a fart joke! If the tiny blonde made a boob joke he’d probably fall in love with her on the stop. How freaken’ awesome was she? No wonder they got on so well, if he was that excited by the fact she had just told him not to pass wind.
Caleb smirked at her threat, grip tightening around her. Caleb was big, built, and strong. Nico was tiny. Even if she was strong for her size, there was no way she’d be able to take him and Caleb was sure of it. He’d be able to take her down like that (mentally insert clicking fingers). She could come at him with everything she had and he still wouldn’t be worried. Though, perhaps he shouldn’t be so cocky. There was always the chance that the girl had like super-human strength or some shit and could actually wail on him, which would be embarrassing enough without him boasting about his own strength first. But eh, how likely was that? “I’d like to see you try, babe.” He said with a laugh. “I’d have you on your back before you even start.” While he hadn’t actually meant the words in a sexual nature, Caleb couldn’t help but note the connotations as he spoke, chuckling to himself at his own joke.
Letting out a low sigh, Caleb pouted. He supposed he really should do as she wanted before it wasn’t fun for Nico anymore. Of course, if it was up to Caleb, he’d kept it up for a lot longer. However, he kept everything up for longer than most people (haha, oh yeah. You all want on that). That was the problem with a lot of Caleb’s jokes- he bolted past the line without bothering to even look back and check. “Oh fine, spoil my fun why don’t you?” Setting her down gently, Caleb let out a laugh. He did that a lot to be honest. Randomly interjected laughs in places that didn’t really need a laugh. It was good to laugh though right? At least, he thought so. Still chuckling, he cocked a brow at her. “Better now?”

Fart jokes used to bother Nico. She would squeal and be disgusted just as much as any other girl on the planet. But then she was sent to live with her uncle, who told them constantly, and after a while, they sort of grew on her, and she began to see the humor in them. She seemed to be the only girl who did, though, the only one she knew, anyway. Guys always tended to seem extremely shocked when she made fart jokes, though, which was always very amusing for her, so she found herself using them as much as possible. They just came naturally to her now, anyway. For whatever reason. She felt Caleb's grip tighten around her waist as she threatened her and it kind of tickled, making her break off into a fresh round of giggles. And then he laughed at her and she smacked his back again playfully before he continued talking, and she laughed again. "Oh, you are a kinky one, aren't you, you big overgrown lug?" She asked, shaking her head, even though he couldn't see it. Then he sighed and gently let her down from his broad shoulder, whining. She ignored that altogether and instead held on to him even though it was almost certain that he would make another comment about his muscles (not to say any of his comments weren't true, though, he had very nice biceps, but his ego was big enough without her agreeing with him), as she steadied herself back on her feet, slipping back into her flip flops. Nico looked back up and grinned as he asked if it was better, and she nodded. "Very much, thank you," She stuck her tongue out at him anyway, though, cause he deserved it, and then she sucked it back in and rushed onward before he could get her back for that one.
Her flip flops made thwacking noises on the cave's floor as she slowed down, her head pointing in every which direction as she looked around at her surroundings, her eyes wide with curiosity, forgetting for a moment that she even had company, but that didn't last long, and she spun back around and grinned back at Caleb again. She liked Caleb. He was actually a lot like her. It was probably best that they hadn't chosen to hang out in a more public place because they probably would have ended up somehow terrorizing everyone around. Nico, personally, could be insanely obnoxious when she wanted to be and sometimes it was just more fun to act crazy than to just pretend to be normal. "So how have you been, Danes?" She asked with a grin as she walked backwards before turning back around to the cave. |
