-- DEPRESSED: Yuffie has been quite sad for a few years now. You see, she met the guy of her life at the beginning of high school and they've loved each other ever since until he got into a car accident and died during their junior year. So, Yuffie has been depressed about her loss ever since. In fact, she has been sad for a while now that it's almost unusual. She hasn't been to a doctor about it because she hasn't had enough money to do so or go to a therapist. So, she continues to live her life wthout her love. Whenever she's with people or family, Yuffie acts happy and puts a smile on her face, but when she's alone, she likes to keep to herself and not really talk to anyone. She occasionally cuts herself when she's really, really upset, but that doesn't happen often. She just tries to live life through the pain in her heart.

-- INSOMNIOUS: Before her boyfriend's accident, Yuffie has already been some sort of insomniac. Due to her depressed mood, Yuffie has had even more trouble sleeping. Whenever she falls asleep, she falls asleep for a few minutes before waking up again and struggling to keep her eyes closed. Sometimes she'll have dreams of her ex-boyfriend, but her emotions take over and she'll wake up crying because she misses him so much. She'll try doing activities that usually make people exhausted or tired, which usually works, but she wakes up again after a few minutes. So, she is an insomniac.

-- HUMBLE: Yuffie hates talking about herself. Yuffie has always been taught manners and how to be modest. She's learned so much that to the point that when she feels like she's talking about herself, she'll feel bad and try to change the subject back to the person she's talking to. She hates feeling like she's the center of attention. Plus, she likes hearing about other people, like their background and their family and such. Even if it's gossip. So, yeah.

-- TRUSTING If you tell a secret to Yuffie, she'll promise to keep it. And she'll keep this promise. If you count on her for a responsibility or errand, you can count on her. She tries her best to make sure you can confide in her and usually when you ask her to do something for you, she'll do the best she can to do so. That's what makes her a good friend to somebody else. Don't ever expect her to lie and go around telling everybody your business because she's not like that. You can trust Yuffie.

Carmelo and Kira met fresh out of college In Rhode Island. Carmelo was a dental hygenist while Kira was the dentist's receptionist. They worked together and they went out after hours and the chemistry was there. They dated for two years before Yuffie came along. They weren't married, but once the found out that Kira was going to have Yuffie, Carmelo proposed to Kira and eloped in Florida. It wasn't long until Yuffie came along. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island and that's where she would grow up. The couple easily became adjusted to handling their child and taking care of her.

Yuffie got through school with average grades. She was sort of a goody-two-shoes type of girl, the girl that would always behave at all times of the day. She never got into trouble or didn't try her best at everything she did. At the beginning of high school, she met the love of her life. He loved and cared for her as though she had dreamed of when thinking of her prince charming. Plus, he was handsome to her and she loved that. They dated until about the beginning of junior year. Then, her boyfriend endured a fatal accident, who died at the scene. Yuffie was devastated and has been upset ever since.

Since she was so upset, Yuffie wouldn't let her sadness affect her family. She graudated from high school, then ran away. She didn't want to make her family so upset that she was upset. Yuffie ran away to Capeside, Massachusetts. It was a long way, but one of her friends helped her along, giving her a ride here and there. She eventually got there and managed to get a waitressing job. She also made enough to rent an apartment. Yuffie is trying to make her life better than what she thought it was going to be at home.

Irene didn't usually like exploring the outside world, but she needed to get some fresh air. She had stayed in her house for around three days straight and she was sort of getting sick of sitting at home bored out of her mind. All of her friends were out of town and the closest family she had was four hours away. She definitely was not in the mood to drive for long periods of time. So Irene decided to explore the town. She had been here for nearly seven years, but she never really got to see all the nooks and crannies in New York City. In fact, she knew it wouldn't take a whole day to explore the full city, but she wanted to explore some part of it. Being secluded to her home and work just wasn't cutting it for her.

Irene brought along some money to spend and she kept it close to her side in her jeans pocket. She knew that she probably wasn't going to spend it, but it was just incase. She strutted down the streets, occasionally stopping whenever the pedestrian crosswalk prohibited crossing at the time. Irene looked at all the stores she could possibly visit and look around for a potential purchase.

She never really noticed how busy New York was until she was actually part of the crowd, especially when she decided to explore the city. The streets were filled with people, crowded as much as that you almost couldn't move. From her home to work, she used a shortcut to avoid most of the traffic of people. Sure, there was some crowded streets in the shortcuts sometimes, but not as much as in the streets the tourists usually walk down. But now she was a tourist, she was one who was exploring New York City like it was her first time.

She passed by a pizza shop and the aroma of freshly baked pizza filled the air. Irene had a sudden craving of pizza. So, she entered the shop and just took a deep breath. Ahh, the smell of pizza. Irene ordered a piece of pepperoni pizza and waited near the counter. From the side, she noticed somebody familiar. Was it the repair guy for the business next to Irene's in the office? It sure looked like it. She took a few steps toward him saying, "Don't I know you from work?"

- You base Yuffie around this experience of her boyfriend dying. A lot of her personality depends on that, yet you fail to properly explain their relationship and the accident in your history. As it stands, it's not enough. Flesh her out. Make this event in her life detailed.
- There are a lot of redundancies throughout your application. You say something and then repeat it again in the next sentence, or a few sentences later, almost word for word.
- Your sample is a bit awkward and jumbled. There's no clear path as to where it's headed. It starts with a girl going outside and ends with her satisfying a pizza craving that she didn't have at the beginning. Aimless wondering doesn't give the other person much to work with. I'd like to see another sample.
