-- AISLINN MAOLISA BURKE !
-- NAME: Aislinn Maolisa Burke. -- NICKNAMES: Ash. -- AGE & BIRTHDAY: Nineteen & 19th January. -- BIRTH PLACE: Dublin, Ireland. -- ORIENTATION: Heterosexual. -- OCCUPATION & SCHOOL GRADE: works at the blackwater banshee. -- PLAYED BY: cintia dicker
-- PERSONALITY !
-- INDIVIDUAL: People either rely on their close friends to bail them out of a sticky situation or they try and solve it themselves. Aislinn prefers to work things out for herself, she doesn’t seek assistance from others, maybe for advice on clothes but that is only a minor situation in her books. Aislinn has always been an individual, she would study on her own, complete assignments on her own, dress how she wanted and ignore what others said. Truth be told, the only reason she is like this is because when she was younger she decided she didn’t need friends that she was fine by herself and she didn’t need to go out and get drunk to have a good time, classing her as an anti-social freak. -- STUBBORN: Most people are stubborn these days and can be considered hard to shift. Aislinn Burke happens to be extremely stubborn, and it goes well with her individual personality trait. If the red head has an opinion, she shall stick by it, even if she does see why your point is more valid than her own. If she doesn’t want to go out, she shan’t go out! It doesn’t matter if it’s a beautiful day; she will stay put if that is what she wants. -- CARING: Though she tends not to get so close to others, she does have a sensitive bone and cares for others, despite her feelings against being to social. If you need someone to chat to she is a phone call away, and if you need a place to stay she’ll let you in to her apartment for a day or two. Doing something that makes others happy makes her happy, so being caring seems like a pretty good trait to have!
-- LOVES: modern art, painting, drawing, late night walks, free drink at work, a clean environment, being left alone, admiring the outdoors, music, artistic people, anything that involves being creative and her brother. -- HATES: loud people, cold winter nights, fashion, love, players, arguments, confrontation, drugs, smoking, slags and reveling clothes.
-- HISTORY !
Ireland had never been a fascinating place in Europe, who would want to visit a country that was known for there alcoholic citizens? The Burke family were known as Irish travellers, and Peter Burke use to breed greyhounds in order to get money for his family. It was never a healthy or wealthy lifestyle for them; they had their caravan and lived in a caravan park that only had a small kitchen, very small bathroom and one bedroom with a double bed that would only fit Peter Burke and his wife Heather Burke. The pair was only seventeen when they fell pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl. It would be difficult but Peter had promised his wife that they would live in a house one day, or a small flat located in Dublin. Nine months later Heather brought home the new born twins whom had both been named after careful thought. They named the oldest, who was a male, Aedan and the female Aislinn. They planned to have the perfect family and prayed to god that they would fall into a perfect lifestyle, eventually.
It was tough for the Burke’s, living in a small caravan that only fit two people in. Peter continued to breed different dogs and sell them for at least £300, which got them enough for food and clothing. After seven years of saving up, they were able to leave their small caravan behind and moved into a council flat, but their travel history haunted them. Peter Burke had unpaid debts and people weren’t happy about what he had done in the past, the Irish travellers threatened Peter and his family, usually telling him how they’d burn down his home with his family inside. When the twins turned ten, Peter Burke took off and left Heather and the twins alone in the flat, and he never came back. Luckily he had left money behind and Heather had a job, but this wouldn’t last as people still assumed that Peter Burke lived in the flat with them. Fearing for her family, on the twins fourteenth birthday they moved to America, escaping the treats and living in constant fear.
Heather rented a small apartment in a rough neighbourhood and continued to work, but had two jobs. The twins, who were late to education were sent to school and received extra help. Aislinn got bullied by her fellow school mates, often because of her nationality, or because she was ginger, some people even called her thick because of her extra tuition. Aislinn was determined to prove them all wrong and began to study several nights a week, ignoring her social life. After two years of being thick, she was the smartest in the class and learned to love her ginger hair. Aedan on the other hand was a more rebellious teenager, drugs, smoking, and what really annoyed Aislinn? He was extremely popular and he didn’t get her involved. Half the time he pretended he didn’t know her, which upset her. After graduating from school, Aislinn got a job at an Irish pub but kept her Irish traveller history underwraps.
-- SAMPLE !
It was surprising that the Greyback siblings actually accepted her into the family, well they were a bit taken back by the chaos that she brought with her. Now she had grown up a bit, she learned that she had to try and get along with her siblings, but she found it quite difficult to get along with them, especially her older sister Harper Greyback. It felt like she wanted nothing to do with Alexis, but she learned to ignore it after all Kit seemed to accept her for who she was, and accept the fact that Alexis hated being a werewolf. A soft chuckle escaped her lips and she smiled, “Well, thanks Romeo but in my opinion I hate the day after the full moon.” She was quite happy that he complimented her, even after a difficult night. Although she wasn’t sure if he was just saying it to make her feel better about herself, or if he actually meant what he said. Alexis was aware that she had a crush on the hufflepuff, but she didn’t know if it would last long. After all, most people would say that after a while of crushing on someone, the feelings would merely disappear.
The usual werewolf and vampire rivalry didn’t exist between Alexis and Romeo, although she wasn’t sure how her siblings would react if they knew that her best friend was a vampire. She wasn’t really bothered by it, but she knew that some of her older siblings had problems with vampires, and she didn’t really understand why. Alexis learned to put her werewolf curse aside and befriend people, even if they were vampires.
Alexis shrugged her shoulders and faked a smile, “Well, I find that the pains and aches fade by afternoon,” After a few years of transforming she had learned to live with the after effects, but they still caused her a lot of pain. “I suppose that is much worse than living with aching muscles?” Even though her best friend was a vampire, she didn’t really know a lot about them, all she knew was that they drunk human blood to quench their thirst. Alexis giggled and smiled immaturely, “I’ll go all werewolf on your arse boy!” Of course she’d never dream of hurting him, never in a million years but she felt she could easily beat him in a fight.
