-- BRAVE: Alexandria has always been the 'tough' girl. She's not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She's not afraid to get out there when there's a risk of getting killed. She's not afraid to go after someone, or to do whatever she needs to do to get ahead. She oozes confidence, although she's not egotistical. She's very self aware. She doesn't often allow herself to think about all the things that could go wrong- she's going to do her job, and she's going to do it right. She can take a punch and she can throw a punch. While she has fears just like everyone else, she's able to push them to the back of her mind so they don't get in the way of what she has to do.
-- LOYAL: When she's close to someone, she's loyal to a fault. She'd take a bullet for her partner, her family, her squad. She would never think to betray someone she trusted, or who trusted her. Unfortunately, she has the tendency to close herself off to new people. Sure- if there's a case where there's someone she needs to protect, she'll embrace them. But when it comes to people coming in regularly, whether it be a potential friend, or potential love interest, it takes her quite a long time to warm up to them. She's nice, of course, but she wouldn't trust them with her life. She's seen too many situations where betrayal plays a huge part, and she doesn't want to be naive enough to get caught up in all of that. Still, she's someone that can be counted on. She's a good person to earn the trust of, even if it does take work, because she'll do her best to make sure you aren't put in harm's way.
-- INTELLIGENT: She's never been one to like school, but she's very good as far as street-smarts are concerned. Alex is perceptive. She can pick up on small details. Psychology is her strong point- she's good at what she does because she can get in the right mind set, and she can piece things together to catch murderers. She's smart enough to know when to stay away from someone. What's most important, however, is that she knows how to utilize the knowledge she has. She doesn't just let it sit and rot in the back of her mind. She can put things together. Of course, because she's very perceptive, she has the tendency to put too much of herself in her work. She becomes far too invested at times.
-- COMIC RELIEF: This, while not a personality trait, is something she tries to provide. Her line of work can get very... Stressful. A dead child, a killer that's out running loose, it can take a toll on a detective. She tries not to let that doom-ish feeling make too much of an impact on everyone. While her humor is relatively dry, she tries to keep things light around the office. Sure, she knows when to be serious, but she also aims to make people happy. She's a nice person. Just because she doesn't often let people in, that doesn't mean she's rude. She likes to engage in conversation with people when she grabs a drink at the bar after a long day. She likes to crack jokes, be happy, make people laugh. She just tends to do it on a very shallow level.

Alex was born and raised in Capeside, and her family is pretty well known around the area. As a kid, she grew up in a calm home. Her mother was a teacher and her father was a homicide detective for the police. He loved his job, and Alexandria took interest in his line of work early on. Her older brother was more bound for a big-name school, taking care in education. She, on the other hand, wasn't quite so interested in school. She had more street smarts than anything else, and she knew how to utilize them. She grew frustrated the more her mother tried to push her schoolwork on her, and drifted more towards her father, who was a respectable man.

When she was fifteen, her father was killed in the line of duty- shot three times in the chest. He died instantly, and the man who shot him (already with three homicides on his hands) was caught the next day. The Reynolds family was shaken up. Alexandria was more intent than ever on following in her father's footsteps. Upon graduating from High School, she attended a local college and received an associate's degree in criminal justice. when she was twenty years old, she trained to become a police officer, and found she was just as good at the job as her father was. As required, she spent three years on patrol as a regular officer, before being promoted to a homicide detective.

As expected, Alex loved the job. She often bickers with her mother on the matter, because her mother and brother have become wary since Mr. Reynold's death, but nothing's been able to stop her. She was partnered up with a man who'd been on the squad just a couple of years longer than her, and although it took them a bit to warm up to each other, he soon became the only person outside of her family that Alexandria trusted. Through her years on the squad, they grew close, becoming best friends and confidants- not to mention the sexual tension that had been brewing between them since day one.

They were working on a rather dicey case when, in the middle of a shoot-out, her partner was hit. Although expected to wake up, he is currently in a coma at the local hospital, and she's worried sick. She's been assigned a new partner and, although he's good at what he does, she's skeptical and not too thrilled about the switch.
