the cast
narrator -- ethan the other person -- angeles
the overview
enter ethan. sixteen, a junior in high school, and practically invisible. he likes it that way. he's the wallflower, the observer. he's always watching and analyzing, for further regurgitation elsewhere. he tells the stories of others through his own overbearing obsession with journalism. but then entered annie into his life. a bit of an outsider, much like ethan, and he latched on. it didn't take long for him to develop a little schoolboy crush.
they get along pretty well. they're friends. ethan doesn't just want that, though. but there's just one huge problem. annie is into women. but looking to the future, ethan is really growing weary. he doesn't want to go on to college and remember what could have been, but he knows she's absolutely off limits. he knows that his advances would get shot down and he would never get with her. but that doesn't mean his feelings just automatically retract.

I think this would be brilliant for Annie. The reason why he can't admit it would be because she's a lesbian. xD Annie's definitely an outcast, and they wouldn't end up together because of her unfortunate orientation, but what do you think? If i'm talking nonsense, feel free to kick me out. :]

you have no idea how amused i am by this. but yeah, i think that'd be great. ethan would be all awkward and absolutely know that she's off limits, so he'd just be like, "...well, that's great..." it would be horribly hilarious to me. and annie is interesting enough that he'd totally attach and possibly follow her like a lost little freshman. he's a curious little boy. even if it wouldn't go anywhere near the direction he would like. um. yeah. now i'm rambling.

I think that sounds absolutely brilliant; Annie would definitely attach too; she's socially awkward enough to cling onto him like a limpid; and she'd love his journalism, but occasionally point out girls and be all, "She's... wow," and be generally clueless. Plan? :]
