-- PERSONALITY !
-- CANDID: Cecelia is a rather ‘honest’ person. She does not sugar coat things, and never tells people exactly what they want to hear. She knows she lacks tact, and doesn’t pretend to be surprised when the things she says upsets people. She knows being rather blunt with people can hurt them, but honesty is the best policy, is it not? Of course, like everything when it comes to C-c, it’s on her terms. If she has something to gain from being sugar sweet, she might just do so. Though even when she does have something to gain from white lies or tactful comments, there are those times when her tongue gets away from her and her true thoughts simply ‘slip’ out.
Further more, Cecelia is a snob. There is no other way to look at it. She snubs her nose at anything but designer label, complains about ‘dirty people’ on the streets and has even said no to a date in the past to someone because of his parents lack of annual income. However, she can appreciate a person who has found their way into money through whatever means. She doesn’t even think twice about letting her stuck-up nature show. If she thinks you are trash, she’d say so. Again, honesty is best.. right?
-- CUNNING: That’s become such a nasty word hasn’t it? What is wrong with using your intelligence to make sure things come out your way? As far as Cecelia sees, absolutely nothing. There is nothing more satisfying then having something pull of the exact way you wanted it to. Of course, there is only so much power an eighteen year old has. It is very frustrating when a plan fails, leaving C-c with the very thing she didn’t want. Of course, she’d probably smile and pretend that was exactly what she wanted in the first place. Oh to be young and far too proud to admit when you are wrong…
Cecelia is a hugely motivated young woman. She knows what she wants in life and works solidly towards those things. Yes, she can be a tad ruthless in her methods, but you have to respect the fact she has the drive to seek things out of life. When Cecelia digs her heals in about something, it’s not a great deal of use trying to fight her. She’s stubborn and always must win. Even if she is dead wrong and knows it, once a challenge has been issued she cannot back down until victory is in her grasp. Some could say she is almost desperate to succeed.
-- CALLOUS: While Cecelia may actually have some redeeming qualities and at times (when you can get over how blunt she is) even enjoyable, it is difficult to know how long that will last. Her moods can be unpredictable, and the smallest faux par on anyone’s behalf could send her into a rage. Where she is cruel and unforgiving, and even ruthless. She doesn’t consider anyone’s point of view, and only takes into consideration her own. Often resulting in anyone who dares disagree with her also feeling her wrath. Her words can be vicious, and she’s skilled at the art of a takedown. Her favourite is public humiliation.
The people close to her, however, seem to have a different fate. While she may not stay angry at her loved ones forever, while she is upset, it’s best to stay out of her way. It’s one thing when someone she is indifferent to upsets her, but her feelings can get out of control when it’s someone who isn’t supposed to upset her. Screaming, throwing, Tantrums, it’s all a part of what may be encountered. In particular when her heart is involved.
-- LOVES: Headbands, Lace, Flowers, Pastel colours, Old films, Elizabeth Taylor, Perfume, Fashion, Carbs, though she likes to pretend she can live of salad, Brunch, Snow
-- HATES: Nuts, Tacky things, Cheap jewellery , Carrying a handbag, though it’s so necessary right?, Heavy metal music, Bugs, Loosing, Crying, Public Transport, Working out, Action films
-- HISTORY !
What’s this? A rich family that isn’t completely dysfunctional? Well now that’s new. Cecelia has had a privileged life in almost every respect. Growing up in Capeside, it is no surprised that Cecelia saw life as one big holiday. Her father’s owned a string of highly successful holiday resorts, which left him with a lot money to spend on his family. Needless to say, the young Reese child was spoilt.. Perhaps even spoilt a little rotten. Her parents, while they treated Cecelia very well, were hardly the best role-models though… Old money never is. Parties and appearances always seemed more important than morals.
Cecelia’s mother was a southern Debutante who not only came from very old money, but had been raised to believe it was her whole job in life to look pretty and get married. An ideal that she was quick to try and instil in her daughter. However Cecelia, though she loved her mother, had a strong bond with her father and chose to take after him. A shrewd business man who did whatever he needed to do in order to get his way. Not only did he work for, and then later take over the family business, the man had his own ventures.
