[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,310,true] "...All right." It was all he could muster to say once Sophie had untangled herself from him. You would think after all of the times that she had pulled herself away, he would have built up a tolerance to the feeling in his stomach that made him feel empty inside. It wasn't his fault that her skin was the only thing that made him feeling alive, was it? Looking up at her, Luke gave a soft reassuring smile before deflating. His eyes closed themselves tightly, elbows resting on his knees as he hunched over to put his hands through his dark, untamed locks. He had no right to assume anything about Sophie, not even the fact that she had wanted him. And he shouldn't have antagonized it. The man shook his head before letting out a low sigh, he was just selfish. She deserved much better.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,310,true] From the moment her hands had touched his, it had ignited him, his heart beginning to bounce around in his chest like a bottle rocket. He hadn't expected this - usually Sophie would be half way down the hall by now. He never wanted her to leave him during these moments, but she had to. She needed to. Because if it was up to him, Luke knew he didn't have the strength to stay no. He watched as she slipped his fingers into her own, her words making him open his mouth, then close again. This wasn't...She couldn't be. "I..." He began , then stopped, collecting his words and trying his hardest not to catch the Sophie's eye for fear of what physical reaction it might set a go. "But you do," he bit his bottom lip, knowing this was the wrong thing to say, but letting the words fall out anyway, "You all ready do love me completely. And I deserve to be with the woman I love. I don't...I don't want any one else." His voice had fallen to a low whisper by the end, ashamed and discouraged. He knew he couldn't ask this of her, yet here he was, selfishly twisting the knife.
