[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,300,true] if i could just find the time, then i would never let another day go by.ethan harlow tries to hide. honestly. it's almost pathetic. of course, if he weren't absolutely obsessed with journalism and one of the leading editors for the school newspaper, that would probably work against him. as such, being invisible in the eyes of almost everybody else at his school makes it easier for him to get what information he's looking for. he's a curious kid, always searching for the next headline and trying to figure out the world around him. sarcastic and a bit easily flustered, ethan can be a real pain. friends are possible, but he bonds best with people who hang on the fringes of popularity. he isn't sarcastic to be mean. he isn't afraid of people and isn't against talking. enemies can also come, and ethan has had his run in with bullies. or people who find his sense of humor to not be humorous. in terms of romance, he has developed a crush on his friend annie, but she doesn't return it. maybe it's not my weekend, but it's gonna be my year.eloisa - or elle - radisson has a life that focuses on dance. she managed to work her way into a dance company in new york city before being pushed out by a few new, younger girls. she won't try to make it obvious, but eloisa is extremely competitive. on the other hand, she likes people, and tries to appear happy. she's a very social being. she can at times be a little bit goofy, getting easily excited or poking fun at something, but she means well. she hates to see people worried or upset, and will keep things to herself if she feels it will prevent that. she can shut down at the mention of a motherly figure and can ignore any dance-related injuries to further her practice time. it isn't hard for her to make friends, but it also isn't hard for her to rub people the wrong direction or allow her competitive streak show. she can be a little clingy, and if one wants to get to the meat of what happened with her mother and her family dynamic, that could take lots of time. i've been going crazy, i don't want to waste another minute here.nickolai tennyson is a very contradictory fellow. on one hand, he has this running image going of a tough guy. he wants to be known as the dude you don't want to mess with. he can be a bit of an adrenaline junkie, and rather reckless. on the other, he's extremely protective and a tad overemotional. being left by his ex wasn't the best thing that happened to him and his daughter, but he certainly isn't the little snot he was years ago. friends may not like him at first (or enemies might), but once you get past the whole facade, he opens up to be more of a softie. he has a fondness for stubborn people, oddly. in terms of love, i believe he has a plot, but i'm sure he might flirt a touch. he can be a little unapproachable for new people, and isn't the most outgoing, though he has to speak up for his job waiting tables. stuck in this fucking rut, waiting on a second hand pick-me-up.
to round out this list is mister ralphie dillinger. as if that oozing sense of sarcasm weren't enough, he's morbidly honest. many would consider him harsh. he's also quite a confident, arrogant man. despite this, he really is supportive of those around him, even if they're ruining their lives. friends are possible, but the only people who would really put up with him would have to be as feisty as he is. most of them probably would have known him for a while and have developed a resistance to his sense of humor. in terms of enemies, he probably can easily use that big mouth to push people over the edge. ralphie doesn't censor himself, which could pose problems. for romance, i'll probably find a song plot for him. however, he gets bored easily and hates his job, so he will definitely be the type of guy to be flirtatious with multiple women. or at least think he's able to get with multiple, even if nobody else sees him as a stud.

ETHAN AND PATCH
I can see this going one of two ways. Either Ethan dislikes Patch and it drives him crazy because he hates being disliked, or they have an opposites attract sort of friendship. Either way, Patch will probably get upset by his sarcasm, but it never lasts long, he's such a fickle little puppy. Anyway, sorry this is so useless..

i think a sort of opposites attract thing would be more ethan-like. i mean, patrick would probably think ethan hated him at first, with all the sarcasm and potential insults. and then if patch ever said anything about it, ethan would have been like, "i-i don't hate you... whyyy?" and gotten all flustered. because how exactly do you prove that to others? ethan probably would have then gone on to tone down the sarcasm and try to be generally nice to patrick. so now they get along? they could go on adventures together, since ethan's kind of a pansy and neither of them like being bored.

And I can actually see the two bonding. Perhaps they would meet in a coffee shop or while one of them is studying in the park? Josiah tends to get bored if he doesn't have someone to talk to and seeks out company. If he saw someone sitting alone, he'd likely approach him.

Why, I don't actually know, but Josiah would find her competitive and caring spirit to be almost refreshing. Certainly someone I can see him hanging out with just for a good time every now and then.

Nothing that would overly attract them to one another's company but nothing so blatantly out there that they wouldn't want to hang out with each other at all. One of those things where they're nice enough to say hi in the grocery store but don't be expecting Christmas cards. In the future, this could either progress into an actual dislike or it could be forced into friendship if they actually started talking. Either way.
Any ideas?

josiah and ethan
i really think these two could get along, in an odd sort of way. i could imagine a studying sort of encounter, especially since they're both in school. ethan would probably awkwardly sit on a park bench and be like, "err. hey. mind if i read here?" but yeah, i think that they'd both initiate some form of conversation. ethan is easily fascinated by people, so yeah. i don't really have anything deeper to contribute to that.
josiah and eloisa
these two would get along better than ethan and josiah, not going to lie. eloisa would really enjoy being around someone confident. plus, she'd totally find his superstitions hilarious, in a positive sort of way. eloisa would gladly strike up a conversation and hang out with him, just because he seems like an easy-going dude who she would just enjoy talking to. plus, i think he'd be able to get her to relax a bit more, versus getting worked up over everything. her competitive streak wouldn't do away, it would just be diluted.

haha, i think these two could be amusing. going off of the grocery store idea, i could imagine his daughter running over and starting to talk. nickey would awkwardly apologize. i'm sure he'd feel uncomfortable and not really care that much for josiah. but his daughter would probably probe him into communicating if they ran into each other more than once. nickolai might grow to like him a bit, but he'd brush it off and act like he really didn't care and that josiah is just some random dude. i think it could be an entertaining sort of love/hate thing, just not really on the extreme ends.