With her father on a pedestal, Cecelia started dreaming her own dreams. She wanted more from life then just to get married and have children. While, yes those things would have been nice, she also wanted to really do something with herself. The girl had always had a love for planning events that the older she became, it seemed such a natural progression that she’d desire to make a career out of event management. I mean, it was perfect right? She got to have complete control over things, while having to do very little work (because clearly she’d have staff to do all the work) then take all the glory for the perfect event?

FALLING IN LOVE WITH THE WRONG MAN. That was a rather hefty statement to make, even in someone’s own private thoughts. It was also a very debatable comment, and could be seen from a few different angles. Depending on which version of the man Alyson’s heart truly belonged to you saw. Was it the man who had put a ring on her finger, who was stable, decent and cherished everything about her. Or was it the man who toyed with her, insulted her and yet, moved her in ways she could not even comprehend. Was he the one she should love and the first the wrong man? Or had she gone and fallen in love with someone who, as far as those around her were concerned, only caused her pain? Further more, and probably more importantly, when will the convoluted thoughts in her head clear up and the truth show itself?
“London can have you...” came her bitter undertone. More of a comment to herself then anyone. A question she had not even let herself dare consider yet answered in one foul, dis-heartening swoop. He had no plans of staying here, or in her life. This was just his half-way house between one adventure to the next. How was it he could so easily walk in and out of her life? Taking and breaking her heart along the way. Just so casually as if it were nothing more than a game. Ha. A game. It was always a game for Maxwell Heaton. At times she wanted to grab him and shake him. Like a magic eight ball until it cut the crap and gave her a real answer.
Would she be able to deal with that though? Something real slipping from his lips, hovering out there? Never able to be taken back. Perhaps they both knew the game was safe, so they hid behind it. Crawled inside it like you would a large warm blanket, hiding from the rain. Or the storm. Even the game wasn’t safe anymore. It hadn’t been for quite a while. A moment clicked, and it had changed to deadly. No longer were it just empty words thrown around to make them feel smart and witty. Now the words were laden with venom. Ready to bite when the opportunity arose. You’d have thought she’d have learnt not to let her guard down. Apparently though, five years on and she needed a refresher.
Her stomach fell. Had no reason to be here. There was nothing left for him here. Her stomach fell clear from her torso into her pelvis and her heart twinged, threatening to split in two. But why? Was it pain at hearing he did not consider her a big enough draw card, or guilt at knowing she had inadvertently taken a reason he may have had off the table. A ring was certainly a seal of death on the flames of lovers past. Or at least, it should have been. Things did not often work out as they were supposed to. People could not turn off their emotions, as hard as they may try.
Taking in a deep breath, she kept her eyes away from his own gaze. Fixed on a point above his shoulder. She wasn’t able to do it; look into his searching eyes, knowing what her own would reflect. Guilt, Hurt, Hope... That would break the rules of their game. It was why she could never let herself hold his gaze for too long. He may have been able to train his eyes to show any emotion he wished them to show. However she could not change hers from expressing whatever true emotion she was working so hard at repressing. She wouldn’t let him have the satisfaction of seeing it in her eyes. “Yes..” She spoke in what she hoped were mock sweet tones. “What ties could you possibly have here?”
She shifted in her seat when the topic was turned to her. That was dangerous waters. Her entire life seemed to be consumed by Finn and the wedding plans at the moment. What could she possibly talk about that didn’t lead into wedding plans? Smirking slightly, she flicked out her hair. Joking, she could do that. “What, isn’t my two-by-four cubicle glamorous enough for you Mr. Heaton?” She finally met his gaze, flattering her lashes and attempting to sound as blonde as she could. Before letting a more serious tone take over. Eyes still staying on his. “You know that was never going to be me, a famous actress. I went to school to study art, and along the way fell in love with design. This,” she gestured to her sketches of rooms and fabric samples, “makes me happy..”
