-- HARLEY QUENTIN DAWSON !
-- NAME: harley dawson -- NICKNAMES: har -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: 26; january 26th -- BIRTH PLACE: capeside, MA -- ORIENTATION: bisexual -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: bike shop owner -- PLAYED BY: adam lambert
-- PERSONALITY !
-- TRICKSTER: Extremely playful, Harley seems to never have an off switch when it comes to joking around. He loves to pull pranks on people, especially the old fashioned ones like tacks on a friend's chair, or a bucket of water tipping over a door frame. Even when a situation turns serious, Har always seems to try and bring it back to the light side of things. He hates tense situations, especially when he's a part of them, so he always tries to divert attention towards something more enjoyable. Half the time, his jokes are so cheesy that he's the only one who finds them hilarious, but some tend to laugh along merely from the situation and the fact that his nerdiness was getting in the way. -- FLIRTATIOUS: He's also a gigantic flirt. He preys on men and women, but he'd rather actually go through with his plans with another guy, but hell, he's open to anything, really. He's quite mischievous, especially when it comes to romance. He's never been locked down in a relationship for longer than a month, and he keeps roaming to new conquests. However, that doesn't mean he isn't sensitive or willing to be in a relationship. He just hasn't found the right one yet. He's secretly a romantic, but he rarely lets that show; his cockiness and bold nature makes it hard for anyone to believe it. Most people rarely even try, though, and so his title of being flirt-of-the-year is always intact. He's fairly superstitious when it comes to love, believing in things like the stars and planet alignment. -- INSECURE: He's extremely insecure, which is a surprise to most because of his cocky attitude, but of course, that's a ruse to make people believe that he's as awesome as he pretends to be. He always needs constant reassurance of his worth, and he looks to others in order to get it. If someone doesn't enjoy his company, he'll blow it off as if it were nothing, but he tends to keep everything inside so people won't worry about him. He takes things personally sometimes, even if he isn't supposed to, but he rarely will break his cocky facade or show his hurt.
-- LOVES: bikes, cars, pulling pranks, comedy shows, horoscopes, nighttime, mature people, reading, fixing things, flirting -- HATES: being injured, his pride being dropped, insults, ignorance, his own insecurity, snakes, being called stupid, being used, people who pick on his friends, falling off of his bike
-- HISTORY !
Harley was born on a cold January morning, but his sunny disposition even at the very earliest stages of his life seemed to brighten up the hospital room a bit. At a young age, Harley found himself completely obsessed with jokes, pranks, and other sorts of things. Most of the jokes he knew weren't funny, of course, as he was only about four years old, but his father seemed to harbor a fascination with teaching Harley as many tricks and tools of the trade as possible. His father was also, consequentially, a mechanic. Why else would he name his son after one of the most famous bike brands out there? Harley found himself just as obsessive over motorcycles as his father, and even as a toddler, he'd find himself staring on longingly watching his father build and fix, wanting to join in.
He had never really known his mother -- she had died of cancer when he was six, so he tended to go to his father for most things that dealt with advice. He still remembers her, however. Her sweet, kind smile, and her caring disposition were always an inspiration to him, and he still treats his friends and coworkers with the same level of respect, with a hint of joking of course. He also found himself drawn to the arts; theater, performing, singing, he loved it all, and he would beg his dad every chance he got to go perform in plays. He got into many of them, and so musicals also became his passion. However, this wasn't what he wanted to do for a living... no, he was completely focused on his bikes. They were his true love, and he wanted to, surprisingly, follow in his father's footsteps and become a mechanic.
So, during high school, one would think he would blow off his studies because he had a set plan, but he was fairly studious. He didn't graduate with overly outstanding marks, as he was a total goof in class, but he certainly didn't barely make it out with a 2.0 GPA. He worked extremely hard in college, however, and began to mess around with his sexuality, discovering that he was bisexual. This was also around the time where he became fascinated with the stars and seeing into the future with them. He believes in all of this passionately, and if anyone ever says anything to insult it, he's already prepared a hell of a lot of evidence to back it up.
He graduated at twenty two with a degree in business and promptly took over his dad's family business, proudly calling himself the owner of Davidson motors.
-- SAMPLE !
Ryan wasn't really one to stop and watch a battle on the streets, but the elegant way that one of the trainers was commanding his Pokemon was inspiring enough to make him stop to watch. People were crowding around the scene, cheering on who their favorite was automatically. The trainer Ryan was watching intently had a Swablu, one of Ryan's favorite Pokemon. He looked at Aile on his shoulder, who ruffled his feathers in response. He was so much better than that cotton ball! Oh, it was unbelievable how easily Ryan was swayed when something was a little fluffier than he was himself... urgh. He would learn eventually that a Pidgey really was the right choice to make when it came to his starter.
Next to him were both Ruine and Corsaire. The young Totodile seemed completely entranced by the battle, her mouth unhinged as she stared at the scene. Ruine tossed his head a little, pawing at the ground in impatience. This entire scene was making him want to battle, and really badly. He hadn't been able to battle much since he was with Ryan, mainly because the man rarely wanted to battle at all for fear of hurting his own Pokemon or the offender. Ruine couldn't decide if that was noble or cowardly, but there had always been a fine line between the two, for him at least. He looked over his furry shoulder, his red eyes blinking as a young woman began to approach them. She didn't seem to know where she was going... wait, that was a she, right? She was wearing feminine clothing...
Ryan hadn't noticed the young woman until they bumped into him. An immediate apology came from her, and Ryan turned around and grinned nervously. She had a very androgynous look about her... male or female, he couldn't tell, but it wasn't like he cared. In fact, a stroke of jealousy was visible on Ryan's pale features. Oh, if only he could look like that when he wore skirts and dresses, but he was so tall! It just wasn't fair. He pursed his lips a little and shook himself out of the thought. "I-it-it's a-all r-ri-right... re-really, I'm o-okay..." he murmured softly, biting his bottom lip in a sudden bout of shyness. The person quickly berated in a foreign language, which began to get Ryan a bit interested... that was when his eyes landed on the Starly on the girl/boy's shoulder.
Aile's feathers ruffled a little at the sight of the female, his chest puffing out in a futile attempt to impress. Ryan's eyes lit up immediately, and a huge grin broke out on his face. "W-wow! Oh, w-what a p-pretty Starly!" he squealed in excitement, his hand moving to pet Aile on the wing in reassurance. "I l-love b-bird ty-ty-types, th-they're my f-favorites... s-so majestic..." He calmed a little and felt his face go bright red as his eyes drifted back to the floor. "Urf, s-sorry..." he muttered for no reason -- he was too used to apologizing.
