-- GREEDY: She likes to have things her way and there’s no other way to describe it. Since she was young, she’s enjoyed the attention of her parents. When that went away, she looked for it elsewhere. She loves being the center of attention and she loves when people talk about her, even if it’s bad. She’s grown to have a yearning for wealth and that is her main goal in life. She likes expensive clothes, expensive things, and dating rich men. There isn’t a reason in the world that she would date someone with a small pay cheque.
-- ENERGETIC: She’s not one to sit around doing nothing. She’s always loved being active, though not really through sport games. She prefers the water sports, like sailing and surfing, but does go for a short run most mornings. She has a lot of energy which leads to her accomplishing far more things than this who procrastinate. That being said, because she’s so strict to getting things done, people who procrastinate and waste her time piss her off. If they can’t keep up, then she’ll move on.
-- FEMININE: Although Odette is often considered a gold-digging bitch, she can be rather sweet and feminine-- when she wants to be. She hates the idea of dressing in a tomboy manner and doesn’t understand why some women do it. She’s all about the pastels, the lacy things, the high heels, the make-up, and anything else girly. There are times when she does put her want for wealth aside and focuses on taking care of someone, but those times are very rare. It’s hard for her to reveal the sweet side of her personality because she’s so used to just trying to take the things she wants. She sort of lapses in and out of this, though it takes quite some time to get close to her to see her sweet side.

Born in Paris, France the beautiful Odette Julia Archambault was not always as such. For the first portion of her life, she was not that different from other bundles of flesh that happened to grace the earth with their presence. She was the oldest child of six, having been born just after her mother graduated high school. At the time, Odette’s father had just graduated from trade school to be an electrician. Young Sophie Beachene and Lionel Archambault were at a bit of a loss. There were several solutions to Sophie’s pregnancy, but in the end they decided to keep the baby and get married. Both Sophie and Lionel’s parents were disgraced by the whole situation and tossed both young adults out of their respective houses.

Though it was hard to take care of a baby without much, Lionel and Sophie worked on a schedule. Lionel would work during the day as an electrician, and in the evening Sophie would work at a restaurant as a waitress. The separation caused a strain on the already somewhat unstable marriage, and with a newborn baby in the mix, the two parents were on the verge of breaking before their lives had really started. Eventually, as baby Odette aged and was able to go into daycare, Sophie was able to work during the day and be home with her husband in the evening. Lionel got promotions at work and they didn’t struggle as much with money. They weren’t rich by any means, but by the time Odette was five, they were middle class. When Odette was also five, it was time for the rest of the Archambault kids to make their appearance.

By the time the last Archambault child was born, Odette was 14. Next in line came: Sophia (then 9), Lorayne (then 7), Sebastien and Gabriel (then 5), and Isabelle (then 2). Odette hated it. For the first five years of her life, she was used to being the apple of her parents’ eyes. The attention that was given to the newest child, Sophia, did not bode well with Odette. She began to be more bratty, more demanding. She would do anything to get her parents’ attention, even if it meant breaking their rules. She settled down after a few more children came along. By the time her youngest sibling, Isabelle, arrived, Odette just didn’t care anymore. She didn’t feel like a part of the family and looked for amusement and love outside of the family.

When she was fourteen, she realised that she could use her good looks to her own advantage. She started breaking hearts, sweet talking, winning glances, and cementing her path in life. She wanted a better life than her family had. She wanted wealth, she wanted status; she wanted everything her parents never had. She studied hard, got good grades, went to school in Switzerland to get a degree in communications. When she finished that, she moved to America to get a degree in professional writing, and then finally a diploma in creative writing.

Having just finished her schooling a year prior, she moved to Boston. She didn’t like it. It was crowded, it was loud, it was dirty. She liked living the States, but wanted something a bit more...easy going, perhaps. She wanted to write, that was what she really wanted. She moved a little bit away from Boston and ended up in Capeside, where she began a relationship with a journalist, although she’s currently rather bored. She was never one to have a relationship. She loved the chase. She loved flings. She loved having fun without commitment. The only time she plans to really commitment to someone is when she plans to commitment to their money. Odette has her sights set high and is looking for the next best thing in her life.
