-- ARIANA MARIE TABER !
-- NAME: Ariana Marie Taber -- NICKNAMES: Arry -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: Nineteen. May 2, 1991 -- BIRTH PLACE: Capeside, MA -- ORIENTATION: Straight -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: Sophomore in college, Cashier at (insert your grocery store name here) -- PLAYED BY: Mandy Moore
-- PERSONALITY !
-- Hard-working: When Ariana sets her mind to something, she does her best at it. Currently her focus is finishing college, seeing as in high school she didn't focus much on her education. Also, a lot of her time is spent working, although its only a part time job it is her only source of income. Even with her relationships, if they mean something to Arry, she puts her all into them. The only problem is, if it is something she doesn't find she cares about, she doesn't bother to try with it. That includes cleaning her room, which even at the age of nineteen her mother still lectures her on. -- Playful: Ariana has a playful side, more than anything she enjoys having a good time. Despite finding herself busy between classes and work, making time for friends and some fun is a priority to her. She is constantly teasing her friends and family, but would never seriously hurt anyone's feelings. Serious moments or discussions tend to make her feel awkward, she usually attempts to joke about or laugh off a serious situation. The only time she will take something truly serious is if she or another person is really hurting. -- Naive: Being the type of person who looks for the good in everyone, its been proven in the past that it is very easy to take advantage of Ariana. Although she has found herself hurt before, she still holds on to the idea that a majority of the world has good intentions. Many times she goes out of her way to help others, even if they have not done the same for her. She is the type to automatically trust someone, until they give her a reason not to.
-- LOVES: friends, music, children, outdoors, camping, campfires, animals, family, rain, reading, the park, running. -- HATES: fighting, stress, her job, being lazy, beaches, violence, ignorant people, bees, being hurt, tea, fruity drinks.
-- HISTORY !
Many people in Capeside assume families in Grady Hallow must not be happy because they don't have much money to spend, but Ariana's family was always happy. She was their first child, they were still living in the compartment complex when she was born. Although her parents weren't yet married, nor planning for a child, she was very much loved. Soon after her, her brother was born, followed by her parents finally choosing to get married and move to a real home. It wasn't the best home, but it was good enough for them.
Arry didn't always get everything she wanted in life, but it taught her the value of money, about working for something she wanted. Sometimes it was upsetting, when all the girls in her class had certain shoes or clothing brands that they just couldn't waste money on, but as she got older she learned to care less about superficial things. Just because you couldn't blow money like many others, didn't mean you couldn't fit in. She was a very fun and confident person by the time she reached high school, making friends easily and always giving everyone a chance. There had been times where people would use her, it was simple seeing as she liked mostly everyone and tried to find good points in each person.
Although she was a hard worker, getting a job once she was sixteen, she didn't focus much on her education. Arry just couldn't push herself to try too hard, so her grades were mostly average. When it came time for picking out universities, she realized her options were limited with such average scores. Ultimately she chose to stay in Capeside for school, still living at her parents house, but mostly supporting herself. The realization that she would have to support herself made her work much harder once attending university, majoring in early childhood education.
-- SAMPLE !
Unlike a lot of people, Ariana enjoyed her job, as much as anyone could enjoy work. She didn’t dread getting up and ready for work in the morning, actually it was a relief to know she was going to hopefully finish the work she had left on her desk yesterday. So as her alarm went off, Arry hopped out of bed and went straight for the shower. She was a morning person, she could get up without turning her alarm on snooze several times. Mornings just made her feel refreshed, it was a new day. After her shower, she looked through her closet, before picking one of her work outfits that she had purchased specifically for the ministry. She figured it didn’t matter much what she wore, she almost always had her work robes on, unless she was in her office.
Ariana apparated into a muggle alleyway, just outside of the bathroom entrances into the ministry. They were all strange ways to get into the ministry, but it was for safety reasons mostly. It was routine, once she was in the ministry, she moved to the elevators, down to her floor and finally out of the crowds of witches and wizards from other departments. Her floor was probably one of the calmest, it was where the Minister's office was, where her tiny office was just down the hall from his. She liked her floor, it was quiet, easier to work in. Her heels made a clicking noise as she walked down to her little office, making the only sound so early in the morning. She tended to arrive earlier than necessary, but at least she got a head start on her work.
She considered herself successful, and she worked hard to get to where she was today. After graduating Hogwarts, she originally had no idea of what she wanted to do, and ended up in a low job at the Ministry. It didn’t take long for her to be noticed and promoted until she got to Junior Undersecretary, which was her current job title. Ariana was a very put together girl, organized and confident in herself. She let no one take advantage of her or put her down, she was a strong person and smart enough to get to where she wanted to be.
Entering her office, she closed the door behind her, slipping out of her robe and hanging it on the back of her chair. She took a seat, setting down the plastic to-go mug she had, which was only filled with warm hot chocolate, it was a strange choice for mornings but it was her favorite. Arry shuffled a bit through the papers on her desk, there was a stack she hadn’t finished looking over yesterday, and would have to finish before she left today. She glanced at her watch, it was nearing eight, more people would be coming in now.
