-- ADDISON ELLA O'BRIEN !
-- NAME: Addison Ella O'Brien -- NICKNAMES: Addie -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: Eighteen & August 3rd -- BIRTH PLACE: Capeside, Massachusetts -- ORIENTATION: Heterosexual -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: Flower shop employee -- PLAYED BY: Candice Accola
-- PERSONALITY !
-- DETERMINED: Addie is one of the biggest over-achievers a person will ever meet, and she never stops until everything is absolutely perfect. She's a perfectionist at heart, and to some, she is unstoppable. Whatever she wants, she always works hard for until she gets, and nothing seems to be able to stand in her way. She pushes herself to no end, always staying after at the flower shop, or even spending an extra hour perfecting her hair when it already looked good. When she was in school, she would spend hours upon hours on her schoolwork, always trying her hardest to be the best in the class. She never was, but she did try incredibly hard. To others, it seems as though nothing is out of reach for her, but sometimes she knows that's not true. -- CARING: Whereas some people can be seen as sweet, Addie isn't really known as sweet, but as caring. Sweet can be a facade, a front to hide who you really are. But, caring is deep down. Kindness is deep down, and Addie has that. She cares about the people she loves, and a lot of the times, she tends to care about a person she barely even knows. She likes to look out for others, and she doesn't want them to look out for her. She always feels like she can take care of herself, and in a lot of ways, she can be seen as extremely naive. She will believe anything anyone tells her in the hopes that they would never lie to her. She used to never see the world as bad, everything in it was good, but ever since a few events that have happened in her life, she knows it's not all good. Even so, she still will believe anything. She still has hope, and she's extremely optomistic. -- FORGETFUL: Even through all of this, though, Addie is not the brightest crayon in the box. Half of the time, she wont understand a joke, and a lot of things go right over her head. When she was in school, she had a hard time keeping up, and she quickly realized the only way she could even get average grades is if she worked ten million times harder than the rest of them. She was never the best in school because she could never understand any of the concepts that the teachers taught. She doesn't have very many street-smarts, either, and she forgets absolutely everything. She cant remember a single thing to save her life, and a lot of times, her friends find it incredibly annoying. -- JUDGEMENTAL: Addie has one of the most wired brains anyone could imagine- everyone is nice, everyone has to work hard, and if you dont do either, then she doesn't prefer to talk to you. She wont not like you, she just will go out of her way to avoid you. She hates any type of drama, and a lot of the times, she judges far too fast. Once she sets her mind on an opinion of someone, no one can change it. It's either everyone is sweet or everyone is mean- and she will base that after only seeing you for ten minutes. However, she tends to judge from afar, just because of how quiet she is. She's very shy and keeps to herself a lot, and she's incredibly insecure.
-- LOVES: orange scents, gardenia flowers, romance novels, happy endings, working, being busy, her boyfriend, dancing around a room, perfection, and boston cream pie. -- HATES: failing, her boyfriend, anything that smells like lavender, being second best, soda, clowns, her looks, snow, dark colors, and hot weather.
-- HISTORY !
Addison Ella O'Brien was born to Marisa and Jean O'Brien, a rather young couple. She grew up in a small cottage by the cape, and when she turned two years old, her little sister Hanna was born. Addie had a rather average life, one that involved parents who adored her and Hanna, and a rather well-off lifestyle. Of course, they weren't rich or anything, but they did have money, and they weren't on the edge of being poor. She had a small dog that she named Tootsie when she was three years old, because she saw the movie 'Wizard of Oz' and wanted to name the dog Toto, but it came out as Tootie, which soon changed to Tootsie. Her dad was a carpenter, and her mom a stay-at-home mom, so Addie and Hanna spent a lot of time with their parents. Their dad only had to work average day hours, and since their mom stayed at home they had a lot of family time. Over all, they were a very well rounded family.
