PLOT.- Dexter was an only child for four years, when his younger sister was born, Leslie. Leslie was the pride and joy of his father, leaving Dexter to become closer with his mother. Leslie became a solid army brat because of her dad. The relationship Leslie had with her dad made it difficult for Dexter to prove himself. It never really mattered; it was just one of those things. In kindergarten, Dexter met Destiny. Dexter and Destiny always played together. They became good friends at such a young age. When Dexter was eight, his father was called to serve another term in Afghanistan, and his mother went back to school. So Dexter and Leslie spent a lot of time with Destiny's family. At the age of nine, Dexter's father went MIA. This fact really tore the Howell family apart. Leslie became more disobedient, and Dexter became confused. Dexter's mom finished her master's and decided to move the family to Massachusetts. Dexter wasn't sure if he would keep in contact with Destiny. So in one word, their friendship was over...
- ...Upon moving to Massachusetts, Dexter continued taking music lessons, but sometimes, he couldn't focus. He thought about the girl he left behind in Chicago. After settling down, Dexter meet a guy named Jake. They played in the school band together, and eventually started hanging out. Jake was a troubled guy. His father disappeared from his life at a young age, and grew up with his mother and aunt. Jake knew what Dexter was going through so they helped each other through junior high. High school started, the freshman boys didn't know how to handle themselves. They started causing trouble, and meeting up with girls, having a good time. One word keep them together. Deejay. Both of them were curious about the music industry. Jake had been playing guitar for a while, but wasn't really dedicated. So with Dexter's help, Jake started getting more guitar lessons, and even singing lessons. Voice of an angel. Dexter and Jake started forming a group. Jake would write lyrics, sing, and add guitar riffs when necessary. Dexter would create the drum back beat and mix everything together. That's when Dexter meet Rachel...
- ...His sophomore year music class, there was a pretty little flute player that sat in first chair. That was Rachel. Dexter thought she was pretty and nice. But one word describes her perfectly: obsessive. Rachel can't get enough of Dexter. He's a dedicated musician, trying to get somewhere with music. Dexter is clearly annoyed. He breaks up with her after a why, and of course she just can't let it go. Junior year comes around, Jake and Dexter start deejaying small events in the area to make some profit to start buying new equipment. Dexter gives lessons to small kids with ADD, just like him for extra money. They continue working and eventually start getting recognition. Of course, they're still too young to get anywhere so they stay under the radar. Dexter still is off and on with Rachel, making his life that much more stressful. Senior year rolls around, Dexter starts looking into a music degree from Capeside College. Jake and Dexter both apply and get in. Graduation comes, and Dexter's father is found. Good news right in time before Dexter goes to college. Of course a month before Dexter graduates, his father drives him over the edge into overdosing, nearing losing his life...
- ...He wakes up in the hospital, and he finally raises his weapon, his voice, opinion to his father. Dexter explains why music is so important to him, and how he can never let it go to serve in the military. It just isn't his thing. After their conversation, they finally see eye-to-eye, but it doesn't mean that his father lets the topic go. Dexter graduates, and starts prepping for his freshman year at CU for a music technology degree. The day of his freshman orientation, Jake, Rachel, the whole gang is there, including...Destiny. The best friend he had from his childhood. The best friend he said that their friendship was over because he was moving was at CU as a student. Dexter freaks out, but somehow keeps his cool. Dexter talks to his sister asking for advice. Leslie had always given her big brother advice, doesn't mean he always took it. Dexter tries to get the courage to ask Destiny out. She turns him down, secretly wanting something more from Dexter, but knows that their friendship would be at risk, and she didn't want to lose him again...
- ...Now Dexter is a college sophomore, moving off campus with his roommate and best friend, Jake. They have parties where they advertise their music and have drunken college kids party. Dexter doesn't want to do anything with Rachel. And he still can't get Destiny out of his head. Leslie still picks on her older brother. And his dad can't give up the whole joining the military...[/blockquote]
OOC. Well, this was longer than intended. Awesome. The ages don't really matter to me, or personalities. I just need the names. Close to same ages. Leslie is four years younger than her brother. For more personality stuff, just PM and I'll answer :3[/blockquote]
