-- OBSESSIVE: the word obsessive makes her sound like she’s a creepy stalker, but that’s not really the way it’s intended. It’s more like she has obsessive compulsive tendencies; such as she has a great difficulty using public restrooms, by difficult i mean she doesn’t use them ever. Not that she hasn’t tried it’s just not in the cards. She can’t use silverware at restaurants either she has to bring her own, she’s never rude about her compulsive tenancies, but they are a big part of her life and she feels the need to carry cutlery in her purse still. She has several other little compulsions, but her doctors assure her that she’s not OCD, because she doesn’t have debilitating compulsions. However not being able to use a public bathroom seems a bit debilitating; luckily she has a bladder of steel.

-- LOYAL: Penny takes loyalty super seriously, if you’re a cheating bastard who backstabs their friend in the blink of an eye, she’ll hate your guts. Even when she wasn’t the nicest person she was always loyal to her friends. Now if you’re lucky enough for her to consider you her friend she’ll cut off her own head before she betrays you. Which means it’s kind of hard to gain her friendship, she wants to make sure that they’re worth her loyalty and that they won’t go and hurt her. Her loyalty doesn’t only apply to friendship, she’s never cheated on a boyfriend, she has definitely slept around, but the second she was in a relationship she was committed to that person. Unfortunately some of her boyfriend’s haven’t had the same feelings toward fidelity.

—CONFIDENT/INSECURE: Being obviously pretty has it’s perks and it’s qualms, but one of the perks it Penny has never thought she was unattractive. She’s been told she’s pretty her entire life. Being confident kind of came with the turf, she’s rarely intimidated by people. Talking to some random stranger is fine for her; she doesn’t have to worry about having a double chin when she laughs or anything. However at the same time she’s insecure, she’s never thought that she was as amazing looking as people said she was, but mostly she’s afraid of how people will perceive her when they find out she’s not a super sexy sex kitten, she’s just a normal girl with quirks and dorky interests. Penny has never felt she could really be herself with anyone.

On a rainy November day in a Seattle Hospital Penelope Elizabeth Kemplay was born to two very proud and happy parents, Aaron and Greta Kemplay. The two had met in college and waited very responsibly until they both had solid jobs to get married and another year before they began to try for children. Penny didn’t come for another three years due to Aaron’s busy schedule as a lawyer and Greta ’s as a nurse. After Penny was born Greta decided she wanted to stay at home with her baby because she didn’t want her to be raised by someone other than them. She also decided she wanted to live away from the big city in a town called Yakima. Aaron kept his job in Seattle and decided to commute everyday. In her first few years Aaron was very good at balancing his family and job, but as Penny got older she noticed her father seemed to be more absent that in the past years. He began to work more and come home late.

At the age of eight, her mother started to have an affair with one of the fathers that she met at a parent teacher meeting. Penny wasn’t made at her mother though she was mad at her dad, he was never around why should her mother wait around for him. Due to her good looks Penny had no problem being popular and unfortunately she wasn’t nice about it. She was a mean girl. Her resentment for her father became more and more prevalent in her teen years, she felt abandoned by him and therefore went searching for any kind of male attention she could find. After dating a whole bunch of losers and sleeping with more, Penny began to feel cheap. She’d always hated the people around her in that horrible town, everyone was so against anything that wasn’t their ‘norm’ small town mentalities pissed her off. It did teach her one thing, she didn’t want to live in a city like that again.

Unfortunately during her senior year he mother was involved in a car crash and was killed. In that moment all hell broke loose. Aaron was heartbroken and for once Penny saw her father that she always called a robot cry. It only got worse when he found out about Greta’s affair, he had to grieve and deal with the betrayl of the woman he loved so much. He’d always thought he was doing what was best for his family. Finally after a good couple years of barely talking the father and daughter sat down and talked, every single emotion you can think of came out. Suddenly Penny realized her father was the only person in her life that would love her no matter what, that he did love her. After she graduated from high school she applied to colleges that she could work toward art degrees, but she really hoped to get into a great school in Capeside Massachusetts because it had a program that allowed her to explore all of her passions at once.

She was accepted and her father decided he could use a change of scenery and decided he didn’t want to spend time away from his daughter, since he’d missed so much. Now Penny is working toward a Major in the Arts, she works part time at an Art Gallery and now has a much better relationship with her father and is actually glad that he decided to move with her. She’s grown up a lot and isn’t a horrible person to people anymore.