Ethan: Ethan seems like a good kid who would probably remind Dex a little of himself. He's been there in high school, wishing you were invisible and still hoping someone would notice you (in the non-violent way). Maybe if Ethan is getting his ass beat one day by bullies or something, he can take shelter in Vibranium comics and Dex can chill with him a bit.
Eloisa: Dex would obviously think she's beautiful and awesome...so she'd be pretty intimidating to him. I can't really figure out a way that they would ever meet unless she has a sudden yen for comic books, but he would appreciate how fun she is and sort of envy how she has the whole package: talent, looks, and personality.
Nicko: Expect Dex to hide from him. The rough and tough guy thing may just be a front, but it's a front that works well in triggering Dex's flight instead of fight response.
HOLLY:
Ethan: He's an itty bitty baby, d'aaaaw. If he has woodshop she probably acts a tiny bit strict with him...only to pat him on the shoulder when other people aren't watching. He wouldn't suffer bullying in her class...nobody wants to piss off a shop teacher with a power saw.
Eloisa: Eloisa is so bright and sunny and...well, the type of girl that Holly can't really hate, but also can't really stand to be around for too long. Those types of people remind her too much of how she could never be like that. Holly wouldn't really have a problem with her in general, they probably wouldn't have a reason to meet.
Nicko: Her and Nicko would butt heads big time. They're both tough on the outside with slightly more gooey caramel centers. They probably rub each other the wrong way all the time. Perhaps it's not fair, but him being a 'rough' guy with a daughter would sort of remind her of her own father and all the hardship he caused in her life. She'd wonder if he was really a good guy or not and maybe eventually they'd come to an understanding and she'd see he isn't all that bad?
THATCHER:
Ethan: If there's one guy who sarcasm tends to just roll off of like water on skin, it's Thatcher. They could be casual friends since Thatcher isn't exactly popular, but he's not exactly an outcast. He's a buffer zone friend!
Eloisa: I...got nothing, I'm sorry. D8 But he'd surely like her if he ever met her.
Nicko: Again, I got nothing. Thatcher is a high school student, I can't foresee him ever meeting Nicko. x.x

aw, that would be adorable. i could imagine something like that happening, actually. or even if it's just raining or something. ethan isn't hugely into comic books, but i'm sure he'd still make conversation and be fine with being in the store, even if it isn't really the scene he's into.

i just get these horribly hilarious mental images of ethan trying to carve something and being like, "WHAT IS THIS?" he'd probably be a total sissy in holly's class, and probably just be confused and lost most of the time. (or afraid he'd chop his fingers off.) he would probably enjoy her class, even if it's absolutely terrifying.
thatcher and ethan
sounds great. if he was oblivious to ethan's sense of humor, i can't imagine them meshing extremely well. but ethan would still enjoy talking to him, and be able to make conversation instead of just being awkward. they seem like the type to maybe say hi if they ever ran into each other, maybe they would have had some minor class or study hall together?
dex and eloisa
haha, yeah, it doesn't seem like a place she would just mosey into. if they were to ever meet, maybe in a coffee shop or library or some setting like that eloisa would certainly strike up conversation. she's the type of person to take a while to figure out if someone is uncomfortable, and she would totally find him a cutie.
holly and eloisa
yeah, point taken. if they were to encounter each other, eloisa would probably just bother holly. she isn't always the most observant as to when she should stop bothering someone, and wouldn't really realize that she was being annoying. she would probably actually find holly interesting, just based on her attitude and the tough image. even if she would probably just rub holly the wrong way.

aw. i personally don't want it to go that way, but yeah, nickolai isn't exactly the most welcoming person. like another plot, if they were to meet when nickey was with his daughter, things might be different. but he'd still try to be the big, bad tough dude, so it wouldn't exactly work.

this. i like this. i'm amused by the prospect of them butting heads, because you know they totally would. i also like the idea of them coming to this mutual sort of understanding. ten would brush it off like there wasn't anything, and probably do a really bad job at it. i can imagine nickolai at some point accidentally saying more than he had planned, and then just be like, "err. forget i said that. i didn't mean to get all emotional."

yus. end of story. i really think these two would be hilarious. nickolai wouldn't want to upset his daughter or anything, and she'd probably distract him enough for him to forget. but then he would realize what was up, and just kind of be a smidge immature and pout and be annoyed. but then still turn around and coo over halley, who would just chat away with josiah and be like, "daddy, can't we talk to him some more?"
if i didn't explicitly list someone and comment, it's because i agree and can't contribute any more than what you guys already said so i thought it would be lame to just take up space. so yeah. if any of you want to get any of these up in a thread or anything, just let me know. (this took forever to type out.)

HOLLY&NICKO: Aww, you know what? They should totally end up being friends. Maybe not super close, but they could sort of have that emotional connection that they try really, really hard not to talk about because they're too macho. But maybe she's convinced he's a bad guy (and maybe a bad father) so she gives him a hard time and he's convinced she's just a rude bitch. But then, like...she sees him with his kid and begins to change her mind and he catches the way she's looking at his daughter and the way they are together and he realizes what, exactly, her problem is with him. THEN THEY HAVE MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING! <3 What do you think? I think it'd be cute if Holly, like...hand-made a music box for his little girl as her way of telling him she's sorry she got him all wrong.