Addie went to the same high school everyone in Capeside did, and she grew up with a lot of her friends. Many of the friends she has today are friends she has known all her life. She had a bit of a problem keeping up with the other students in school, and she had to work extra hard just to stay on the same level as them. She struggled all through her school years just to maintain good grades, and just because of that she didn't really participate in any afterschool activities. She had always wanted to go to college, graduate from there, get a job, have a family. But, when she applied for colleges her senior year, she got rejected from a lot of them, simply because she didn't participate in any afterschool activities, and her grades were only average. The only college she got accepted into was Maryland State, and she didn't even want to go to that college. She was devestated, but she decided that she would take a break for a year, and then apply for a college the next year.
Now, she is working at a flower shop where she delivers flowers, and she's dating a guy she met there. She never really had boyfriends growing up, simply because she was mostly focused on school. She had always wanted a prince to sweep her off her feet, though, one like the guys in the Nicholas Sparks's novels. She had everything figured out, from the way they would have their first kiss to the way he looked, and even though her current boyfriend doesn't exactly look the way she imagined, he acts like it. He's the perfect gentlemen, her parents love him, and he's charming as hell. Little do most people know, though, that he likes control. And Addie? She's as independent as it gets, and he doesn't like that. So, he knocks her down, takes away the light that was once inside of her. He likes it better when she listens to what he says and she doesn't have an opinion, so he tries to make sure she knows that.
And Addie? She doesn't really know what to think of her perfect fairytale anymore.
-- SAMPLE !
It had been a long day for Kendall.
It seemed like more people were suddenly having the urge to send flowers to the person they loved, and Kendall adored it. It never bothered her because she thought it was utterly romantic, especially when the guy would come in blushing, almost as though he were shy about it. She would never tease them, always being perfectly polite, and she definitely knew her flowers. Most of the time, people came in there not knowing what type of flowers to get, and she would have to help them choose and offer advice. She knew the basics- if the girl is classy, you give her a rose; if she's sweet, daisies; and if she's more edgy, then stargazer lillies. But sometimes she had to go more in depth than that. After all, girls are picky.
Personally, she preffered the gardenias. They were bright, and made her happy just by looking at them, and, coincedentally, those were the flowers she was delivering now. A man had come into the flower shop earlier, shy and uncomfortable, saying he was going to ask his girlfriend to marry him. He'd wanted Kendall to deliver the flowers with a note, asking her to meet him for dinner. Kendall had almost swooned just from the idea, but she'd maintained her posture and helped him out. He told her about his girlfriend, and ironically, she'd had the same taste as Kendall. She had then immediately directed him to the gardenias, knowing she had the sale in the bag right when she saw the look on his face. Now, all she had to do was deliver them.
That was always her favorite part. Seeing how the girl responds, how she almost always looks just so in love. It reminded Kendall of when you look at the groom's face during a wedding while the bride is walking down the aisle. It's just.... romantic. And that's what she was looking forward to today. Apparantly, the girlfriend was the secretary of La Push High School. It didn't bother Kendall because she'd been there before, when she'd gone to watch a performance there when she was eight. She should've gone to high school there, but instead, she'd moved around a bit. She missed the old building, and as she pulled up, she couldn't help but envy the students. They hadn't had to put up with home schooling- no, they could go to school like regular kids.
She had pulled up next to a red truck, and the first thing that had caught her eye was that it looked nicer than most of the other students cars. Not the vehicle in general- it wasn't a convertible, or anything- but it looked brand new. She caught herself staring at it a bit as she stepped out of the car, grabbing the flowers from the backseat, and it wasn't until she forced her eyes to look up from the car that she noticed who was leaning against it. She recognized him almost immediately, she just couldn't put her finger on it as to who he was. She faintly remembered the facial features, but it wasn't until a small childhood memory hit her that she remembered. And with that, she smiled brightly, her eyes lighting up as she fought the urge to give him a hug. "Fao!" She laughed lightly, "It's me. Kendall. Remember?"
